jnani purush ki sthiti tatha adhvaryu aur yati ka sanvad[1] brahman kahate haian- maian n to gandhoan ko sooghanta hooan, n rasoan ka asvadan karata hooan, n roop ko dekhata hooan, n kisi vastu ka sparsh karata hooan, n nana prakar ke shabdoan ko sunata hooan aur n koee sankalp hi karata hooan. svabhav hi abhisht padarthoan ki kamana rakhata hai, svabhav hi sampoorn dveshy vastuoan ke prati dvesh karata hai. jaise pran aur apan svabhav se hi praniyoan ke shariroan mean pravisht hokar ann pachan adi ka kary karate rahate haian, usi prakar svabhav se hi rag aur dvesh ki utpatti hoti hai. tatpary yah ki buddhi adi indriyaan svabhav se hi padarthoan mean bart rahi haian.

in bahy indriyoan aur vishayoan se bhinn jo svapn aur sushupti ke vasanamay vishay evan indriyaan haian tatha unamean bhi jo nityabhav haian, unase bhi vilakshan jo bhootatma hai, usako sharir ke bhitar yogijan dekh pate haian. usi bhootatma mean sthit hua maian kahian kisi tarah bhi kam, krodh, jara aur mrityu se grast nahian hota. maian sampoorn kamanaoan mean se kisi ki kamana nahian karata. samast doshoan se bhi kabhi dvesh nahian karata. jaise kamal ke pattoan par jal bindu ka lep nahian hota, usi prakar mere svabhav mean rag aur dvesh ka sparsh nahian hai. jinaka svabhav bahut prakar ka hai, un indriy adi ko dekhane vale is nityasvaroop atma ke liye sab bhog anity ho jate haian. at: ve bhogasamuday us vidvan ko usi prakar karmoan mean lipt nahian kar sakate, jaise akash mean soory ki kiranoan ka samuday soory ko lipt nahian kar sakata. yashasvini! is vishay mean adhvaryu yati ke sanvad roop prachin itihas ka udaharan diya jata hai, tum use suno. kisi yajn karm mean pashu ka prokshan hota dekh vahian baithe hue yati ne adhvaryu se usaki ninda karate hue kaha- ‘yah hiansa hai (at: isase pap hoga).’

adhvaryu ne yati ko is prakar uttar diya- ‘yah bakara nasht nahian hoga. yadi ‘pashurvai niyaman:’ ityadi shruti saty hai to yah jivan kalyan ka hi bhagi hoga. isake sharir ka jo parthiv bhag hai, vah prithvi mean vilin ho jayaga. isaka jo kuchh bhi jaliy bhag haian, vah jal mean pravisht ho jayaga. netr soory mean, kan dishaoan mean aur pran akash mean hi lay ko prapt hoga. shastr ki ajna ke anusar bartav karane vale mujh ko koee dosh nahian lagega.’

yati ne kaha- yadi tum bakare ke pranoan ka viyog ho jane par bhi usaka kalyan hi dekhate ho, tab to yah yajn us bakare ke liye hi ho raha hai. tumhara is yajn se kya prayojan hai? shruti kahati hai- ‘pasho! is vishay mean tujhe tere bhaee, pita, mata aur sakha ki anumati prapt honi chahiye.’ is shruti ke anusar visheshat: paradhin hue is pashu ko le jakar isake pita mata adi se anumati lo (anyatha tujhe hiansa ka dosh avashy prapt hoga).
