tuladhar ne kaha– brahman! maianne dharm ke jis marg ka darshan karaya hai, us par sajh‍jan purush chalate haian ya durjan? is bat ko achh‍chhi tarah jaanchakar prath‍yaksh kar lo. tab tumh‍hean isaki yatharthata ka jnan hoga. dekho! akash mean ye jo bahut-se shh‍yen evan doosari jatiyoan ke pakshi charoan or vicharan kar rahe haian, inamean tumh‍hare sirapar uth‍panh‍n hue pakshi bhi haian. brahmanh! ye yatr-tatr ghoansaloan mean ghus rahe haian. dekhoan, in sabake hath-pair siku dakar shariroan se sat gaye haian. in sabako bulakar poochho. ye pakshi tumh‍hare dvara palit aur samadrit hue haian. at: tumh‍hara pita ke saman samh‍man karate haian. jajale! isamean sandeh nahian ki tum inake pita hi ho; at: in putroan ko bulakar prashh‍n karo.

bhishh‍m ji kahate haian– rajan! tadananh‍tar jajali ne un pakshiyoan ko bulaya. unaka dharmayukh‍t vachan sunakar ve pakshi vahaan aye aur unase manushh‍y ke saman sh‍pashh‍t vani mean bolane lage- ‘ahiansa aur daya adi bhavoan se prerit hokar kiya hua karm ihalok aur paralok mean bhi uttam phal dene vala hai.

‘brahmanh! yadi man mean hiansa ki bhavana ho to vah shraddha ka nash kar deti hai. phir nashh‍t huee shraddha karm karane vale is hiansak manushh‍y ka hi sarvanash kar dalati hai. ‘jo hani aur labh mean saman bhav rakhane vale, shraddhalu, sanyami aur shuddh chittavale purush haian tatha yajn ko kartavh‍y samajhakar karate haian, unaka yajn kabhi asaphal nahian hota. ‘brahmanh! shraddha soory ki putri hai, isaliye use vaivash‍vati, savitri aur prasavitri (vishuddh janh‍madayini) bhi kahate haian. vani aur man bhi shraddha ki apeksha bahirang hai. ‘bharatananh‍dan! yadi vani ke dosh se manh‍tr ke uchh‍charan mean truti rah jay aur man ki chanchalata ke karan ishh‍t devata ka dhh‍yan adi karm samh‍panh‍n n ho sake to bhi yadi shraddha ho to vah vani aur man ke dosh ko door karake us karm ki raksha kar sakati hai. parantu yadi shraddha n hone ke karan karm mean truti rah jay to vani aur man (manh‍trochh‍charan aur dhh‍yan) us karm ki raksha nahian kar sakate.

is vishay mean prachin vrittanh‍toan ko janane vale log brahma ji ki gayi huee gatha ka varnan kiya karate haian, jo is prakar hai- pahale devata log shraddhahin pavitr aur pavitratarahit shraddhalu ke dravh‍y ko yajn karm ke liye ek-sa hi samajhate the. isi prakar ve kripan vedavetta aur mahadani soodakhor ke anh‍n mean bhi koee anh‍tar nahian manate the. devataoan ne khoob soch-vicharakar donoan prakar ke anh‍noan ko saman nishchit kiya tha. ‘kiantu ek bar yajn mean prajapati ne unake is bartav ko dekhakar kaha- ‘devataoan! tumane yah anuchit kiya hai. vash‍tav mean udar ka anh‍n usaki shraddha ke karan pavitr hota hai aur kanjoos ka ashraddha ke karan apavitr evan nashh‍tapray samajha jata hai[1]
