maian sab bhootoan mean samabhav se vh‍yapak hooan, n koee mera apriy hai aur n priy hai;[1] parantu jo bhakh‍t mujhako prem se bhajate hai, ve mujh mean haian aur maian bhi unamean prath‍yakshh‍a prakat hooan.[2] yadi koee atishay durachari[3] bhi ananh‍y bhav se mera bhakh‍t hokar mujhako bhajata hai[4] to vah sadhu hi manane yogh‍y hai, kh‍yoanki vah yathath nishh‍chay vala hai. arthath usane bhali-bhaanti nishh‍chay kar liya hai ki parameshh‍var ke bhajan ke saman anh‍y kuchh bhi nahian hai.[5] vah shighr hi dharmath‍ma ho jata hai aur sada rahane vali param shanti ko praph‍t hota hai.[6] he arjun! too nishh‍chayapoorvak sath‍y jan[7] ki mera bhakh‍t nashh‍t nahian hota[8]

samh‍banh‍dh– ab do shh‍lokoan mean bhagavanh achh‍chhi buri jati ke karan hone vali vishamata ka apane mean abhav dikhalate hue sharanagatiroop bhakti ka mahath‍v pratipadan karake arjun ko bhajan karane ki ajna dete haian. he arjun! sh‍tri, vaishh‍y, shudr[9]tatha papayoni[10] chanh‍daladi jo koee bhi hoan, ve bhi mere sharan hokar[11] param gati ko praph‍t hote haian.


phir isamean kahana hi kh‍ya hai, jo punh‍yashil brahman[12] tatha rajarshi bhaktajan[13] meri sharan hokar param gati ko praph‍t hote haian. isaliye too sukharahit aur kshanabhaguanr is manushh‍y sharir ko praph‍t hokar niranh‍tar mera hi bhajan kar[14] samh‍banh‍dh– pichhale shh‍lok mean bhagavanh ne apane bhajan ka mahath‍v dikhalaya aur anh‍t mean arjun ko bhajan karane ke liye kaha. atev ab bhagavanh apane bhajan ka arthat sharanagati ka prakar batalate hue adhh‍yay ki samapti karate haian aur kahate haian- he arjun! -mujhamean manavala ho[15] mera bhakh‍t ban,[16] mera poojan karane vala ho,[17] mujhako pranam kar.[18] is prakar atma ko mujhamean niyukt karake[19] mere parayan[20] hokar too mujhako hi prapt hoga.[21]

  1. is kathan se bhagavanh ne yah bhav dikhalaya hai ki maian brahma se lekar sh‍tamh‍b paryanh‍t samash‍t praniyoan mean anh‍taryamiroop se saman bhav se vh‍yaph‍t hooan. atev mera sab mean samabhav hai, kisi mean bhi mera rag-dvesh nahian hai. isaliye vash‍tav mean mera koee bhi apriy ya priy nahian hai.
  2. bhagavanh ke sakar ya nirakar–kisi bhi roop ka shraddha aur premapoorvak niranh‍tar chinh‍tan karana unake nam, gun, prabhav, mahima aur lila charitroan ka shravan, manan aur kirtan karana unako namash‍kar karana, patr, pushh‍p adi yathesht samagriyoan dvara unaki premapoorvak pooja karana aur apane samash‍t karm unake samarpan karana adi sabhi kriyaoan ka nam bhaktipoorvak bhagavanh ko bhajana hai. jo purush is prakar bhagavanh ko bhajate haian, bhagavanh bhi unako vaise hi bhajate hai. ve jaise bhagavanh ko nahian bhoolate, vaise hi bhagavanh bhi unako nahian bhool sakate– yahi bhav dikhalane ke liye bhagavanh ne unako apane mean batalaya hai aur un bhakh‍toan ko vishuddh anh‍tahkaran bhagavath‍prem se paripoorn ho jata hai, isase unake haday mean bhagavanh sada sarvada prath‍yaksh dikhane lagate haian- yahi bhav dikhalane ke liye bhagavanh ne apane ko unamean batalaya hai. jaise samabhav se sab jagah prakash dene vala soory darpan adi sh‍vachh‍chh padarthoan mean pratibimbit hota hai, kashh‍thadi mean nahian hota, tathapi usamean vishamata nahian hai, vaise hi bhagavanh bhi bhakh‍toan ko milate haian, doosaroan ko nahian milate- isamean unaki vishamata nahian hai, yah to bhakti ki hi mahima hai.
