papachari dushhtoan ka tyag n karake unake sath mile rahane se niraparadh sajjanoan ko bhi un (papiyoan) ke saman hi danh d prapt hota hai, jaise sookhi lak di mean mil jane se gili bhi jal jati hai; isaliye dushht purushoan ke sath kabhi mel n karean. jo paanch vishayoan ki or dau dane vale apane paanch indriy-roopi shatruoan ko moh ke karan vash mean nahian karata, us manushhy ko vipatti gras leti hai. gunoan mean dosh n dekhana, saralata, pavitrata, santosh, priy vachan bolana, indriyadaman, satyabhashan tatha saralata- ye gun duratma purushoan mean nahian hote. bharat! atmajnan, akrodh, sahanashilata, dharmaparayanata, vachan ki raksha tatha dan- ye gun adham purushoan mean nahian hote. moorkh manushhy vidvanoan ko gali aur ninda se kashht pahuanchate haian. gali dene vala pap ka bhagi hota hai aur kshama karane vala pap se mukt ho jata hai. dushht purushoan ka bal hai hiansa, rajaoan ka bal hai dand dena, striyoan ka bal hai seva aur gunavanoan ka bal hai kshama. rajan! vani ka poorn sanyam to bahut kathin mana hi gaya hai; parantu vishesh arthayukt aur chamatkarapoorn vani bhi adhik nahian boli ja sakati [1]. rajan! madhur shabdoan mean kahi huee bat anek prakar se kalyan karati hai; kiantu vahi yadi katu shabdoan mean kahi jay to mahan anarth ka karan ban jati hai. banoan se biandha hua ttha pharase se kata hua ban bhi akuanrit ho jata hai; kiantu katu vachan khakar vani se kiya hua bhayanak ghav nahian bharata. karni, nalik aur narach namk banoan ko sharir se nikal sakate haian, parantu katu vachanaroopi ban nahian nikala ja sakata; kyoanki vah hriday ke bhitar dhans jata hai. katu vachan roopi ban mukh se nikalakar doosaroan ke marm-shthan par hi chot karate haian; unase ahat manushhy rat-din ghulata rahata hai. at: vidvan purush doosaroan par unaka prayog n karean. devata log jise parajay dete hai; usaki buddhi ko pahale hi har lete hai; isase vah nich karmoan par hi adhik drishti rakhata hai. vinashakal upasthit hone par buddhi malin ho jati hai; phir to nyay ke saman pratit hone vala anyay hriday se bahar nahian nikalata. bharatashreshhth! apake putroan ki vah buddhi panhdavoan ke prati virodh se vyapt ho gayi hai; ap unhean pahachan nahian rahe haian. maharaj dhritarashhtr! jo rajalakshanoan se sampann hone ke karan tribhuvan ka bhi raja ho sakata hai, vah apaka ajnakari yudhishthir hi is prithvi ka shasak hone yogy hai. vah dharm tatha arth ke tattv ko janane vala, tej aur buddhi se yukt, poorn saubhagyashali tatha apake sabhi putroan se badh-chadhakar hai. rajendr! dharmadhariyoan mean shreshhth yudhishthir daya, saumyabhav tatha apake prati gaurav buddhi ke karan bahut kashht sah raha hai. is prakar mahabharat udyogaparv ke antargat prajagaraparv mean viduraji ke nitivakyavishayak chautisavaan adhhyay poora hua.
