bhimasen bole- rajanh! jaise mand aur arthajnan se shoony shrotriy ki buddhi keval mantrapath dvara mari jati hai, usi prakar apaki buddhi bhi tatvik arth ko dekhane ya samajhane vali nahian hai. bharatashreshth! yadi rajadharm ki ninda karate hue apane alasyapoorn jivan bitane ka hi nishchay kiya tha to dhritarashtr ke putroan ka vinash karane se kya phal mila? kshatriyochit marg par chalane vale purush ke hriday mean apane bhaee par bhi kshama, daya, karuna aur komalata ka bhav nahian rah jata; phir apake hriday mean yah sab kyoan hai? yadi ham pahale hi jan lete ki apaka vichar is tarah ka hai to ham hathiyar nahian uthate aur n kisi ka vadh hi karate. ham bhi apaki hi tarah sharir chhootane tak bhikh maangakar hi jivan-nirvah karate. phir to rajaoan mean yah bhanyakar yuddh hota hi nahian. vidvanh purush kahate haian ki yah sab kuchh pran ka ann hai, sthavar aur jangam sara jagat pran ka bhojan hai. kshatriy-dharm ke jnata vidvanh purush yah janate aur batate haian ki apana rajy grahan karate samay jo koee bhi usamean badhak ya virodhi kh de hoan, unhean mar dalana chahiye.

yudhishthir! jo log hamare rajy ke badhak ya lutere the, ve sabhi aparadhi hi the; atah hamane unhean mar dala. unhean marakar dharmatah prapt huee is prithvi ka ap upabhog kijiye. jaise koee manushy parishram karake kua khode aur vahaan jal n milane par deh mean kich d lapete hue vahaan se nirash laut aye, usi prakar hamara kiya- karaya yah sara parakram vyarth hona chahata hai. jaise koee vishal vriksh par aroodh ho vahaan se madhu utar laye; parantu use khane ke poorv hi usaki mrityu ho jay; hamara yah prayatn bhi vaisa hi ho raha hai. jaise koee manushy man mean koee asha lekar bahut b da marg tai kare aur vahaan pahuanchane par nirash laute, hamara yah kary bhi usi tarah nishphal ho raha hai. kurunandan! jaise koee manushy shatruoan ka vadh karane ke pashchath apani bhi hatya kar dale, hamara yah karm bhi vaisa hi hai. jaise bhookh manushy bhojan aur kami purushakamini ko pakar daivavash usaka upabhog n kare, hamara yah karm bhi vaisa hi nishphal ho raha hai.

bharatavanshi naresh! ham log hi yahaan ninda ke patr haian ki ap-jaise alpabuddhi purush ko b da bhaee samajhakar ap ke pichhe-pichhe chalate haian. ham bahubal se sampann, ast-shastroan ke vidvanh aur manasvi haian to bhi asamarth purushoan ke saman ek kayar bhaee ki ajna mean rahate haian. ham log pahale asharan manushyoan ko sharan dene vale the; kiantu ab hamara hi arth nasht ho gaya hai. aisi dasha mean arth siddhi ke liye hamara ashray lene vale log hamari is durbalata par kaise drishti nahian daleange? bandhuoan! mera kathan kaisa hai? is par vichar karo. shastr ka upadesh yah hai ki apattikal mean ya budhape se jarjar ho jane par athava shatruoan dvara dhan-sampatti se vanchit kar diye jane par manushy ko sannyas grahan karana chahiye. atah(jabaki hamare oopar poorvakt sankat nahian aya hai) vidvanh purush aise avasar mean tyag ya sannyas ki prashansa nahian karate haian. sookshmadarshi purush to aise samay mean kshatriy ke liye sannyas lena ulate dharm ka ullanghan manate haian.
