munivar devasthan ka raja yudhishthir ko yajnanushthan ke liye prerit karana

vaishampayan ji kahate haian- rajanh! yudhishthir ki yah bat samapt hone par pravachanakushal mahatapasvi devasthan ne yuktiyukt vani mean raja yudhishthir se kaha.

devasthan bole- rajanh! arjun ne jo yah bat kahi hai ki 'dhan se badhakar koee vastu nahian hai.’ isake vishay mean maian bhi tum se kuchh kahooanga! tum ekagrachitt hokar suno. nareshvar! ajatashatro! tumane dharm ke anusar yah sari prithvi jiti hai. ise jitakar vyarth hi tyag dena tumhare liye uchit nahian hai. mahabahu bhoopal! brahmachary, garhasthy, vanaprasth aur sannyas- ye charoan ashram brahm ko prapt karane ki char sidhiyaan haian, jo ved mean hi pratishthit haian. inhean kramashah yathochitaroop se par karo.

kuntinandan! atah tum bahut-si dakshina vale b de-b de yajnoan ka aunashthan karo. svadhyay yajn aur jnan yajn to rrishi log kiya karate haian. rajanh! tumhean maloom hona chahiye ki rrishiyoan me kuchh log karmanishth aur taponishth bhi hote haian. kuntinandan! vaikhanas mahatmaoan ka vachan is prakar sunane mean ata hai- 'jo dhan ke liye vishesh cheshta karata hai, vah vaisi cheshta n kare- yahi sabase achchha hai; kyoanki jo us dhan ki upasana karane lagata hai, usake mahanh dosh ki vriddhi hoti hai. log dhan ke liye b de kasht se nana prakar ke dravyoan ka sangrah karate haian. parantu dhan ke liye pyasa hua manushy ajnan vash bhroonahatya- jaise pap ka bhagi ho jata hai, is bat ko vah nahian samajhata. bahudha manushy anadhikari ko dhan de deta hai aur yogy adhikari ko nahian deta. yogy-ayogy patr ki pahachan n hone se (bhroonahatya ke saman dosh lagata hai, atah) dan dharm bhi dushkar hi hai. brahm ne yajn ke liye hi dhan ki srishti ki hai tatha yajn ke uddeshy se hi usaki raksha karane vale purush ko utpann kiya hai, isaliye yajn mean hi sampoorn dhan ka upayog kar dena chahiye. phir shighr hi (us yajn se hi) yajaman ke sampoorn kamanaoan ki siddhi ho jati hai.

mahatejasvi indr dhanaratnoan se sampann nana prakar ke yajnoan dvara yajn purush ka yajan karake sampoorn devataoan se adhik utkarshashali ho gaye; isaliye indr ka pad pakar ve svargalok mean prakashit ho rahe haian, atah yajn mean hi sampoorn dhan ka upayog karana chahiye. gajasur ke charm ko vastr ki bhaanti dharan karane vale mahatma mahadev ji sarvasv samarpanaroop yajn mean apane ap ko homakar devataoan ke bhi devata ho gaye. ve apane uttam kirti se sampoorn vishv ko vyapt karake tejasvi roop se prakashit ho rahe haian. avikshith ke putr suprasiddh maharaj marutt ne apani samriddhi ke dvara devaraj indr ko bhi parajit kar diya tha, unake yajn mean lakshmi devi svayan hi padhari thian. us yajn ke upayog mean aye hue sare patr sone ke bane hue the. rajadhiraj harishchandr ka nam tumane suna hoga, jinhoanne manushy hokar bhi apani dhan-sampatti ke dvara indr ko bhi parast kar diya tha, ve bhi anek prakar ke yajnoan ka anushthan karake puny ke bhagi evan shokashoony ho gaye the; atah yajn mean hi sara dhan laga dena chahiye’.
