athava sanyukh‍t aang ke rathi, hathisavar, ghu dasavar, paidal, manh‍tri, bhikshuk, vakil, jh‍yotishi, daivajn, kosh, mitr, dhanh‍y tatha anh‍y sab samagri, rajh‍y ki sat prakritiyaan (sh‍vami, amath‍y, suhadh, kosh, rashh‍tr, durg aur sena) aur uparyukh‍t ath aangoan se yukh‍t bal-in sabako rajh‍y ka sharir mana gaya hai. in sab mean danh‍d hi pradhan aang hai, kh‍yoanki danh‍d hi sab ki uth‍pati ka karan hai. eeshh‍var ne yath‍napoorvak dharmaraksha ke liye kshatriy ke hath mean usake saman jativala danh‍d samarpit kiya hai; isaliye danh‍d hi is sanatan vh‍yavahar ka karan hai. brahmaji ne lok raksha tatha sh‍vadharm ki sh‍thapana ke nimit dharm ka pradarshan(upadesh) kiya tha, vah danh‍d hi hai. rajaoan ke liye usase badhakar param poojaniy doosara dharm nahian hai. sh‍vami athava vichar ke vishh‍vas ke anusar jo vh‍yavahar uth‍panh‍n hota hai, vah (vadi-prativadi dvarauthaye hue vivad se uth‍panh‍n vh‍yavahar ki apeksha) bhinh‍n ‘bhartriprath‍yayalakshan’ vah samh‍poorn jagath ke liye hitakar dekhagaya hai (yah pahala bhed hai).

narashreshh‍th! vedapratipadit doshoan ka acharan karane vale aparadhi liye jo vh‍yavahar ya vichar hota hai, vah vedaprath‍yay kahalata hai (yah doosara bhed hai) aur kulachar bhang karane ke aparadh par kiye jane vale vichar ya vh‍yavahar ko maul kahate haian (yah tisara bhed hai). isamean bhi shash‍trokh‍t danh‍d ka hi vidhan kiya jata hai.. pahale jo bhartriprath‍yayalakshan danh‍d bataya gaya hai, vah hamean raja mean hi sthit janana chahiye, kh‍yoanki vah vishh‍vas aur danh‍d raja par hi avalambit hai. yadyapi sh‍vami ke vishh‍vas ke adhar par hi vah danh‍d dekha gaya hai; tathapi use bhi vh‍yavahar sh‍varup hi mana gaya haian. jise vh‍yavahar mana gaya hai, vah bhi vedokh‍t vishayase bhinh‍n nahian hai. jisaka sh‍varup ved se prakat hua hai, vah dharm hi hai. jo dharm hai, vah apana gun (labh) dikhata hi hai. punh‍yath‍ma purushoan ne dharm ke anusar hi dharmavishh‍vas moolak danh‍d ka pratipadan kiya hai.

yudhishthir! brahmaji ka banaya hua jo praja-rakshak vh‍yavahar hai, vah sath‍yash‍varup hone ke sath hi aishh‍vary ki vriddhi karane vala hai; vahi tinoan lokoan ki dharan karata hai. jo danh‍d hai, vahi hamari drishti mean sanatan vh‍yavahar hai. jo vh‍yavahar dekha gaya haian, vahi ved hai, yah nishchitarup se kaha ja sakata hai. joved haian, vahi dharm hai aur jo dharm hai, vahi sath‍purushoan ka sanh‍marg hai. sath‍purush haian lokapitamah prajapati brahmaji,jo sabase pahale prakat hue the. ve hi devata, manushh‍y, nag, asur tatha rakshasoan sahit samh‍poorn lokoan ke karta tatha samash‍t praniyoan ke sh‍trashh‍ta hai.. unh‍hian se bhartriprath‍yay namak is anh‍y prakar ke danh‍d ki pravriti huee, phir unh‍hoanne hi is vh‍yavahar ke liye yah adarsh vakh‍y kaha- ‘mata,pita, bhaee, sh‍tri tatha purohit koee bhi kh‍yoan n ho, jo apane dharm mean sthir nahian rahata, use raja avashh‍y danh‍d dean, raja ke liye koee bhi adanh‍daniy nahian hai’.

is prakar shrimahabharat shantiparv ke anh‍tagart rajadharmanushasanaparv mean danh‍d ke sh‍varup ka varnan vishayak ek sau ikh‍kisavaan adhh‍yay pura hua.
