vaishampayan ji kahate haian- janamejay! shvargalok mean jakar maharaj yayati devabhavan mean nivas karane lage. vahaan devataoan, sadhhyaganoan, marudganoan tatha vasuoan ne unaka b da shvagat-sathkar kiya. suna jata hai ki punhyathma tatha jitendriy raja yayati devalok aur brahmalok mean bhraman karate hue vahaan dirghakal tak rahe. ek din nripashreshth yayati devaraj inhdr ke pas aye. donoan mean vartalap hua aur anht mean inhdr ne raja yayati se poochha. inhdr ne poochha- 'rajanh! jab puru tumase vriddhavashtha lekar tumhhare shvarup se is prithhvi par vicharan karane laga, tum sathy kaho, us samay rajhy dekar tumane usako khya adesh diya tha?' yayati ne kaha- (devaraj! maianne apane putr puru se kaha tha ki) beta! ganga aur yamuna ke bich ka yah sara pradesh tumhhare adhikar mean rahega. yah prithhvi ka madhhy bhag hai, isake tum raja hooge aur tumhhare bhaee simanht deshoan ke adhipati hoange. devenhdr!
