dakshin disha ka varnan
  • garu d kahate haian- galav! yah prasiddh hai ki poorvakal mean bhagavan soory ne vedokt vidhi ke anusar yajn karake achary kashyap ko dakshina roop se is disha ka dan kiya tha, isalie ise dakshin disha kahate haian. (1)
  • brahman! tinoan lokoan ke pitrigan isi disha mean pratishthit haian tatha 'ooshmap' namak devataoan ka nivas bhi isi disha mean suna jata hai. (2)
  • pitaroan ke sath vishvedevagan sada dakshin disha mean hi vas karate haian. ve samast lokoan mean poojit ho shraddh mean pitaroan ke saman hi bhag prapt karate haian. (3)
  • vipravar! vidvan purush is dakshin disha ko dharm devata ka doosara dvar kahate haian. yahian chitragupt adi ke dvara 'truti' aur 'lav' adi sookshm se sookshm kalaanshoan par drishti rakhate huye praniyoan ki ayu ki nishchit ganana ki jati hai. (4)
  • devarshi, pitrilok ke rrishi tatha samast rajarshigan duahkh rahit ho sada isi disha mean nivas karate haian. (5)
  • dvijashreshth! isi disha mean rahakar chitragupt adi ke dvara dharmaraj ke nikat praniyoan ke dharm, saty tatha sadharan karmoan ke vishay mean kaha jata hai. mrit prani tatha unake karm isi disha ka ashray lete haian. (6)
  • vipravar! yah vah disha hai, jisamean mrityu ke pashchat sabhi praniyoan ko jana p data hai. yah sada ajnanandhakar se avrit rahati hai, isalie isamean sukhapoorvak yatra sanbhav nahian ho pati hai. (7)
  • dvijashreshth! brahamaji ne is disha mean pratikool svabhav evan acharan vale sahasatroan rakshasoan ki srishti ki hai, jinaka darshan ashuddh aant:karan vale purushoan ko hi hota hai. (8)
  • brahman! isi disha mean gandharvagan mandarachal ke kuoan aur brahamarshiyoan ke ashramoan mean man aur buddhi ko akarshit karane vali gathaoan ka gan karate haian. (9)
  • poorvakal mean yahian raja raivat gathaoan ke roop mean samagan sunate-sunate apani stri, mantri tatha rajy se bhi viyukt ho van mean chale ge the. (10)
  • brahman! isi disha mean savarni manu tatha yavakrit ke putr ne soory ki gati ke lie maryada [1] sthapit ki thi, jisaka sooryadev kabhi ullanghan nahian karate haian. (11)
  • pulastyavanshi rakshasaraj mahamana ravan ne isi disha mean tapasya karake devataoan se avadhy hone ka varadan prapt kiya tha. (12)
  • isi disha mean ghatit huee ghatana ke karan vritrasur devaraj indr ka shatru ban baitha tha. dakshin disha mean hi akar sabake pran pun: [2] paanch bhagoan mean bant jate haian arthat prani nootan deh dharan karate haian. (13)
  • galav! isi disha mean papachari manushy narakoan ki ag mean pakae jate haian. dakshin mean hi vah vaitarani nadi hai, jo vaitarani narak ke adhikari papiyoan se ghiri rahati hai. (14)
  • manushy isi disha mean jakar sukh aur duahkh ke aant ko prapt hota hai. isi dakshin disha mean lautane par arthat uttarayan ke aantim bhag mean pahuanchakar dakshinayan ke aranbh mean ane par jabaki varsha rritu rahati hai, sooryadev susvadu jal ki varsha karate haian. phir vashishth muni ke dvara sevit uttar disha mean pahuanchakar arthat uttarayan ke aranbh mean jabaki shishir rritu rahati hai, ve ole girate haian.
