dharmadharm ke sh‍varoop ka nirnay

yudhishthir ne poochha- pitamah! ye sabhi manushh‍y pray: dharm ke vishay mean sanshayashil haian; at: maian janana chahata hooan ki dharm kh‍ya hai? aur usaki uth‍patti kahaan se huee hai? yah mujhe bataiye. pitamah! is lok mean sukh pane ke liye jo karm kiya jata hai, vahi dharm hai ya paralok mean kalh‍yan ke liye jo kuchh kiya jata hai, use dharm kahate haian? athava lok-paralok donoan ke sudhar ke liye kuchh kiya jane vala karm hi dharm kahalata hai? yah mujhe bataiye.

bhishh‍m ji kahate haian- yudhishthir! ved, sh‍mriti aur sadachar- ye tin dharm ke sh‍varoop ko lakshit karane vale haian. kuchh vidvanh arth ko bhi dharm ka chautha lakshan batate haian. shastroan mean jo dharmanukool kary bataye gaye haian, unh‍hean hi pradhan evan anupradhan sabhi log nishchit roop se dharm manate haian. lokayatra nirvah karane ke liye hi maharshiyoan ne yahaan dharm ki maryada sh‍thapit ki haian. dharm ka palan karane se age chalakar is lok aur paralok mean bhi sukh milata hai. papi manushh‍y vicharapoorvak dharm ka ashray n lene se pap mean pravritt ho usake du:kharoop phal ka bhagi hota hai. papachari manushh‍y apattikal mean kasht bhogakar bhi us pap se mukh‍t nahian hote aur dharm ka acharan karane vale log apattikal mean bhi pap ka samarthan nahian karate haian. achar (shauchachar-sadachar) hi dharm ka adhar hai;

at: yudhishthir! tum us achar ka ashray lekar hi dharm ke yatharth sh‍varoop ko jan sakoge. jaise chor dharmakary mean pravritt hokar bhi doosaroan ke dhan ka apaharan kar hi leta hai aur arajak-avash‍tha mean paraye dhan ka apaharan karane vala lutera sukh ka anubhav karata hai. parantu jab doosare log us chor ka bhi dhan har lete haian, tab vah chor bhi praja ki raksha karane aur choroan ko danh‍d dene vale raja ko chahata haian-usaki avashh‍yakata ka anubhav karata hai. us avash‍tha mean vah un purushoan ke saman banane ki ichh‍chha karata hai, jo apane hi dhan se santusht rahate haian- doosaroan ke dhan par hath lagana pap samajhate haian. jo pavitr hai- jisamean chori adi ke dosh nahian haian, vah manushh‍y nirbhay aur ni:shank hokar raja ke dvar par chala jata hai; kh‍yoanki vah apani anh‍tarath‍ma mean koee durachar nahian dekhata hai.

sath‍y bolana shubh karm hai. sath‍y se badhakar doosara koee kary nahian hai. sath‍y ne hi sabako dharan kar rakha hai aur sath‍y mean hi sab kuchh pratishthit hai. kroor sh‍vabhav vale papi bhi prithakh-prithakh sath‍y ki shapath khakar hi apas mean droh ya vivad se bache rahate haian. itana hi nahian, ve sath‍y ka ashray lekar sath‍y ki hi duhaee dekar apane-apane karmoan mean pravritt hote haian. ve yadi apas ki shapath ko bhang kar dean to nish‍sandeh parash‍par l d-bhi dakar nasht ho jayan. doosaroan ke dhan ka apaharan nahian karana chahiye-yahi sanatan dharm hai. kuchh balavanh log (bal ke ghamand mean nastik bhav ka ashray lekar) dharm ko durbaloan ka chalaya hua manate haian; kiantu jab bhagh‍yavash ve bhi durbal ho jate haian, tab apani raksha ke liye unh‍hean bhi dharm ka hi sahara lena achh‍chha jan p data hai.