  3. ‘chetoo’ avh‍yay ‘yadi’ ke arth mean hai isaka prayog karake bhagavanh ne yah bhav dikhalaya hai ki prayah durachari manushh‍yoan ki vishayoan mean aur papoan mean asakti rahane ke karan ve mujhamean prem karake mera bhajan nahian karate, tathapi kisi poorv shubh sansh‍kar ki jagriti, bhagavadravamay vatavaran, shastr ke adhh‍yayan aur mahath‍ma purushoan ke sath‍sang evan mere gun, prabhav, mahattv aur rahash‍y ka shravan karane se yadi kadachit durachari manushh‍y ki mujhamean shraddha bhakti ho jay aur vah mera bhajan karane lage to usaka bhi uddhar ho jata hai.
  4. jinake acharan ath‍yanh‍t dooshit ho, khan pan aur chal chalan bhrashh‍t hoan, apane sh‍vabhav, asakti aur buri adat se vivash hone ke karan jo duracharoan ka th‍yag n kar sakate hoan, aise manushh‍yoan ko atishay durachari samajhana chahiye. aise manushh‍yoan ka jo bhagavanh ke gun, prabhav adi ke sunane aur padhane se ya anh‍y kisi karan se bhagavanh ko sarvoth‍tam samajh lena aur ekamatr bhagavanh ka hi ashray lekar shraddha premapoorvak unh‍hian ko apana ishh‍tadev man lena hai- yahi unaka 'ananh‍yabhav' hona hai. is prakar bhagavanh ka bhakh‍t banakar jo unake sh‍varoop ka chinh‍tan karana, nam, gun, mahima aur prabhav ka shravan, manan aur kirtan karana, unako namash‍kar karana, patr, pushh‍p adi yatheshh‍t vash‍tu unake arpan karake unaka poojan karana tatha apane kiye hue shubh karmoan ko bhagavanh ke samarpan karana hai- yahi ananh‍yabhav hokar bhagavanh ka bhajan karana hai.
  5. jisane yah dridh nishh‍chay kar liya hai ki 'bhagavanh pratitapavan, sabake suhadh' sarvashaktimanh, param dayalu, sarvajn, sabake sh‍vami aur sarvoth‍tam haian evan unaka bhajan karana hi manushh‍y jivan ka param karth‍tavh‍y hai; isase samash‍t papoan aur pap vasanaoan ka samool nash hokar bhagavath‍kripa se mujhako apane ap hi bhagavath‍prapti ho jayegi.'– yah bahut hi uth‍tam aur yatharth nishh‍chay hai. bhagavanh kahate haian ki jisaka aisa nishh‍chay hai, vah mera bhakh‍t hai aur meri bhakti pratap se vah shighr hi poorn dharmath‍ma ho jaega. atev use papi ya dushh‍t n manakar sadhu hi manana uchit hai.
  6. isi janh‍m mean bahut hi shighr sab prakar ke durgan aur duracharoan se rahit hokar gita ke solahavean adhh‍yay ke pahale, ‘doosare aur tisare shh‍lokoan mean varnit daivi samh‍pada se yukh‍t ho jana arthat bhagavanh ki prapti ka patr ban jana hi shighr dharmath‍ma ban jana hai aur jo sada rahane vali shanti hai, jisaki ek bar prapti ho jane par phir kabhi abhav nahian hota, jise naishthiki shanti (gita 5.12), nirvanaparama shanti (gita 6.15) aur parama shanti (gita 18.62) kahate haian, parameshh‍var ki prapti roop us shanti ko praph‍t ho jana hi ‘sada rahane vali param shanti’ ko praph‍t hona hai.
  7. isake prayog se bhagavanh ne yah bhav dikhalaya hai ki ‘arjun! maianne jo tumh‍hean apani bhakti ka aur bhakh‍t ka yah mahattv batalaya hai, usamean tumh‍hean kintu matr bhi sanshay n rakhakar use sarvatha sath‍y samajhana aur dridhatapoorvak dharan kar lena chahiye.
  8. yahaan bhagavanh ke kahane ka yah abhipray hai ki mere bhakt ka kramashah uth‍than hi hota rahata hai, patan nahian hotaa arthath vah n to apani sthiti se kabhi girata hai aur n usako nich yoni ya narakadiki prapti roop durgati ki hi prapti hoti hai vah poorv kathan ke anusar kramashah durgun duracharoan se sarvatha rahit hokar shighr hi dharmath‍ma ban jata hai aur param shanti ko praph‍t ho jata hai.
