jara-mrith‍yu ka ulh‍langhan karane ke vishay mean panch shikh aur raja janak ka sanvad

yudhishthir ne poochh—bharatashreshh‍th! mahanh aishh‍vary ya prachur dhan athava bahut b di ayu pakar manushh‍y kis tarah mrith‍yu ka ulh‍langhan kar sakata hai ?. vah gurutar tapash‍ya karake, mahanh karmoan ka anushh‍than karake, ved-shash‍troan ka adhh‍yayan karake athava nana prakar ke rasayanoan ka prayog karake kin upayoan dvara jara aur mrith‍yu ko praph‍t nahian hota hai ? bhishh‍maji ne kaha—yudhishthir! is vishay mean vidvanh purush sanh‍yasi panchashikh tatha raja janak ke sanvadaroop is prachin itihas ka udaharan diya karate haian. ek samay ki bat hai, videhadesh ke raja janak ne ved-veth‍taoan mean shreshh‍th maharshi panchashikh se, jinake dharm aur arth-vishayak sandeh nashh‍t ho gaye the, is prakar prashh‍n kiya—‘bhagavanh! kis achar, tapash‍ya, buddhi, karm athava shash‍trajnan ke dvara manushh‍y jara aur mrith‍yu ko laangh sakata hai ?’ unake is prakar poochhane par aparoksh jnan se samh‍panh‍n maharshi panchashikh ne videharaj ko is prakar uth‍tar diya—‘jara aur mrith‍yu ki nivritti nahian hoti hai, parantu aisa bhi nahian hai ki kisi prakar unaki nivritti ho hi nahian sakati (dhan aur aishh‍vary adi se unaki nivritti nahian hoti, parantu jnan se to punarjanh‍m ki bhi nivritti ho jati hai; phir jara aur mrith‍yu ki to bat hi kh‍ya ?) din, rat aur mahinoan ke jo chakr chal rahe haian, ve kisi ke tale nahian talate haian. isi prakar janh‍m, mrith‍yu aur jara adi ke pray: chalate hi rahate haian. jisake jivan ka kuchh thikana nahian, vah maranadharma manav kabhi dirgh-kal ke pashh‍chath nith‍yapath (mokshamarg) ka ashram leta hai. kal samash‍t praniyoan ka uchh‍chhed kar dalata hai. jaise jal ka pravah kisi vash‍tu ko bahaye liye jata hai, usi prakar kal sada hi praniyoan ko apane veg se bahaya karata hai. yah kal bina nauka ke samudr ki bhaanti lahara raha hai. jara aur mrith‍yu vishal grah ka roop dharan karake usamean baithe hue haian. us kal-sagar mean bahate aur doobate hue jiv ko koee bhi nahi bacha nahian sakata. y‍haan is jivan ka koee bhi apana nahian hai aur vah bhi kisi ka apana nahian hai. rash‍te mean mile hue rahagiroan ke saman yahaan path‍ni tatha anh‍y banh‍dhu-banh‍dhavoan ka sath ho jata hai, parantu yahaan pahale kabhi kisi nean kisi ke sath chirakal tak sahavas ka sukh nahian uthaya hai. jaise garjate hue badaloan ko hava baranbar u dakar chhinh‍n-bhinh‍n kar deti hai, usi prakar kal yahaan janh‍m lene vale praniyoan ko unake rone-chilh‍lane par bhi vinash ki ag mean jhoank deta hai. koee balavanh hoan ya durbal, b da hoan ya chhota, un sab praniyoan ko budhapa aur maut vh‍yaghr ki bhaanti kha jati hai. is prakar jab sabhi prani vinashashil hi hai, tab nith‍y-sh‍varoop jivath‍ma un praniyoan ke liye janh‍m lene par harsh kis‍liye mane aur mar jane par shok kh‍yoan kare ? maian kaun hooan ? kahaan se aya hooan ? kahaan jaooanga ? kisake sath mera kh‍ya samh‍banh‍dh hai ? kis sh‍than mean sthit hokar kahaan phir janh‍m looanga ? is sab batoan ko lekar tum kisaliye kh‍ya shok kar rahe ho ? jo shubh aur ashubh karm karata hai, usake siva doosara kaun aisa hai jo un karmoan ke phalash‍varoop sh‍varg aur naraka ka darshan evan upabhog karega; at: shash‍tr ki ajna ka ulh‍langhan n karate hue sab logoan ko dan aur yajn adi sath‍karm karate rahana chahiye.
