yudhishthir ne kaha- "samhpoorn shashtroan ke visheshajn mahaprajn pitamah! daiv aur purusharth mean kaun shreshhth hai?" bhishhm ji ne kaha- "yudhishthir! is vishay mean vasishth aur brahma ji ke sanvadaroop ek prachin itihas ka udaharan diya jata hai. prachin kal ki bat hai, bhagavan vasishhth ne lokapitamah brahma ji se poochha- 'prabho! daiv aur purusharth mean kaun shreshhth hai?' rajan! tab kamalajanhma devadhidev pitamah ne madhur shvar mean yuktiyukht sarthak vachan kaha. brahma ji ne kaha- "mune! bij se aankur ki uthpati hoti hai, aankur se pathte hote haian. pathtoan se nal, nal se tane aur daliyaan hoti haian. unase pushhp prakat hota hai. phool se phal lagata hai aur phal se bij uthpanhn hota hai aur bij kabhi nishhphal nahian bataya gaya hai. bij ke bina kuchh bhi paida nahian hota, bij ke bina phal bhi nahian lagata. bij se bij prakat hota hai, aur bij se hi phal ki uthpati mani jati hai. kisan khet mean jakar jaisa bij bota hai, usi ke anusar usako phal milata hai. isi prakar punhy ya pap, jaisa karm kiya jata hai vaisa hi phal milata hai. jaise bij khet mean boye bina phal nahian de sakata, usi prakar daiv (prarabhdh) bhi purusharth ke bina nahian siddh hota. purusharth khet hai aur daiv ko bij bataya gaya hai. khet aur bij ke sanyog se hi anaj paida hota hai. karm karane vala manushhy apane bhale ya bure karm ka phal shvayan hi bhogata hai. yah bat sansar mean prathyaksh dikhayi deti hai. shubh karm karane se sukh aur pap karm karane se du:kh milata hai. apana kiya hua karm sarvatr hi phal deta hai. bina kiye hue karm ka phal kahian nahian bhoga jata. purusharthi manushhy sarvatr bhaghy ke anusar pratishhtha pata hai; parantu jo akarmanhy hai, vah samhman se bhrashht hokar ghav par namak chhi dakane ke saman asahy du:kh bhogata hai. manushhy ko tapashya se roop, saubhaghy aur nana prakar ke rathn prapht hote haian. is prakar karm se sab kuchh mil sakata hai, parantu bhaghy ke bharose nikamhme baithe rahane vale ko kuchh nahian milata. is jagat mean purusharth karane se shvarg, bhog, dharm mean nishhtha aur buddhimathta- in sab ki upalabdhi hoti hai. nakshhatr, devata, nag, yaksh, chandrama, soory aur vayu adi sabhi purusharth karake hi manushhy lok se devalok ko gaye haian. jo purusharth nahian karate, ve dhan, mitravarg, aishhvary, uthtam kul tatha durlabh lakshmi ka bhi upabhog nahian kar sakate. brahman shauchachar se, kshatriy parakram se vaishhy udyog se tatha shoodr tinoan varnoan ki seva se samhpatti pata hai. n to dan n dene vale kanjoos ko dhan milata hai, n napuansak ko, n akarmanhy ko, n kam se ji churane vale ko, n shauryahin ko aur n tapasya n karane vale ko hi milata hai. jinhhoanne tinoan lokoan, daithyoan tatha samhpoorn devataoan ki bhi srishti ki hai, ve hi ye bhagavan vishhnu samudr mean rahakar tapashya karate haian. |
