sattvik, rajas aur tamas prakriti ke manushhyoan ki gatika varnan tatha raja janak ke prashhn yajnavalkyaji kahate haian—purushapravar! sattv, raj aur tam— ye tin prakriti ke gun haian jo samhpoorn jagath mean sada sada vidyaman rahate haian. kabhi usase alag nahian hote haian. yah aishhvaryashalini prakriti apane hi prabhav se jiv ko saik doan, hajaroan, lakhoan aur karo doan roopoan mean prakat kar deti hai. adhhyathm- shashtr ka chinhtan karane vale vidvanh kahate haian ki sattvik purush ko uthtam, rajoguni ko madhhyam aur tamoguni ko adham shthan ki prapti hoti hai. keval punhy karane se manushhy oordhhvalok mean gaman karata hai, punhy aur pap donoan ke anushhthan se marthyalok mean janhm leta hai tatha keval papachar karane par use adhogati mean girana p data hai. ab maian sattv, raj aur tam—in tinoan gunoan ke dvanhdv[1] aur sannipat[2]ka yathartharoop se varnan karata hooan, suno. sattvagun ke sath rajogun, rajogun ke sath tamogun, tamogun ke sath sattvagun tatha sattvagun ke sath avhyakht (jivathma)- ka sammishran dekha jata hai (yah do tathvoan ka sanyog ya mel hi dvanhdv hai). jivathma jab sattvagun se sanyukht hota hai, tab devalok ko prapht hota hai. rajogun aur sattvagun se sanyukht hone par vah manushhy-lok mean jata hai tatha rajogun aur tamogun se sanyukht hone par vah pashu-pakshi adi ki yoniyoan mean janhm grahan rakata hai. rajas, tamas aur sattvik tinoan bhavoan se yukht hone par jiv ko manushhyayoni ki prapti hoti hai. jo punhy aur pap donoan se rahit haian, un mahathma purushoan ke liye sanatan, avikari, akshay aur amritapad ki prapti batayi gayi hai. jahaan kisi prakar ka kashht nahian hai, jahaan se kabhi patan nahian hota hai, jo indriyayit hai, jahaan banhdhan mean dalane vala koee karan nahian hai tatha jo janhm, mrithyu aur ajnan ka vinash karane vala hai, vah shreshhth shthan (paramapad) jnaniyoan ko hi prapht ho sakata hai. nareshhvar! tumane jo avhyakht prakriti mean sthit paramatathv ke vishay mean mujhase prashhn kiya tha, usake uthtar mean yah nivedan hai ki yah paramatathv prakrit sharir mean sthit hone se hi prakritishth kahalata hai. prithhvinath! prakriti achetan mani gayi hai. is paramatathv dvara adhishthit hokar hi vah srishti evan sanhar karati hai. janakane poochha—mahamate! prakriti aur purush donoan adi-anht se rahit, moortihin aur achal haian. dono apane-apane gun mean sthir rahane vale aur donoan hi nirgun haian. munishreshhth! ve donoan hi buddhi-agochar haian. phir in donoan mean se ek prakriti ko apane achetan khyoan bataya hai ? tatha doosare ko chetan evan kshetrajn kaise kaha hai ? vipravar! ap poorn roop se mokshadharm ka sevan karate haian, isaliye apahi ke muanh se maian samhpoorn moksh-dharm ka yathavath roop se shravan karana chahata haiooan. ap purush ke astithv, kevalathv aur prakriti se prithakh sattaka shpashhtikaran kijiye aur deh ka ashray grahan karane vala jo devata haian, unaka tattv bhi mujhe samajhaiye. tatha marane vale jiv ke pranoan ka jab uthkraman hota hai, us samay use samayanusar kis shthan ki prapti hoti hai ? is par prakash daliye. sadhu shiromane! sath hi prithakh–prithakh saankhhy aur yog ke jnan ka tatha mrithyusoochak lakshanoan ka yathartharoop se varnan kijiye; khyoanki ye sari batean apako hath par rakhe hue aanvale ke saman jnat haian.
