trishh‍na ke parith‍yag ke vishay mean manh‍davh‍y muni aur janak ka sanvad

yudhishthir ne poochha- pitamah! ham log b de papi aur kroor haian. hamane dhan ke lie hi bhaee, pita, pautrakutumh‍bijan, suhridh aur putr- in sabaka sanhar kar dala. yah jo dhanajanik trishh‍na ko kis tarah door karean? bhishh‍m ji bol- rajan! ek bar manh‍davh‍y muni ne videharaj janak se aisa hi prashh‍n kiya tha, usake uth‍tar mean videharaj ne jo udgar prakat kiya tha, usi prachin itihas ko vijn purush aise avasaroan par udaharan ke taur par duharaya karate haian.

raja janak ne kaha tha ki maian b de sukh se jivan vh‍yatit karata hooan, kh‍yoanki is jagat ki koee bhi vash‍tu meri nahian hai. kisi par bhi mera mamath‍v nahian hai. yadi sari mithila mean ag lag jay to bhi mera kuchh nahian jalata hai. jo viveki haian, unh‍hean b de samriddhi samh‍panh‍n vishay bhi du:kh rup hi jan p date hai. parantu ajnaniyoan ko tuchh‍chh vishay bhi sada moh mean dale rahate haian. lok mean jo kam‍janit sukh hai tatha jo sh‍varg ka divh‍y evan mahan sukh hai, ve donoan trishh‍na kshay se hone vale sukh ki solahavian kala ki bhi tulana pane ke yogh‍y nahian hai.

jis prakar samayanusar b de hote hue bachhade़ ka siang bhi usake sharir ke sath hi badhata hai, usi prakar badhate hue dhan ke sath trishh‍na bhi badhati jati hai. koee bhi vash‍tu kh‍yoan n ho, jab usake prati mamata kar li jati hai- vah vash‍tu apani man li jati hai, tab nasht hone par vahi santap ka karan ban jati hai. isalie kamanaoan ya bhogoan ki vriddhi ke lie agrah nahian rakhana chahiye. bhogoan mean jo asakti hoti hai, vah du:kh rup hi hai. dhan pakar bhi use dharm mean hi laga dena chahiye. kam-bhogoan ko to sarvatha th‍yag hi dena chahiye. vidvan purush sabhi praniyoan ke prati apane saman hi bhav rakhe. isase vah kritakrith‍y aur shuddhachith‍t hokar samash‍t doshoan ko th‍yag deta hai. vah sath‍y-asath‍y, harsh-shok, priy-apriy tatha bhay-abhay adi sabhi dvanh‍dvoan ko th‍yag kar ath‍yanh‍t shanh‍t aur nirvikar ho jata hai. khoti buddhi vale moodh purushoan ke liye jisaka th‍yag karana kathin hai, jo sharir ke jarajirn ho jane par bhi sh‍vayan jirn n hokar nayi-naveli hi bani rahati hai tatha jise prananh‍takal tak rahane vala rog mana gaya hai, us trishh‍na ko jo th‍yag deta hai, usi ko param sukh milata hai. jo apane sadachar ko chanh‍drama ke saman vishuddh, ujh‍javal evan nirvikar dekhata hai, vah dharmath‍ma purush ihalok aur paralok mean kirti evan uttam sukh pata hai. raja ke ye vachan sunakar brahmarshi manh‍davh‍y b de prasanh‍n hue. unake kathan ki prashansa karake muni ne mokshamarg ka ashray liya.
