mahabharat: udyog parv: trichathvariansh adhyay: shlok 30-45 ka hindi anuvad
- vairaghyapoorvak padarthoan ke thyag se jo nishhkamata ati hai, vah shvechhchhapoorvak unaka upabhog karane se nahian ati. adhik dhan-samhpati ke sangrah se nishhkamata nahian siddh hoti tatha kamanapoorvak ke liye usaka upabhog karane se bhi kam ka thyag nahian hota. (30)
- jo purush sab gunoan se yukht aur dhanavan hoan, yadi usake kiye hue karm siddh n hoan to unake liye du:kh evan ghlani n karean. (31)
- koee apriy ghatana ho jay to kabhi vhyatha ko n prapht ho yah chotha thyag hai. apane abhishhth padarth shtri v putradi ki kabhi yachana n kare yah paanchavaan thyag hai. (32)
- suyoghy yachak ke a jane par use dan kare yah chhatha thyag hai. in sabase kalhyan hota hai. in thyagamay gunoan se manushhy apramadi hota hai. us apramad ke bhi ath gun mane gaye haian- sathy, dhhyan, adhhyathmavishayak vichar, samadhan, vairaghy, chauri n karana, brahmachary aur aparigrah. (33-34)
- ye ath gun thyag aur apramad donoan ke hi samajhane chahiye. isi prakar jo mad ke atharah dosh pahale bataye gaye haian, unaka sarvatha thyag karana chahiye. pramad ke ath dosh haian, unhhean bhi thyag dena chahiye. (35)
- bharat! paanch indriyaan aur chhatha man- inaki apane-apane vishayoan mean jo bhogabuddhi se pravritti hoti haian, chh: to ye hi pramad vishayak dosh haian aur bhootakal ki chinta tatha bhavishhy ki asha- do dosh ye haian. in ath doshoan se mukt purush sukhi hota hai. (36)
- rajendr! tum satyasvaroop ho jao, saty mean hi sampoorn lok pratishthit haian. ve dam, tyag aur apramad adi gun bhi satyasvaroop paramatma ki prapti karane vale haian; saty mean hi amrit ki pratishhtha hai. (37)
- doshoan ko nivritt karake hi yahaan tap aur vrat ka acharan karana chahiye, yah vidhata ka banaya hua niyam hai. saty hi shreshhth purushoan ka vrat hai. manushhy ko uparyukt doshoan se rahit aur gunoan se yukt hona chahiye. aise purush ka hi vishuddh tap atyant samriddh hota hai. rajan! tumane jo mujhase poochha hai, vah maianne sankshep se bata diya. yah tap janm, mrityu aur vriddhavastha ke kashht ko door karane vala, papahari tatha param pavitr hai. (38-40)
- dhritarashhtr ne kaha- mune! itihas puran jinamean paanchavaan hai, un sampoorn vedoan ke dvara kuchh logoan ka vishesh roop se nam liya jata hai arthat ve panchavedi kahalate haian, doosare log chaturvedi aur trivedi kahe jate haian. (41)
- isi prakar kuchh log dvivedi, ekavedi ttha anrich[1] kahalate haian. inamean se kaun-se aise haian, jinhean maian nishchit roop se brahman samajhooan? (42)
- sanatsujat ne kaha- rajan! srishti ke adi mean ved ek hi the, parantu n samajhane ke karan [2] bahut-se vibhag kar diye gaye haian. us satyasvaroop ek ved ke saratattv paramatma mean to koee birala hi sthit hota hai. (43)
- is prakar ved ke tattv ko n janakar bhi kuchh log ‘maian vidvan hooan’ aisa manane lagate haian; phir unaki dan, adhhyayan aur yajnadi karmoan mean[3] lobh se pravritti hoti hai. (44)
- vastav mean jo satyasvaroop paramatma se chyut ho gaye haian, unhian ka vaisa sankalp hota hai. phir satyaroop ved ke pramanhy ka nishhchay karake hi unake dvara yajnoan ka vistar[4] kiya jata hai. (45)
