samasht anarthoan ka karan lobh ko batakar usase hone vale vibhinhn papoan ka varnan tatha shreshth mahapurushoan ke lakshan yudhishthir ne poochha-bharatashreshhth! maian yathartharoop se yah sunana chahata hooan ki pap ka adhishthan khya hai aur kisase usaki pravritti hoti hai? bhishhm ji ne kaha-nareshhvar! pap ka jo adhishthan hai, use suno. ekamatr lobh hi pap ka adhishthan hai. vah manushhy ko nigal jane ke liye ek b da grah hai. lobh se hi pap ki pravritti hoti hai. lobh se hi pap, adharm tatha mahan du:khi ki utpatti hoti hai. shathata tatha chhal-kapat ka bhi mool karan lobh hi hai. isi ke karan manushhy papachari ho jate haian. lobh se hi krodh prakat hota hai, lobh se hi kam ki pravritti hoti hai aur lobh se hi maya, moh, abhiman oodanhdata tatha paradhinata adi dosh prakat hote haian. asahanashilata, nirlajhjata, samhpatinash, dharmakshay, chinhta aur apayash- ye sab lobh se hi sambhav hote haian. lobh se hi kripanata, athyanht trishhna, shastraviruddh karmoan mean pravritti, kul aur vidyavishayak abhiman, roop aur aishhvary ka mad, samast praniyoan ke prati droh, sabaka tiraskar, sabake prati avishhvas tatha kutilatapoorn bartav hote haian. paraye dhan ka apaharan, parayi striyoan ke prati balathkar, vani ka veg, man ka veg, ninhda karane ki vishesh pravritti, jananendriy ka veg, udar ka veg, mrithyu ka bhayankar veg arthat athmahathya, eershhya ka prabal veg, mithhya ka durjay veg, anivary rasanendriy ka veg, du:sah shrotrendriy ka veg, ghrina, apani prashansa ke liye badh-badhakar batean banana, mathsarata, pap, dushhkar karmoan mean pravritti, n karane yoghy kary kar baithana–in sabaka karan bhi lobh hi hai. kurooshreshth! manushhy janhmakal mean, balhyavashtha mean tatha kaumar aur yauvanavastha mean jisake karan apane bure karmoan ko chho d nahian pate haian, jo manushhy ke vriddh hone par bhi jirn nahian hota, vah lobh hi hai. jis prakar gahare jalavali bahut-si nadiyoan ke mil jane se bhi samudr nahian bharata hai, usi prakar kitane hi pradarthoan ka labh kyoan n ho jay, lobh ka pet kabhi nahian bharata hai. lobhi manushhy bahut-sa labh pakar bhi santushht nahian hota. bhogoan se vah kabhi tripht nahian hota. nareshhvar! n devataoan, n ganhdharvoan, n asuroan, n b de-b de़ nagoan aur n sampoorn bhootaganoan dvara hi lobh ka svaroop yatharth-roop se jana jata hai. jisane apane man aur indriyoan ko kaboo mean kar liya hai, us purush ko chahiye ki vah mohasahit lobh ko jite. kurunandan! dambh, droh, ninhda, chugali, aur matsarata–ye sabhi dosh ajitatma lobhi purushoan mean hi hote haian. bahushrut vidvan b de-b de़ shastroan ko kanhthasth kar lete haian. sab ki shankaoan ka nivaran kar dete haian; parantu is lobh mean phansakar unaki buddhi mari jati hai aur ve niranhtar khlesh uthate rahate haian. ve dosh aur krodh mean phansakar shishtachar ko chho d dete haian aur oopar se mithe vachan bolate hue bhitar se atyant kathor ho jate haian. unaki sthiti ghas-phooans se dhake hue kuean ke saman hoti hai. ve dharm ke nam par sansar ko dhokha dene vale kshudr manushhy dharmadhhvaji hokar (dharm ka dhoang phailakar) jagath ko lootate haian. |