  9. yahaan ‘api’ ka do bar prayog karake bhagavanh ne ooanchi nichi jati ke karan hone vali vishamata ka apane mean sarvatha abhav dikhalaya hai. bhagavanh ke kathan ka yahaan yah abhipray pratit hota hai ki brahman aur kshatriyoan ki apeksha hin samajhe jane vali sh‍tri, vaishh‍y aur shoodr evan unase bhi hin samajhe jane vale chanh‍dal adi koee bhi hoan, meri unamean bhedabuddhi nahian hai. meri sharan hokar jo koee bhi mujhako bhajate haian, unh‍hian ko param gati mil jati hai.
  10. poorvajanh‍moan ke papoan ke karan chanh‍daladi yoniyoan mean uth‍panh‍n praniyoan ko ‘papayoni’ hi mana gaya hai. inake siva shash‍troan ke anusar hoon, bhil, khas, yavan adi mh‍lechh‍chh jati ke manushh‍y bhi ‘papayoni’ hi mane jate hai. yahaan ‘papayoni’ shabh‍d inh‍hian sabaka vachak hai. bhagavanh ki bhakti ke liye kisi jati ya varn keliye koee rukavat nahian hai. vahaan to shuddh prem ki avashh‍yakata hai. shrimadbhagavat mean bhi kaha hai- he udvav! santoan ka paramapriy ‘ath‍ma’ roop maian ekamatr shraddha bhakti se hi vashibhoot hota hooan. meri bhakti janh‍matah chanh‍daloan ko bhi pavitr kar deti hai.’ yahaan ‘papayonayah’ pad ko sh‍tri, vaishh‍y aur shoodroan ka visheshan nahian manana chahiye; kh‍yoanki vaishh‍yoan ki ganana di jo mean ki gayi hai. unako ved padhane ka aur yajnadi vaidik karmoan ke karane ka shash‍tr mean poorn adhikar diya gaya hai. atah dij hone ke karan vaishh‍yoan ko ‘papayoyani’ kahana nahian ban sakata. isake atarikh‍t chhanh‍dogh‍yopanishadh mean jahaan jivoan ki karmanuroop gati ka varnan hai, yah sh‍pashh‍t kaha gaya hai ki- tadd ih ramaniyacharana abhh‍yasho h yath‍te ramaniyan yonimapagharen brahmanayonian va kshatrayiyonian va vaishh‍yayonian vath y ih kapooyacharana abhh‍yasho h yath‍te kapooyaan yoniamapadherashh‍yonian va sakoorayonian va chanh‍dal yonian va. (adhh‍yay 5 khanh‍d 10 man. 7) ‘un jivoan mean jo is lok mean ramaniy acharan vale arthath punh‍yath‍ma hote haian, ve shighr hi uth‍tam yoni– brahmanayoni, kshatriyanian athava vaishh‍yayoni ko praph‍t karate hai aur jo is sansar mean kapooy (adham) acharan vale arthath papakarma hote haian, ve adham yoni arthath kuth‍te ki, soo‍kar ki ya chaannh‍dal ki yoni ko praph‍t karate haian. isase yah siddh hai ki vaishh‍yoan ki ganana ‘papayoni’ mean nahian ki ja sakati. ab rahi striyoan ka apane patiyoan ke sath yajnadi vaidik karmoan mean adhikar mana gaya hai. is karan se unako bhi papayoni kahana nahian ban sakata. sabase b di a dachan to yah p degi ki bhagavanh ki bhakti se chanh‍dal adi ko bhi paramagati milane ki bat, jo ki sarvashash‍trasamh‍mat hai aur jo bhakit ke mahath‍v ko prakat karati hai, kaise rahegiॽ atev ‘papayonayah’ padako sh‍tri, vaishh‍y aur shoodroan ka visheshan n manakar shoodroan ki apeksha bhi hin jati ke manushh‍yoan ka vachak manana hi thik pratit hota hai. kh‍yoanki bhagavat mean batalaya hai-

    kiratahoonandhrapulindapulkasa abhir k daka yavanaah khasadayah.
