dhritarashh‍tr ke prati viduraji ke nitiyukh‍t vachan

dhritarashh‍tr bole-tat! maian chianta se jalata hua abhi tak jag raha hooan; tum mere karane yogh‍y jo kary samajho, use batao; kh‍yoanki ham logoan mean tumh‍hian dharm aur arth ke jnan mean nipun ho. udarachith‍t vidur! tum apani buddhi se vichar kar mujhe thik-thik upadesh karo. jo bat yudhishthir ke liye hitakar aur kauravoan ke liye kalh‍yanakari samajho, vah sab avashh‍y batao. vidvan mere man mean anishh‍t ki ashanka bani rahati hai, isaliye maian sarvatr anishh‍t hi dekhata hooan, at: vh‍yakul hriday se maian tumase poochh raha hooan- ajatashatru yudhishthir kh‍ya chahate haian, so sab thik-thik batao.

viduraji ne kaha-rajan! manushh‍y ko chahiye ki vah jisaki parajay nahian chahata, usako bina poochhe bhi achh‍chhi athava buri, kalh‍yan karane vali ya anishh‍t karane vali- jo bhi bat ho, bata de isaliye rajan! jisase samash‍t kauravoan ka hit ho, maian vahi bat apase kahooanga. maian jo kalh‍yanakari evan dharmayukh‍t vachan kah raha hooan, unh‍hean ap dhh‍yan dekar sunean. bharat! asat upayoan[1] adi ka prayog karake jo kapatapoorn kary siddh hote haian, unamean ap man mat lagaiye. isi prakar achh‍chhe upayoan ka upayog karake savadhani ke sath kiya gaya koee karm yadi saphal n ho to buddhiman purush ko usake liye man mean gh‍lani nahian karani chahiye.

kisi prayojan se kiye gaye karmoan mean pahale prayojan ko samajh lena chahiye. khoob soch-vichar kar kam karana chahiye, jalh‍dabaji se kisi kam ka aramh‍bh nahian karana chahiye. dhir manushh‍y ko uchit hai ki pahale karmoan ka prayojan, parinam tatha apani unh‍nati ka vichar karake phir kam aramh‍bh kare ya n kare. raja sthiti, labh, hani, khajana, desh tatha danh‍d adi ki matra ko nahian janata, vah rajh‍y par sthir nahi rah sakata. jo inake pramanoan ko uparyukh‍t prakar se thik-thik janata hai tatha dharm aur arth ke jnan mean dattachitt rahata hai, vah rajh‍y ko praph‍t karata hai. ‘ab to rajh‍y praph‍t ho ho hi gaya’-aisa samajhakar anuchit bartav nahian karana chahiye. uddanh‍data samh‍patti ko usi prakar nashh‍t kar deti hai, jaise suandar roop ko budhapa. jaise machhali badhiya khady vash‍tu se dhaki huee lohe ki kaanti ko lobh mean p dakar nigal jati hai, usase hone vale parinam par vichar nahian karati (atev mar jati hai).

at: apani unh‍nati chahane vale purush ko vahi vash‍tu khani(ya grahan karani) chahiye,[2] jo khane yogh‍y ho tatha khayi ja sake, khane (ya grahan karane ) par pach sake aur pach jane par hitakari ho. jo pe d se kachh‍che phaloan ko to data hai, vah un phaloan se ras to pata nahian, parantu us vriksh ke bij ka nash ho jata hai. parantu jo samay par pake hue phal ko grahan karata hai, vah phal se ras pata hai aur us bij se pun: phal praph‍t karata hai. jaise bhauanra phooloan ki raksha karata hua hi unake madhu ka grahan karata hai, usi prakar raja bhi prajajanoan ko kashh‍t diye bina hi unase dhan le.
