ayu ki vriddhi aur kshay karane vale shubhashubh karmoan ke varnan se grihash‍thashram ke kartavh‍yoan ka vish‍tarapoorvak niroopan

yudhishthir ne kaha- pitamah! shash‍troan mean kaha gaya hai ki manushh‍y ki ayu sau varshoan ki hoti hai. vah saik doan prakar ki shakti lekar janh‍m dharan karata hai. kiantu dekhata hooan ki kitane hi manushh‍y bachapan mean hi mar jate haian. aisa kh‍yoan hota hai? manushh‍y kis upay se dirgh ayu hota hai athava kis karan se usaki ayu kam ho jati hai? kh‍ya karane se vah kirti pata hai aur kh‍ya karane se use sanpatti ki prapti hoti hai? pitamah! manushh‍y, man, vani athava sharir ke dvara tap, brahmachary, jap, hom tatha oshadh adi mean se kisaka ashray le, jisase vah shrey ka bhagi ho, vah mujhe bataiye.

bhishh‍mi ji ne kaha- yudhishthir! tum mujhase jo poochh rahe ho, isaka uth‍tar deta hooan. manushy jis karan se alh‍payu hota hai, jis upay se dirgh ayu hota hai, jisase vah kirti aur sanpatti ka bhagi hota hai tatha jis bartav se purush ko shrey ka sanyog praph‍t hota hai, vah sab batata hooan, suno.

sadachar se hi manushh‍y ko ayu ki prapti hoti hai, sadachar se hi vah sanpatti pata hai tatha sadachar se hi use ihalok aur paralok mean bhi kirti ki prapti hotihai. durachari purush, jisase samash‍t prani darate aur tirash‍krit hote haian, is sansar mean b di ayu nahian pata. at: yadi manushh‍y apana kalh‍yan chahata ho to use is jagat mean sadachar ka palan karana chahiye. jisaka sara sharir hi papamay hai, vah bhi yadi sadachar ka palan kare to vah usake sharir aur man ke bure lakshanoan ko daba deta hai.

sadachar hi dharm ka lakshan hai. sachh‍charitrata hi shreshh‍th purushoan ki pahachan hai. shreshh‍th purush jaisa bartav karate haian; vahi sadachar ka sh‍varoop athava lakshan hai. jo manushh‍y dharm ka acharan karata hai aur lok kalh‍yan ke kary mean laga rahata hai, usaka darshan n hua ho to bhi manushh‍y keval nam sunakar usase prem karane lagate haian. jo nastik, kriyahin, guru aur shash‍tr ki ajna ka ulh‍langhan karane vale, dharm ko n janane vale aur durachari haian, un manushh‍yoan ki ayu kshin ho jati hai. jo manushh‍y shilahin, sada dharm ki maryada bhang karane vale tatha doosare varn ki striyoan ke sath samh‍park rakhane vale haian; ve is lok mean alh‍payu hote aur marane ke bad narak mean p date haian.

sab prakar ke shubh lakshanoan se hin hone par bhi jo manushh‍y sadachari, shraddhalu aur doshadrishti se rahit hota hai, vah sau varshoan tak jivit rahata hai. jo krodhahin, sath‍yavadi kisi bhi prani ki hiansa n karane vala, adoshadarshi aur kapatashoonh‍y hai, vah sau varshoan tak jivit rahata hai. jo dhele pho data hai, tinake to data, nakh chabata tatha sada hi uchchhishh‍t (ashuddh) evan chanchal rahata hai, aise kulakshanayukh‍t manushh‍y ko dirghayu nahian praph‍t hoti. pratidin brahm muhoort mean (arthat sooryoday se do gh di pahale) jage tatha dharm aur arth vishay mean vichar kare. phi‍r shaiyya se uthakar shauch-sh‍nan ke pashh‍chat achaman karake hath jo de hue prat:kal ki sandhh‍ya kare.