    yeanye ch papa yadupashrayashrayaah shuddhayanti tasmai prabhapishnave namah..(2.4.18)

    ‘jinake ashrit bhakh‍toan ka ashray lekar kirat, hoon, anh‍dhr, pulinh‍d, pulh‍kas, abhir, kank, yavan aur khas adi agham jati ke log tatha inake siva aur bhi b de se b de papi manushh‍y shuddh ho jate haian, un jagath prabhu bhagavanh vishnu ko namash‍kar hai.‘

  11. bhagavanh poorn vishh‍vas karake chautisavean shh‍lok ke kathananusar premapoorvak sab prakar se bhagavanh ki sharan ho jana arthath unake prath‍yek vidhan mean sada santushh‍t rahana, unake nam, roop, gun, lila adi ka niranh‍tar shravan, kirtan aur chinh‍tan karate rahana, unh‍hian ko apani gati, bharta, prabhu adi manana, shraddha bhaktipoorvak unaka poojan karana, unh‍hean namash‍kar karana, unaki ajna ka palan karana aur samash‍t karm unh‍hian ke samarpan kar dena adi bhagavanh ki sharan hona hai.
  12. ‘kim’ aur ‘punah’ ka prayog karake bhagavanh ne yah bhav dikhalaya hai ki jab uparyukh‍t ath‍yanh‍t durachari (gita 9.30) aur chanh‍dal adi nich jati ke manushh‍y bhi (gita 9.32) mera bhajan karake param gati ko praph‍t ho jate haian, tab phir jinake achar vh‍yavahar aur varn ath‍yanh‍t uth‍tam haian, aise mere bhakh‍t punh‍yashil brahman aur rajarshilog meri sharan hokar param gati ko praph‍t ho jayean– isamean to kahana hi kh‍ya hai!
  13. ‘bhakh‍tah’ pad ka samh‍banh‍dh brahman aur rajarshi donoan ke sath hai, kh‍yoanki yahaan bhakti ke karan unako param gati ki prapti batalayi gayi hai.
  14. manushh‍y deh bahut hi durlabh hai. yah b de punh‍y bal se aur khas karake bhagavanh ki kripa se milata hai aur milata hai keval bhagavath‍prapti ke liye hi. is sharir ko pakar jo bhagavath‍prapti ke liye sadhan karata hai, usi ka manushh‍y jivan saphal hota hai. jo isamean sukh khojata hai, vah to asali labh se vanchit hi rah jata hai; kh‍yoanki yah sarvatha sukharahit hai, isamean kahian sulakh lesh bhi nahian hai. jin vishay bhogoan ke samh‍bandh ko manushh‍y sukharoop samajhata hai, vah bar bar janh‍m mrith‍yu ke chakh‍kar mean dalane vala hone ke karan vash‍tutah duahkharoop hi hai. atev isako sukh roop n samajhakar yah jis udehshh‍y ki siddhi ke liye mila hai, us udeshh‍y ko shighr se shighr praph‍t kar lena chahiye; kh‍yoanki yah sharir kshan bhangur hai, pata nahian, kis kshan isaka nash ho jay! isaliye savadhan ho jana chahiye. n ise sukharoop samajhakar vishayoan mean phansana chahiye aur n ise nith‍y samajhakar bhajan mean der hi karani chahiye. kadachianth apani asavadhani mean yah vh‍yarth hi nashh‍t ho gaya to phir siva pachhatane ke aur kuchh bhi upay hath mean nahian rah jayaga. shruti kahati hai –

    ih chedavedidath satyamasti n chedihavedinmahati viannasht:. (kenopanishad 2.5)

    ‘yadi is manushh‍y janh‍m mean paramatma ko jan liya to tab to thik hai aur yadi use is janh‍m mean nahian jana tab to b di bhari hani hai.’ isiliye bhagavanh kahate haian ki aise sharir ko pakar nith‍y niranh‍tar mera bhajan hi karo. kshanabhar bhi mujhe mat bhoolo.
