kanh‍ya ke vivah ka t‍tha kanh‍ya aur dohitr adi ke uttaradhikar ka vichar

yudhishthir ne poochha- pitamah! jis kanh‍ya ka moolh‍y le liya gaya ho, usaka bh‍yah karane ke liye yadi koee upasthit n ho, arthat moolh‍y dene vala paradesh chala gaya ho aur usake bhay se doosara purush bhi us kanya se vivah karane ko taiyar n ho to usake pita ko kh‍ya karana chahiye? yah mujhe bataiye?

bhishh‍m ji ne kaha- yudhishthir! yadi santanahin dhani se kanh‍ya ka moolh‍y liya gaya ho to pita ka kartavh‍y hai ki vah usake lautane tak kanh‍ya ki har tarah se raksha kare. kharidi huee kanh‍ya ka moolh‍y jab tak lauta nahian diya jata, tab tak vah kanh‍ya moolh‍y dene vale ki hi mani jati hai. jis nh‍yayochit upay se samh‍bhav ho, usi ke dvara vah kanh‍ya apane mrith‍yudata pati ke liye hi santan uth‍panh‍n karane ki ichh‍chha kare. at: doosara koee purush vaidik manh‍trayukh‍t vidhi se usaka panigrahan ya aur koee kary nahian kar sakata.

savitri ne pita ki ajna lekar sh‍vany chune hue pati ke sath samh‍banh‍dh sh‍thapit kiya tha, usake is kary ki doosare dharmajn purush prashansa karate haian; parantu kuchh log nahian bhi karate haian. kuchh logoan ka kahana hai ki doosare sath‍purushoan ne aisa nahian kiya hai aur kuchh kahate haian ki anh‍y sath‍purushoan ne bhi kabhi-kabhi aisa kiya hai, at: shreshh‍th purushoan ka achar hi dharm ka sarvashreshh‍th lakshan hai. isi prasang mean videharaj mahath‍ma janak ke nati sukratu ne aisa kaha hai. durachariyoan ke marg ka shash‍troan dvara kaise anumodan kiya ja sakata hai? is vishay mean sath‍purushoan ke samaksh prashh‍n, sanshay athava upalamh‍bh kaise upasthit kiya ja sakata hai? striyaan sada pita ya putroan ke sanrakshan mean hi rahati haian, sh‍vatantr nahian hotian. yah puratan dharm hai. is dharm ka khandan karana asat karm ya asur dharm hai. poorvakal ke b de-boodhoan mean vivah ke avasaroan par kabhi is asuri padvati ka apanaya jana hamane nahian suna hai. pati aur path‍ni ka athava sh‍tri aur purush ka samh‍banh‍dh bahut hi ghanishh‍th evan sookshh‍m hai. rati unaka sadharan dharm hai. yah bat bhi raja sukratu ne kahi thi.

yudhishthir ne poochha- pitamah! pita ke liye putri bhi to putr ke saman hoti hai; phir usake rahate hue kis praman se keval purush hi dhan ke adhikari hote haian?

bhishh‍m ji ne kaha- beta! putr apani atma ke saman hai aur kanh‍ya bhi putr ke hi tulh‍y hai, at: ath‍mash‍varoop putr ke rahate hue doosara koee usaka dhan kaise le sakata hai? mata ko dahej mean jo dhan milata hai, us par kanh‍ya ka hi adhikar hai, at: jisake koee putr nahian hai, usake dhan ko pane ka adhikari usaka dohitr (nati) hi hai. vahi us dhan ko le sakata hai. dohitr apane pita aur nana ko bhi pinh‍d deta hai. dharm ki drishti se putr aur dohitr mean koee anh‍tar nahian hai. anh‍yatr arthat yadi pahale kanh‍ya uth‍panh‍n huee aur vah putr roop mean sh‍vikar kar li gayi tatha usake bad putr bhi paida hua to vah putr us kanh‍ya ke sath hi pita ke dhan ka adhikari hota hai. yadi doosare ka putr god liya gaya ho to us dattak putr ki apeksha apani sagi beti hi shreshh‍th mani jati hai (at: vah paitrik dhan ke adhik bhag ki adhikarini hai).
