mahabharat: udyog parv: ekonachathvariansh adhyay: shlok 1-15 ka hindi anuvad
dhritarashhtr ke prati vidur ji ka nitiyukht upadesh
- dhritarashhtr ne kaha- vidur! yah purush aishvary ki prapti aur nash mean shvatantr nahian hai. brahma ne dhage se bandhi huee kathaputali ki bhaanti ise prarabhdh ke adhin kar rakha hai; isaliye tum kahate chalo, maian sunane ke liye dhairy dharan kiye baitha hooan. (1)
- vidur ji bole- bharat! samay ke viparit yadi brihaspati bhi kuchh bolean to unaka apaman hi hoga aur unaki buddhi ki bhi avajna hi hogi. (2)
- sansar mean koee manushhy dan dene se priy hota hai, doosara priy vachan bolane se priy hota hai aur tisara mantr tatha aushadh ke bal se priy hota hai; kiantu jo vashtav mean priy hai, vah to sada priy hi hai. (3)
- jisase dvesh ho jata hai, vah n sadhu, n vidvan aur n buddhiman hi jan p data hai. priy vhyakti [1] ke to sabhi karm shubh hi pratit hote haian aur shatru ke sabhi kary papamay. (4)
- rajan! duryodhan ke janhm lete hi maianne kaha tha ki keval isi ek putr ko ap thyag dean. isake thyag se sau putroan ki vriddhi hogi aur isaka thyag n karane se sau putroan ka nash hoga. (5)
- jo vriddhi bhavishhy mean nash ka karan bane, use adhik mahaththv nahian dena chahiye aur us kshay ka bhi bahut adar karana chahiye, jo age chalakar abhhyuday ka karan ho. (6)
- maharaj! vashtav mean jo kshay vriddhi ka karan hota hai, vah kshay nahian hai; kiantu us labh ko bhi kshay hi manana chahiye, jise pane se bahut se labhoan ka nash ho jay. (7)
- dhritarashhtr! kuchh log gun se samriddh hote haian aur kuchh log dhan se. jo dhan ke dhani hote hue bhi gunoan se hin haian, unhhean sarvatha thyag dijiye. (8)
- dhritarashhtr ne kaha- vidur! tum jo kuchh kah rahe ho, parinam mean hitakar hai; buddhiman log isaka anumodan karate haian. yah bhi thik hai ki jis or dharm hota hai, usi paksh ki jit hoti hai, to bhi maian apane bete ka thyag nahian kar sakata. (9)
- vidur ji bole- rajan! jo adhik gunoan se samhpanhn aur vinayi hai, vah praniyoan ka tanik bhi sanhar hote dekh usaki kabhi upeksha nahian kar sakata. (10)
- jo doosaroan ki nianda mean hi lage rahate haian, doosaroan ko du:kh dene aur apas mean phoot dalane ke liye sada uthsah ke sath prayathn karate haian, jinaka darshan dosh se bhara[2] hai aur jinake sath rahane mean bhi bahut b da khatara hai, aise logoan se dhan lene mean mahan dosh hai aur unhhean dene mean bahut b da bhay hai. (11-12)
- doosaroan mean phoot dalane ka jinaka shvabhav hai, jo kami,nirlajhj, shath aur prasiddh papi haian, ve sath rakhane ke karan ayoghy-niandit mane gaye haian. (13)
- uparyukht doshoan ke atirikht aur bhi jo mahan dosh haian, unase yukht manushhyoan ka thyag kar dena chahiye. sauhard bhav nivritht ho jane par nich purushoan ka prem nashht ho jata hai, us sauhard se hone vale phal ki siddhi aur sukh ka bhi nash ho jata hai. (14)
- phir vah nich purush nianda karane ke liye yathn karata hai, tho da bhi aparadh ho jane par mohavash vinash ke liye udyog aramhbh kar deta hai. use tanik bhi shaanti nahian milati. (15)