  15. bhagavanh hi sarvashaktiman, sarvajn, sarvalok maheshh‍var, sarvatit, sarvamay, nirgun-sagun, nirakar sakar, saunh‍dary, madhury aur aishh‍vary ke samudr aur param premash‍varoop haian- is prakar bhagavanh ke gun, prabhav, tattv aur rahash‍y ka yatharth parichay ho jane se jab sadhak ko yah nishh‍chay ho jata hai ki ekamatr bhagavanh hi hamare param premash‍pad haian, tab jagat ki kisi bhi vash‍tu mean usaki jara bhi ramaniy buddhi nahian rah jati. aisi avash‍tha mean sansar ke kisi durlabh se durlabh bhog mean bhi usake liye koee akarshan nahian rahata. jab is prakar ki sthiti ho jati hai, tab sh‍vabhavik hi is lok aur paralok ki samash‍t vash‍tuoan se usaka man sarvatha hat jata hai, aur vah ananh‍y tatha param prem aur shraddha ke sath niranh‍tar bhagavanh ka hi chinh‍tan karata rahata hai. bhagavanh ka yah premapoorn chinh‍tan hi usake pranoan ka adhar hota hai, vah kshanamatr ki bhi unaki vish‍mriti ko sahan nahian kar sakata. jisaki aisi sthiti ho jati hai, usi ko ‘bhagavanh mean manavala’ kahate haian.
  16. bhagavanh hi paramagati haian, ve hi ekamatr bharta aur sh‍vami haian, ve hi param ashray aur param atmiy sanrakshak haian, aisa manakar unh‍hian par nirbhar ho jana, unake prath‍yek vidhan mean sada hi santushh‍t rahana, unh‍hian ki ajna ka anusaran karana, bhagavanh ke nam, roop, gun, prabhav, lila adi ke shravan, kirtan, sh‍maran adi mean apane man, buddhi aur indriyoan ko nimagh‍n rakhana aur unh‍hian ki prapti ke liye prath‍yek kary karana- isi ka nam ‘bhagavanh ka bhakt banana’ hai.
  17. bhagavan ke mandiroan mean jakar unake mangalamay vigrah ka yathavidhi poojan karana, suvidhanusar apane apane gharoan mean ishh‍taroop bhagavanh ki moorti sh‍thapit karake usaka vidhipoorvak shraddha aur prem ke sath poojan karana, apane hriday mean ya anh‍tariksh mean apane samane bhagavanh ki manasik moorti sh‍thapit karake usaki manas pooja karana, unake vachanoan ka, unaki lila bhoomika aur chitrapat adi ka adar sath‍kar karana, mata-pita, brahman, sadhu mahath‍ma aur gurujanoan ko tatha anh‍y samash‍t praniyoan ko bhagavanh‌ ka hi sh‍varoop samajhakar ya anh‍taryami roop se bhagavanh sabamean vh‍yaph‍t haian, aisa janakar sabaka yathayogh‍y poojan, adar sath‍kar karana aur tan man dhan se sabako yathayogh‍y sukh pahuanchane ki tatha sabaka hit karane ki yatharth cheshh‍tha karana- ye sabhi kriyaean ‘bhagavanh ki pooja’ hi kahalati haian.
  18. bhagavanh ke sakar ya nirakar roop ko, unaki moorti ko, chitrapat ko, unake charan, charanapaduka ya charanachihnoan ko, unake tattv, rahash‍y, prem, prabhav ka aur unaki madhur lilaoan ka vh‍yakhh‍yan karane vale sat shash‍troan ko, mata pita, brahman, guru, sadhu sant aur mahapurushoan ko tatha vishh‍v ke samash‍t praniyoan ko unh‍hian ka sh‍varoop samajhakar ya anh‍taryami roop se unakoan sabamean vh‍yaph‍t janakar shraddha bhakti sahit, man, vani aur sharir ke dvara yathayogh‍y pranam karana– yahi ‘bhagavanh ko namash‍kar karana’ hai.
  19. yahaan 'atma' shabh‍d man, buddhi aur indriyoan ke sahit sharir ka vachak hai; tatha in sabako uparyukh‍t prakar se bhagavanh mean laga dena hi ath‍ma ko usamean yukh‍t karana hai.
  20. is prakar sab kuchh bhagavanh ko samarpan kar dena aur bhagavanh ko hi param praph‍y, param gati, param ashray aur apana sarvash‍v samajhana ‘bhagavanh ke parayan’ hona hai.
  21. isi manushh‍y sharir mean hi bhagavanh ka prath‍yaksh sakshath‍kar ho jana, bhagavanh ko tattv se janakar unamean pravesh kar jana athava bhagavanh ke divh‍y lok mean jana, unake samip rahana athava unake jaise roop adi ko praph‍t kar lena- ye sabhi bhagavath‍prapti hi haian.
