kapila gauoan ki uth‍patti aur mahima ka varnan

vaishampayan ji kahate haian- janamejay! tadantar raja yudhishthir ne punah shantanunandan bhishm se godan ki vistrit vidhi tatha tatsambandhi dharmoan ke vishay mean vinayaparvook jijnasa ki.

yudhishthir bale- bharat! ap godan ke uttam gunoan ka bhalibhaanti punah mujhase varnan kijiye. vir aisa amritamay upadesh sunakar maian tript nahian ho raha hooan.

vaishampayan ji kahate haian- rajan! dharmaraj yudhishthir ke aisa kahane par us samay shantanunandan bhishm keval godan-sambandhi gunoan ka bhalibhaanti (vidhivat) varnan karane lage.

bhishm ji ne kaha- beta! vatsaly bhav se yukt, gunavati aur javan gay ko vastr udhakar usaka dan karean. brahman ko aisi gay ka dan karake manushy sab papoan se mukt ho jata hai. asury nam ke jo andhakaramay lok (narak) haian, unamean godan karane vale purush ko nahian jana p data, jisaka ghas khana aur pani pina prayah samapt ho chuka ho, jisaka doodh nasht ho gaya hai, jisaki indriyaan kam n de sakati hoan, jo budhapa aur rog se akrant hone ke karan sharir se jirn-shirn ho bina pani ki bav di saman vyarth ho gayi ho, aisi gau ka dan karake manushy brahman ko vyarth kasht mean dalata hai aur svayan bhi ghor narak mean p data hai. jo krodh karane vali dushta, rogini aur dubali-patali ho tatha jisaka dam n chukaya gaya ho, aisi gau ka dan karana kadapi uchit nahian hai. jo is tarah ki gay dekar brahman ko vyarth kasht mean dalata hai, use nirval aur nishphal lok hi prapt hote haian. husht-pusht, sulakshana, javan tatha uttam gandh vali gay ki sabhi log prashansa karate haian. jaise nadiyoan mean ganga shreshth hai, vaise hi gauoan mean kapila gau uttam mani gayi hai.

yudhishthir ne poochha- pitamah! kisi bhi rang ki gay ka dan kiya jaye, godan to ek-sa hi hoga? phir satpurushoan ne kapila gau ki hi adhik prashansa kyoan ki hai? maian kapila ke mahan prabhav ko vishesh roop se sunana chahata hooan. maian sunane mean samarth hooan aur ap kahane mean.

bhishm ji ne kaha- beta! maianne b de-boodhoan ke muanh se rohini (kapila) ki utpatti ka jo prachin vrittant suna hai, vah sab tumhean bata raha hooan. srishti ke praranbh mean svayambhoo brahma ji ne prajapati daksh ko yah ajna di 'tum praja ki srishti karo', kiantu prajapati daksh ne praja ke hit ki ichchha se sarvapratham unaki ajivika ka hi nirman kiya. prabhu! jaise devata amrit ka ashray lekar jivan-nirvah karate haian, usi prakar samast praja ajivika ke sahare jivan dharan karati hai. sthavar praniyoan se jangam prani sada shreshth haian. unamean bhi manushy aur manushyoan mean bhi brahman shreshth hai; kyoanki unhian mean yajn pratishthit hai. yajn se som ki prapti hoti hai aur vah yajn gauoan mean pratishthit hai, jisase devata anandit hote haian. atah pahale ajivika hai phir praja.

samast prani utpann hote hi jivika ke liye kolahal karane lage. jaise bhookhe-pyase balak apane maan-bap ke pas jate haian, usi prakar samast jiv jivikadata daksh ke pas gaye. prajajanoan ki is sthiti par man-hi-man vichar karake bhagavan prajapati ne prajavarg ki ajivika ke liye us samay amrit ka pan kiya. amrit pikar jab ve poorn tript ho gaye, tab unake mukh se surabhi (manohar) gandh nikalane lagi. surabhi gandh ke nikalane ke sath hi ‘surabhi’ namak gau prakat ho gayi, jise prajapati ne apane mukh se prakat huee putri ke roop mean dekha. us surabhi ne bahut-si ‘saurabheyi' nam vali gauoan ko utpann kiya, jo sampoorn jagat ke liye mata saman thian. un sab ka rang suvarn ke saman uddipt ho raha tha. ve kapila gauean prajajanoan ke liye ajivikaroop doodh dene vali thian.
