ann aur jal ke dan ki mahima

yudhishthir ne poochha- tat! bharatanandan! apane jo danoan ka phal bataya hai, use maianne sun liya. yahaan annadan ki vishesh roop se prashansa ki gayi hai. pitamah! ab jaladan karane se kaise mahan phal ki prapti hoti hai, is vishay ko maian vistar ke sath sunana chahata hooan.

bhishm ji kahate haian- satyaparakrami bharatashreshth! maian tumhean sab kuchh yatharth roop se bataooanga. tum aj yahaan mere muanh se in sab batoan ko suno. anagh! jaladan se lekar sab prakar ke danoan ka phal maian tumhean bataooanga. manushy ann aur jal ka dan karake jis phal ko pata hai, vah suno. tat! mere man mean yah dharana hai ki ann aur jal ke dan se badhakar koee doosara dan nahian hai; kyoanki ann se hi sab prani utpann hote aur jivan dharan karate haian. isaliye lok mean tatha sampoorn manushyoan mean ann ko hi sabase uttam bataya gaya hai. ann se hi sada praniyoan ke tej aur bal ki vriddhi hoti hai; atah prajapati ne ann ke dan ko hi sarvashreshth batalaya hai.

kuntinandan! tumane savitri ke shubh vachan ko bhi suna hai. mahamate! devataoan ke yajn mean jis hetu se aur jis prakar jo vachan savitri ne kaha tha, vah is prakar hai- ‘jis manushy ne yahaan kisi ko ann diya hai, usane mano pran de diye aur pranadan se badhakar is sansar mean doosara koee dan nahian hai.’ mahabaho! is vishay mean tumane lomash ka bhi vachan suna hi hai. prajanath! poorvakal mean raja shibi ne kabootar ke liye pranadan dekar jo uttam gati prapt ki thi, brahman ko ann dekar data usi gati ko prapt kar leta hai.

kurushreshth! atah pranadan karane vale purush shreshth gati ko prapt hote haian, aisa hamane suna hai. kiantu ann bhi jal se hi paida hota hai. jalarashi se utpann hue dhany ke bina kuchh bhi nahian ho sakata. maharaj! grahoan ke adhipati bhagavan som jal se hi prakat hue haian. prajanath! amrit, sudha, svaha, svadha, ann, oshadhi, trin aur lataean bhi jal se utpann hee haian, jinase samast praniyoan ke pran prakat evan pusht hote haian. devataoan ka ann amrit, nagoan ka ann sudha, pitaroan ka ann svadha aur pashuoan ka ann trin-lata adi haian. manishi purushoan ne ann ko hi manushyoan ka pran bataya hai. purushasianh! sab prakar ka ann (khady padarth) jal se hi utpann hota hai; atah jaladan se badhakar doosara koee dan nahian hai. jo manushy apana kalyan chahata hai, use pratidin jaladan karana chahiye. jaladan is jagat mean dhan, yash aur ayu ki vriddhi karane vala bataya jata hai. kuntinandan! jaladan karane vala purush sada apane shatruoan se bhi oopar rahata hai. vah is jagat mean sampoorn kamanaoan tatha akshay kirti ko prapt karata hai aur sampoorn papoan se mukt ho jata hai. mrityu ke pashchat vah akshay sukh ka bhagi hota hai. mahatejasvi purushasianh! jaladan karane vala purush svarg mean jakar vahaan ke akshay lokoan par adhikar prapt karata hai, aisa manu ne kaha hai.
