panh‍davoan ka ashram par lautana aur dhatreyika se draupadiharan ka vrittanh‍t janakar jayadrath ka pichha karana

vaishamh‍payan ji kahate haian- janamejay! tadananh‍tar bhoomanh‍dal ke shreshh‍thatam dhanurdhar paanchoan kunh‍tikumar sab dishaoan mean ghoom-phirakar hiansak pashuoan, varahoan aur jangali bhaisoan ko marakar prithakh-prithakh vicharate hue ek sath ho gaye. us samay hiansak pashuoan aur saanpoan se bhara hua vah mahanh van sahasa chi diyoan ke chith‍kar se gooanj utha tatha vanh‍y pashu bhi bhayabhit hokar artanad karane lage. un sab ki avaj sunakar dharmaraj yudhishthir ne apane bhaiyoan se kaha- ‘bhaiyoan! dekho, ye mrig aur pakshi soory ke dvara prakashit poorv disha ki or dau date hue ath‍yanh‍t kathor shabh‍d bol rahe haian. yah vishal van hamare shatruoan dvara pi dit ho raha hai. ab shighr ashram ki or lauto. hamean bilamh‍b nahian karana chahiye; kh‍yoanki mera man buddhi ki vivekashakti ko achh‍chhadit karake vh‍yathit tatha chinh‍ta se dagh‍dh ho raha hai tatha mere shashir mean yah pranoan ka sh‍vami (jiv) bhayabhit hua chhatapata raha hai. jaise garu d ke dvara sarovar mean rahane vale mahasarp ke pak d liye jane par vah mathit-sa ho uthata hai, jaise bina raja ka rajh‍y shrihin ho jata hai, tatha jis prakar ras se bhara hua gh da dyoortoan dvara (chupake se) pi liye jane par sahasa khali dikhayi deta hai; usi prakar shatruoan dvara kamh‍yakavan ki bhi duravash‍tha ki gayi hai, aisa mujhe jan p data hai’.

tath‍pashh‍chath ve naravir panh‍dav hava se bhi adhik tej chalane vale sindhudesh ke mahanh vegashali ashh‍voan se jute hue sunh‍dar evan vishal rathoan par baithakar ashram ki or chale. us samay ek gid d b de jor se rota hua lautate hue panh‍davoan ke vamabhag se hokar nikal gaya. is apashakun par vichar karake raja yudhishthir ne bhimasen aur arjun se kaha- ‘yah nich yoni ka gid d, jo ham logoan ke vamabhag se hokar nikala hai, jaisa shabh‍d kar raha hai, usase sh‍pashh‍t jan p data hai ki papi kauravoan ne yahaan akar hamari avahelana karate hue hathapoorvak bhari sanhar macha rakh‍kha hai’. is prakar us vishal van mean shikar khelakar laute hue panh‍dav jab ashram ke samipavarti van mean pravesh karane lage, tab unh‍hoanne dekha ki unaki priya draupadi ki dasi dhatreyika, jo unh‍hian ke ek sevak ki sh‍tri thi, ro rahi hai.

raja janamejay! use roti dekh sarathi inh‍drasen turant rath se kood p da aur vahaan se dau dakar dhatreyika ke ath‍yanh‍t nikat jakar us samay is prakar bola- ‘too is prakar dharati par p di kh‍yoan ro rahi hai? tera muanh din hokar kh‍yoan sookh raha hai? kahian ath‍yanh‍t nishh‍thur karm karane vale papi kauravoan ne yahaan akar rajakumari draupadi ka tirash‍kar to nahian kiya?‘ dharmaraj yudhishthir maharani ke liye jis prakar santaph‍t ho rahe haian, use dekhate hue yah nishh‍chay hai ki samash‍t kunh‍tikumar unaki khoj mean abhi jayeange. unaka roop achinh‍th‍y hai. ve sunh‍dar evan vishal netroan se sushobhit hoti haian tatha kurupravar panh‍davoan ko apane sharir ke saman ph‍yari haian. ve draupadi devi yadi prithh‍vi ke bhitar pravishh‍t huee hoan, sh‍vargalok mean gayi hoan athava samudr mean sama gayi hoan, panh‍dav unh‍hean avashh‍y dhooandh nikaleange. jo shatruoan ka manamardan karane vale aur kisi se bhi parajit nahian hone vale haian, jo sab prakar ke kh‍lesh sahan karane mean samarth haian, aise panh‍davoan ki sarvoth‍tam rath‍n ke saman sh‍prihaniy tatha pranoan ke saman priyatama draupadi ka kaun moorkh apaharan karana chahega?'
