japayajn ke vishay mean yudhishthir ka prashh‍n, usake uttar mean jap aur dhh‍yan ki mahima aur usaka phal

yudhishthir ne poochha- pitamah! apane char ashramoan t‍tha rajadharmoan ka varnan kiya evan anekanek vishayoan se sanbandh rakhane vale bahut–se bhinh‍n-bhinh‍n itihas bhi sunaye. mahamate! maianne apake mukh se anek dharmayukh‍t kathaean suni hai; phir bhi mere man mean ek sandeh rah gaya hai, use ap mujhe batane ki kripa karean. bharatanandan! ab maian yah sunana chahata hooan ki jap karane vale ko phal ki prapti kaise hoti hai ? japakoan ke jap ka phal kh‍ya bataya gaya hai athava jap karane vale purush kin lokoan mean sh‍than pate haian? anagh! ap mujhe jap ki samh‍poorn vidhi bhi bataiye. ‘japak’ is pad se kh‍ya tath‍pary hai? kh‍ya yah saankhh‍yayog, dhh‍yanayog athava kriyayog ka anushh‍than hai ? athava yah jap bhi koee yajn ki hi vidhi hai? jisaka tap kiya jata hai, vah kh‍ya vash‍tu hai? ap yah sari batean mujhe bataiye; kh‍yoanki ap meri manh‍yata ke anusar sarvajna haian.

bhishh‍maji ne kaha- rajanh! is vishay mean vidvanh purush us prachin itihas ka udaharan diya karate haian, jo poorvakal mean yam, kal aur brahman ke bich mean ghatit hua tha. mokshadarshi muniyoan ne jo saankhh‍y aur yog ka varnan kiya hai, unamean se vedaant (saankhh‍y)- mean to jap ka sannh‍yas (th‍yag) hi bataya gaya hai. upanishadoan ke vakh‍y nirvriti (paramanand), shaanti tatha brahmanishh‍thata ka bodh karane vale haian (at: vahaan jap ki apeksha nahian hai). samadarshi muniyoan ne jo saankhh‍y aur yog bataye haian, ve donoan marg chittashuddhi ke dvara jnanaprapti mean upakarak hone se jap ka ashray lete haian, nahian bhi lete hai. rajanh! yahaan jaisa karan suna jata hai, vaisa age bataya jayaga.

saankhh‍y aur yog– in donoan margoan mean bhi manonigrah aur indriyasanyam avashh‍yak mane gaye haian. sath‍y, agnihotr, ekaantasevan, dhh‍yan, tapash‍ya, dam, kshama, anasooya, mitahar, vishayoan ka sankoch, mitabhashan tatha sham- yah pravartak yajn hai. ab nivartak yajn ka varnan suno; jisake anusar jap karane vale brahmachari sadhak ke sare karm nivritt ho jate haian ( arthath use moksh praph‍t ho jata hai ). in manonigrah adi poorvokh‍t sabhi sadhanoan ka nishh‍kamabhav se anushh‍than karake unh‍hean pravritti ke viparit nivritti marg mean badal dale. nivriti marg tin tarah ka hai- vyakt, avh‍yakh‍t aur anashray, us marg ka ashray lekar sh‍thirachitt ho jay.

nivrittimarg par pahuanchane ki vidhi yah hai- japakarta ko kushasanapar baithana chahiye. use apane hath mean bhi kush rakhana chahiye. shikha mean bhi kush baandh lena chahiye, vah kushoan se ghirakar baithe aur madhh‍yabhag mean bhi kushoan se achh‍chhadit rahe. vishayoan ko door se hi namash‍kar kare aur kabhi unaka apane man mean chiantan n kare. man se samata ki bhavana karake man ka man mean hi lay kare. phir buddhi ke dvara parabrahm paramath‍ma ka dhh‍yan kare tatha sarv–hitakarini vedasanhita ka evan pranav aur gayatri manh‍tr ka jap kare. phir samadhi mean sthit hone par us sanhita evan gayatri manh‍tr adi ke jap ko bhi th‍yag de.
