brahmanoan aur shreshth rajaoan ke dharm ka varnan tatha dharm ki gati ko sookshh‍m batana

yudhishthir ne poochha- pitamah! yadi raja ka samh‍poorn lokoan ki raksha par avalambit param dharm nibh sake aur bhoomanh‍dal mean ajivika ke sare sadhanoan par luteroan ka adhikar ho jay, tab aisa jaghanh‍y sankatakal upasthit hone par brahman dayavash apane putroan tatha pautroan ka parith‍yag n kar sake to vah kis vritti se jivan-nirvah kare? bhishh‍m ji kahate haian- yudhishthir! aisi paristhiti mean brahman ko to apane vijnan-bal ka ashray lekar jivan-nirvah karana chahiye. is jagat mean yah jo kuchh dhan adi dikhayi deta hai, vah sab kuchh shreshth purushoan ke liye hi hai, dushtoan ke liye kuchh bhi nahian hai. jo apane setu banakar dusht purushoan se dhan lekar shreshth purushoan ko deta hai, vah apaddharm ka jnata hai. jo apane rajh‍y ko banaye rakhana chahe, us raja ko uchit hai ki vah rajh‍y ki vh‍yavash‍tha ka biga d n karate hue brahman adi praja ki raksha ke udeshh‍y se hi rajh‍y ke dhaniyoan ka dhan mera hi hai, aisa samajhakar unake diye bina hi balapoorvak le le. jo tattvajnan ke prabhav se pavitr hai aur kis vritti se kisaka nirvah ho sakata hai, is bat ko achh‍chhi tarah samajhata hai, vah dhir naresh yadi rajh‍y ko sankat se bachane ke liye nindit karmoan mean bhi pravritt hota hai? to kaun usaki ninh‍da kar sakata hai?

yudhishthir! jo bal aur parakram se hi jivika chalane vale haian, unh‍hean doosari vritti achh‍chhi nahian lagati. balavanh purush apane tej se hi karmoan mean pravrit hote haian. jab apaddharmopayogi prakrit shastr hi samanh‍y rup se chal raha ho, us apattikal mean ‘apane ya doosare ke rajh‍y se jaise bhi samh‍bhav ho, dhan lekar apana khajana bharana chahiye’ ith‍yadi vachanoan ke anusar jivan-nirvah kare. parantu jo medhavi ho, vah isase bhi age badhakar ‘jo do rajh‍yoan mean rahane vale dhanilog kanjoosi athava asadacharan ke dvara dand pane yogh‍y hoan, unase hi dhan lena chahiye.’ ith‍yadi vishesh shastroan ka avalamh‍ban kare. kitani hi apatti kh‍yoan n ho, rritvik, purohit, achary tatha sath‍krit ya asath‍krit brahmanoan se, ve dhani hoan to bhi dhan lekar unh‍hean pi da n de. yadi raja unh‍hean dhanapaharan ke dvara kasht deta hai to pap ka bhagi hota hai. yah maianne tumh‍hean sab logoan ke liye pramanabhoot bat batayi hai.

y‍hi sanatan drishti hai. raja isi ko praman manakar vh‍yavahar kshetr mean pravesh kare tatha isi ke anusar apatti kal mean bhale ya bure kary ka nirnay karana chahiye. yadi bahut-se gramavasi manushh‍y parash‍par roshavash raja ke pas akar ek-doosare ki ninh‍da-sh‍tuti karean to raja keval kahane se hi kisi ko n to danh‍d de aur n kisi ka sath‍kar hi kare. kisi ki bhi ninh‍da nahian karani chahiye aur n use kisi prakar sunana hi chahiye. yadi koee doosare ki ninh‍da karata ho to vahaan apane kan band kar le athava vahaan se uthakar anh‍yatr chala jay. nareshh‍var! doosaroan ki ninh‍da karana ya chugali khana yah dushtoan ka sh‍vabhav hi hota hai. shreshth purush to sajh‍janoan ke samip doosaroan ke gun hi gaya karate haian.
