vidvanh sadachari purohit ki avashyakata tatha brahman aur kshatriy mean mel rahane se labhavishayak raja puroorava ka upakhyan


bhishm ji bole- rajanh! raja ko chahiye ki dharm aur arth ki gati ko atyant gahan samajhakar avilamb kisi aise brahyan ko purohit bana le, jo vidvan aur bahushrut ho. rajanh! jin rajaoan ka purohit dharmatma evan salah dene mean kushal hota hai aur jinaka raja bhi aise hi gunoan se sampann ( dharmaparayan evan gupt batoan ka janane vala )hota hai, un raja aur prajaoan ka sab prakar bhala hota hai. unake dharm, arth aur kam tinoan ki nishchay hi siddhi hoti hai. yudhishthir! is vishay mean shukrachary ke gaye hue kuchh shlok haian, unhe tum suno. jis raja ke pas purohit nahian vah uchchhisht ( apavitr ) ho jata hai. jisake pas purohit nahian hai, vah raja rakshasoan, asuro, pichasoan, nagoan, pakshiyoan, ka tatha shatruoan ka vadhy hota hai. purohit ko chahiye ki raja ke lie jo sada avashyak kartavy hoan jo- jo bade-bade़ utpat hone-vale hoan jo abhisht tatha maganlik krity hoan tatha jo antah pur se sambandh rakhane vale vritant hoan, ve sab raja ko batave.
raja ko priy lagane vale jo git aur nrityasambandhi kary hoan, unamean karane yogy kartavy ka purohit nirdesh kare, balivaishvadev karm ka sampadan kare. jo raja anukul nakshatr utpann hua hai tatha raja shastr ki poorn shiksha prapt kar chuka hai, usase bhi shreshth usaka purohit hona chahiyean. jo bhinn-bhinn prakar ke nimittoan aur utpatoan ka rahasy janata ho tatha shatru paksh ke vinashaki pranali ka bhi janakar hoan aisa shreshthatam purush raja ka puarohit hona chahiye. yadi raja aur purohit dharmanishth, shraddhey tatha tapasvi hoan, ek-doosare ke prati sauhard rakhate hoan aur saman hriday vale hoan to ve donoan milakar praja ki vriddhi karate haian tatha sampoorn devataoan evan pitaroan ko trity karake putr aur prajati varg ko abhyudayashil banate hai aise brahyan (purohit) aur kshatriy (raja) ka samman karane se praja ko sukh ki prapti hoti hai. un donoan ka anadar karane se praja ka vinash hi hota hai, kyoanki brahyan aur kshatriy sabhi varno ke mool kahe jate haian. is vishay mean raja puroorava aur maharshi kashyap ke sanvad rup prachin itihas ka udaharan diya karate haian. yudhishthir! tum use suno.

puroorava ne poochha- maharshe! brahman aur kshatriy donoan sath rahakar hi sabal hote haian; parantu jab brahyan purohit kisi karan ko chhod deta hai, tab any varn ke log in dono me se kisaka ashray grahan karate haian? tatha donoan me se kaun sabako ashray deta hai? kashyap ne kaha- rajanh! shreshth purush is bat ko janate haian ki sansar mean jahaan brahyan kshatriy se virodh karata hai, vahaan kshatriy ka rajy chhitr -bhitr ho jata hai aur lutere dal-bal ke sath akar us par adhikar jama lete haian tatha vahaan nivas karane vale sabhi varn ke logoan ko apane adhin kar lete haian.   1. jo kshatriy brahyan ko tyag dete haian, tab unaka vedadhyayan age nahian badhata, unake putroan ki bhi vriddhi nahian hoti, unake yahaan dahi-doodh ka mataka nahian matha jata aur n ve yajn hi kar pate haian. ve pad bhrisht hokar dakuoan ki ki bhaanti lootpat karane lagate haian.
