vritrasur ko sanatkumar ka adhyatmavishayak upadesh dena aur usaki paramagati tatha bhishm dvara yudhishthir ki shanka ka nivaran

shukrachary ne kaha- tat! akashasahit yah sari prithvi jinaki bhujaoan ke bal par sthit hai, mahanh prabhavashali un bhagavan vishnudev ko namaskar hai. danavashreshth! jinaka mastak aur sthan bhi anant hai, un bhagavan vishnu ka uttam mahatmy maian tumhean bataooanga. shukrachary aur vritrasur mean ye batean ho hi rahi thian ki vahaan mahamuni dharmatma unake sanshay ka nivaran karane ke liye a pahuanche. rajanh! asuraraj vritr aur muni shukrachary ke dvara poojit ho munivar sanatkumar ek bahumooly sianhasan par virajaman hue. jab mahajnani sanatkumar aram se baith gaye, tab shukrachary ne unase kaha-‘bhagavanh! ap is danavaraj ko bhagavan vishnu ka mahatmy bataiye’.

yah sunakar sanatkumar ne buddhiman danavaraj vritrasur ke prati bhagavan vishnu ki mahima se yukt yah sarthak vachan kaha- ‘shatruoan ko santap dene vale daity! bhagavan vishnu ka yah sampoorn uttam mahatmy suno- tumhean yah maloom hona chahiye ki yah samast sansar bhagavan vishnu mean hi sthit hai. ‘par mahabaho! ye shrivishnu hi sampoorn charachar pranisamuday ki srishti karate haian aur ye hi samay ane par usaka vinash karate haian evan samay ane par punah srishti bhi karate haian. ‘samast prani inhian mean lay ko prapt hote haian aur inhian se prakat bhi hote haian. inhean koee shastr jnan, tapasya aur yajn ke dvara bhi nahian pa sakata. keval indriyoan ke sanyam se hi unaki upalabdhi ho sakati hai. ‘jo brahy (yajn adi) aur abhyantar (sham, dam adi) karmoan mean pravrit hokar man ke vishay mean sthirata prapt karake arthath man ko sthir karake buddhi ke dvara use nirmal banata hai, vah paralok mean akshay sukh (moksh) ko prapt kar leta hai.

‘jaise sonar baranbar kiye hue apane mahanh pratyan ke dvara chaandi ko ag mean dalakar use shuddh karata hai, usi prakar jiv saik doan janmoan mean apane man ko shuddh kar pata hai; parantu is yajn adi aur sham-dam adi karmoan dvara yadi vah mahanh prayatn kare to ek hi janm mean shuddh ho jata hai. ‘jaise apane sharir mean lagi huee tho di-si dhool ko manushy sadharan cheshta se khel-khel mean hi jha d-pochh deta hai, usi prakar baranbar kiye hue mahanh prayatn se vah apane rag dvesh adi doshoan ko bhi door kar sakata hai. ‘jaise tho de-se pushp evan mala dvara vasit kiya hua til aur sarasoan ka tel apani gandh nahian chho data hai, usi prakar tho dean-se prayatn se n to dosh door hote haian aur n sookshm brahm ka sakshatkar hi ho pata hai. ‘vahi til ya sarasoan ka tel bahut-se sugandhit pushpoan dvara baranbar vasit hone par apani gandh ko chho d deta hai aur us phool ki gandh mean hi sthit ho jata hai. usi prakar saik doan janmoan mean stri-putr adi ke sansarg se yukt tatha sattv, raj aur tam-in tinoan gunoan dvara pravartit dosh samooh buddhi tatha abhyasajanit yath‍n se nivritt ho pata hai.
