vidur ji ka sharir ki anith‍yata batate hue dhritarashtr ko shok th‍yagane ke liye kahana


dhritarashtr bole- param buddhiman vidur! tumh‍hara uttam bhashan sunakar mera yah shok door ho gaya, tathapi tumh‍hare in tattvik vachanoan ko maian abhi aur sunana chahata hooan. vidvan purush anisht ke sanyog aur isht ke viyog se hone vale manasik du:kh se kis prakar chhutakara pate haian?

vidur ji ne kaha- maharaj! vidvan purush ko chahiye ki jin-jin sadhanoan mean lagane se man du:kh athava sukh se mukt hota ho, unh‍hi mean ise niyamapoorvak lagakar shanti praph‍t kare. narashreshh‍th! vichar karane par yah sara jagat anith‍y hi jan p data hai. samh‍poorn vishh‍v kele ke saman sarahin hai; isamean sar kuchh bhi nahian hai. jab vidvan-moorkh, dhanavan aur nirdhan sabhi shh‍mashan bhoomi mean jakar nishchinh‍t so jate haian, us samay unake maans-rahit, na diyoan se bandhe hue tatha asthi bahul aangoan ko dekhakar kh‍ya doosare log vahaan unamean koee aisa anh‍tar dekh pate haian, jisase ve unake kul aur roop ki visheshata ko samajh sakean; phir bhi ve manushh‍y ek doosare ko kh‍yoan chahate haian? isaliye ki unaki buddhi thagi gayi hai. pandit log maran dharma praniyoan ke shariroan ko ghar ke tulh‍y batalate haian; kh‍yoanki sare sharir samay par nasht ho jate haian, kiantu usake bhitar jo ek matr sattvash‍varup ath‍ma hai, vah nith‍y hai. jaise manushh‍y naye athava purane vastr ko utarakar doosare nootan vastr ko pahanane ki ruchi rakhata hai, usi prakar dehadhariyoan ke sharir unake dvara samay-samay par th‍yage aur grahan kiye jate haian.

vichitraviry nanh‍dan! yadi du:kh ya sukh praph‍t hone vala hai to prani use apane kiye hue karm ke anusar hi pate haian. bharatananh‍dan! karm ke anusar hi paralok mean sh‍varg ya narak tatha ihalok mean sukh aur du:kh praph‍t hote haian; phir manushh‍y sukh ya du:kh ke us bhar ko sh‍vadhin ya paradhin hokar dhota rahata hai. jaise mitti ka bartan banaye jane ke samay kabhi chak par chadhate hi nasht ho jata hai, kabhi kuchh-kuchh banane par, kabhi poora ban jane par, kabhi soot se kat dene par, kabhi chak se utarate samay, kabhi utar jane par, kabhi gili ya sookhi avash‍tha mean, kabhi pakaye jate samay, kabhi avaan se utarate samay, kabhi pak sh‍than se uthakar le jate samay athava kabhi use upayog mean late samay phoot jata hai; aisi hi dasha deh-dhariyoan ke shariroan ki bhi hoti hai. koee garbh mean rahate samay, koee paida ho jane par, koee kee dinoan ka hone par, koee pandrah din ka, koee ek mas ka tatha koee ek ya do sal ka hone par, koee yuvavash‍tha mean, koee madhh‍yavash‍tha mean athava koee vriddhavash‍tha mean pahuanchane par mrityu ko praph‍t ho jata hai. prani poorv janh‍m ke karmoan ke anusar hi is jagat mean rahate aur nahian rahate haian. jab lok ki aisi hi sh‍vabhavik sthiti hai, tab ap kisaliye shok kar rahe haian ? rajan! nareshvar! jaise kri da ke liye pani mean tairata hua koee prani kabhi doobata hai aur kabhi oopar a jata hai, isi prakar is agadh sansar samudr mean jivoan ka doobana aur utarana (marana aur janh‍m lena) laga rahata hai, manh‍d buddhi manushh‍y hi yahaan karmabhog se bandhate aur kasht pate haian. jo buddhiman manav is sansar mean sattvagun se yukt, sabaka hit chahane vale aur praniyoan ke samagam ko karmanusar samajhane vale haian, ve param gati ko praph‍t hote haian.
