‘jo manushh‍y apani samash‍t kamanaoan ko pa leta hai, tatha jo in sabaka keval th‍yag kar deta hai- in donoan ke karyoan mean samash‍t kamanaoan ko praph‍t karane ki apeksha unaka th‍yag hi shreshh‍th hai. ‘koee bhi pahale kabhi dhan adi ke liye hone vali samh‍poorn pravritiyoan ka aant nahian pa saka hai. sharir aur jivan ke prati moorkh manushh‍y ki hi trishh‍na badhati hai. ‘o kamanaoan ke das man! too sab prakar ki cheshh‍taoan se nivrit ho ja aur vairagh‍yapoorvak shaanti dharan kar. too dhan ki cheshh‍ta karake baranbar thaga gaya hai to bhi usaki or se vairagh‍y nahian hota hai. ‘o dhan ki kamana vale man, yadi tujhe mera vinash nahian karana hai, yadi too isi prakar mere sath ananh‍dapoorvak rahana chahata hai to mujhe vh‍yarth lobh mean n phansa. ‘toone bar–bar dravh‍y ka sanchay kiya aur vah baranbar nashh‍t hota chala gaya.

dhan ki ichh‍chha rakhane vale moodh, kh‍ya kabhi too dhan ki is trishh‍na aur cheshh‍ta ka th‍yag bhi karega? ‘aho, yah meri kaisi nadani hai? jo maian tere hath ka khilauna bana hua hooan. yadi aisi bat n hoti to kh‍ya koee samajhadar purush kabhi doosaroan ki dasata sh‍vikar kar sakata hai? ‘poorvakal ke tatha pichhe ke manushh‍y bhi kabhi kamanaoan ka aant nahian pa sake hai, at: maian samash‍t karmo ka ayojan th‍yagakar savadhan ho gaya hooan aur maian poornat jag gaya hooan. ‘kam, nishh‍chay hi tera hriday phaulad ka bana hua hai, at: ev ath‍yant sudridh hai. yahi karan hai ki saik doan anartho se vh‍yaph‍t hone par bhi isake saik doan tuk dean nahi ho jate. ‘kam, maian tujhe achchhi tarah janata hooan aur jo koochh tumhean priy lagata hai, usase bhi parichit hooan. chirakal se tera priy karane ki cheshh‍ta karata chala a raha hooan; parantu kabhi mere man mean sukh ka anubhav nahian hua. ‘kam! maian teri j d ko janata hooan. nishh‍chay hi too sankalp se utpann hota hai.

ab maian tera sankalp hi nahian karooanga, jisase too samool nashh‍t ho jaega. "dhan ki ichchha athava cheshh‍ta sukhadayini nahian hai. yadi dhan mil bhi jay to usaki raksha adi ke liye b di bhari chinta badh jati hai aur yadi ek bar milakar vah nashh‍t ho jay, tab to mrityu ke saman hi bhanyakar kashh‍t hota hai aur udyog karane par bhi dhan milega ya nahian, yah nishh‍chay nahian hota. ‘sharir ko nichhavar kar dene par bhi manushh‍y jab dhan nahian pata hai to usake liye isase badhakar mahan du:kh aur kya ho sakata hai? yadi dhan ki upalabdhi ho bhi jay to utane se hi vah santushh‍t nahian hota hai apitu adhik dhan ki talash karane lag jata hai. ‘kam! svadishh‍t g dajal ke saman yah dhan trishh‍na ki hi vriddhi karane vala hai. maian achchhi tarah jan gaya hooan ki yah trishh‍na ki vriddhi mere vinash ka karan hai; at: too mera pinh‍d chho d de. ‘mere is sharir ka ashray lekar jo paanchoan bhootoan ka samuday sthit hai, vah isamean se apani ichchha ke anusar sukh poorvak chala jay ya isamean rahe, isaki mujhe parava nahian hai.
