ashram-dharm ka varnan

bhishm ji kahate haian-satyaparakrami mahabahu yudhishthir! ab tum charoan ashramoan ke nam aur karm suno. brahmachary, mahanh ashram garhasthy, vanaprasth aur bhaikshyachary (sannyas)-ye char ashram haian. chauthe ashram sannyasaka avalamban keval brahmanoan ne kiya hai.(brahmachary-ashramamean) choo dakaran-sanskar aur upanayanake anantar dvijatvako prapt ho vedadhyayan poorn karake (samavartan ke pashchath vivah kare, phir) garhasthy ashram mean agrihotr adi karm sampann karake indriyoan ko sanyam mean rakhate hue manasvi purush stri ko sath lekar athava bina stri ke hi grihasthashram se kritakrity ho vanaprasthashram mean pravesh kare. vahaan dharmajn purush aranyakashastroan ka adhyayan karane vanaprasth-dharmaka palan kare. tatpashchath brahmachary palanapoorvak us ashram se nikal jay aur vidhipoorvak sannyas grahan kar le. is prakar sannyas lene vala purush avinashi brahmabhav ko prapt ho jata hai.
rajanh! vidvanh brahman ko oordhvareta muniyoan dvara acharanamean laye hue inhian sadhanoan ka sarvapratham ashray lena chahiye. prajanath! jisane brahmachary ka palan kiya hai, us brahmachari brahman ke man mean yadi moksh ki abhilasha jag uthe to use brahmachary-ashram se hi sannyas grahan karane ka uttam adhikar prapt ho jata hai. sannyasi ko chahiye ki vah man aur indriyoan ko sanyam mean rakhate hue munivritti se rahe. kisi vastu ki kamana n kare. apane liye math ya kuti n banavaye. nirantar ghoomata rahe aur jahaan sooryast ho vahian thahar jay. prarabdhavash jo kuchh mil jay, usi se van-nirvah kare. asha-trishna ka sarvatha tyag karake sabake prati saman bhav rakhe. bhogoan se door rahe aur hriday mean kisi prakar ka vikar n ane de. inhian sab dharmoan ke karan is ashram ko ‘kshemashram‘ (kalyanapraptika sthan) kahate haian.
is ashram mean aya hua brahman avinashi brahm ke sath ekata prapt kar leta hai. ab grihasthashram ke dharm suno-jo vedoan ka adhyayan poorn karake samast vedokt shubh karmoan ka anushthan karane ke pashchath apani vivahita patni ke garbh se santan utpann kar us ashram ke nyayochit bhogoan ko bhogata aur ekagrachitt ho munijanochit dharm se yukt dushkar garhasthy dharm ka palan karata hai, vah uttam hai. grihasth ko chahiye ki vah apani hi stri mean anurag rakhate hue santusht rahe. rritukal mean hi patni ke sath samagam kare. shastroan ki ajna ka palan karata rahe. shathata aur kutilata se door rahe. parimit ahar grahan kare. devataoan ki aradhana mean tatpar rahe. upakar karane valoan ke prati kritajnata prakat kare. saty bole. sabake prati mridubhav rakhe. kisi ke prati kroor n bane aur sada kshamabhav rakhe. grihasthashrami purush indriyoan ka sanyam kare, gurujanoan evan shastroan ki ajna mane, devataoan aur pitaroan ki triptike liye havy aur kavy samarpit karane mean kabhi bhool n hone de, any sab ashramoan ko bhojan dekar unaka palan-poshan karata rahe aur sada yajn-yagadi mean laga rahe. tat! is vishay mean mahanubhav maharshigan narayanagit ka ullekh kiya karate haian jo mahanh arthase yukt aur atyant tapasya dvara prerit hokar kaha gaya hai. maian usaka varnan karata hooan, tum suno. ‘grihasth purush is lok mean saty, saralata, atithisatkar, dharm, arth, apani patni ke prati anurag tatha sukh sevan kare. aisa hone par hi use paralok mean bhi sukh prapt hote haian, yah mera mat hai‘.
