garu d ka galav se poorv disha ka varnan karana

  • garu d ne kaha- galav! anadidev bhagavan vishnu ne mujhe ajna di hai ki maian tumhari sahayata karooan. at: tum apani ichchha ke anusar batao ki maian sabase pahale kis disha ki or chalooan? (1)
  • dvijashreshth galav! bolo, maian poorv, dakshin, pashchim athava uttar mean kis disha ki or chalooan? (2)
  • vipravar! jis disha mean sampoorn jagat ko utpann evan prabhavit karane vale bhagavan soory pratham udit hote haian; jis disha mean sandhya ke samay sadhyagan tapasya karate haian, jis disha mean gayatri jap dvara pahale vah buddhi prapt huee hai, jisane sampoorn jagat ko vyapt kar rakha hai, dharm ke yugal netrasvaroop chandrama aur soory pahale jis disha mean udit hote haian aur[1] jahaan dharm pratishthit hua hai tatha jis disha mean pavitr havishy ka havan karane par vah ahuti sampoorn dishaoan mean phail jati hai, vahi yah poorvadisha din evan sooryamarg ka dvar hai.   • isi disha mean prajapati daksh ki aditi adi kanyaoan ne sabase pahale prajavarg ko utpann kiya tha aur isi mean prajapati kashyap ki santanean vriddhi ko prapt huee haian. (6)
  • brahmarshe! devataoan ki lakshmi ka moolasthan poorv disha hi hai. isi mean indr ka devasamrat ke pad par pratham abhishek hua hai aur isi disha mean devataoan ne tapasya ki hai. ( 7)
  • brahaman! inhian sab karanoan se is disha ko 'poorva' kahate haian, kyoanki atyant poorvakal mean pahale yahi disha devataoan se avrit huee thi, atev ise sabaki adi disha kahate haian. (8)
  • sukh ki abhilasha rakhane vale logoan ko dev sanbandhi sare kary pahale isi disha mean karane chahie. (9)
  • lokasrashta bhagavan brahma ne pahale isi disha mean vedoan ka gan kiya tha aur savita devata ne brahmavadi muniyoan ko yahian savitrimantr ka upadesh kiya tha. (10)

  • isi disha mean yajnoan dvara tript hue agnigan apane yonisvaroop jal ka upabhog karate haian. yahian varun ne patal ka ashray lekar lakshmi ko prapt kiya tha. (12)
  • dvijashreshth! isi disha mean puratan maharshi vashishth ki utpatti huee hai. yahian unhean pratishtha[2]ki prapti huee hai aur isi disha mean unhean nimi ke shap se dehatyag karana p da hai. (13)
  • isi disha mean pranav arthat ved ki sahasatroan shakhaean prakat huee haian aur usi mean dhoomapayi maharshigan havishy ke dhoom ka pan karate haian. (14)
  • isi disha mean devaraj indr ne yajnabhag ki siddhi ke lie van mean jangali sooar adi hiansak pashuoan ko prokshit karake devataoan ko sauanpa tha. (15)
  • is disha mean udit hone vale bhagavan soory jo doosaroan ka ahit karane vale evan kritaghn manushy aur asur hote haian, un sabaka krodhapoorvak vinash karate [3] haian. (16)
  • galav! yah poorv digvibhag hi triloki ka, svarg ka aur sukh ka bhi dvar hai. tumhari ichchha ho to ham donoan isamean pravesh karean. (17)
  • maian jinaki ajna ke adhin hooan, un bhagavan vishnu ka priy kary mujhe avashy karana hai; at: galav! batao, kya maian poorv disha mean chalooan athava doosari disha ka bhi varnan sun lo. (18)

is prakar shrimahabharat udyogaparv ke aantargat bhagavadayanaparv mean galav charitr vishayak ek sau athavaan adhyay poora hua.
