jo vastu pahale bahut b de samuday ke adhin (ganatantr) rah chuki hai tatha jo ek ke bad doosare ki hoti gayi hai, vah sabaki sab tumhari bhi nahian hai; is bat ko bhali-bhaanti samajh lene par kisako baranbar chinta hogi. yah rajalakshmi hokar bhi nahianan rahati aur jinake pas nahianan hoti, unake pas a jati hai; parantu shok ki samarthy nahianan hai ki vah gayi huee sampatti ko lauta lave; atah kisi tarah bhi shok nahianan karana chahiye.

rajan! bataoan to sahi, tumhare pita aj kahaan hai? tumhare pitamah ab kahaan chale gaye? aj n to tum unhean dekhate ho aur n ve tumhean dekh pate haian. yah sharir anity hai, is bat ko tum dekhate aur samajhate ho, phir un poorvajoan ke liye kyoan nirantar shok karate ho? jara buddhi lagakar vichar karo, nishchay hi ek din tum bhi nahianan rahoge. nareshvar! maian, tum, tumhare mitr aur shatru ye ham sab log ek din nahianan raheange. yah sab kuchh nasht ho jayega. is samay jo bis ya tis varsh ki avastha vale manushy hai, ye sabhi sau varsh ke pahale hi mar jayeange. aisi dasha mean yadi manushy bahut b di sampatti se n bichhu d jay to bhi use yah mera nahianan hai aisa samajhakar apana kalyan avashy karana chahiye. jo vastu bhavishy mean milane vali hai, use yahi mane ki vah meri nahianan hai tatha jo milakar nasht ho chuki ho, usake vishay mean bhi yahi bhav rakhe ki vah meri nahian thi. jo aisa manate haian ki prarabdh hi sabase prabal hai, ve hi vidvan haian aur unhean satpurushoan ka ashray kaha gaya hai. jo dhanadhay nahianan hai, ve bhi jite haian aur koee rajy ka shasan bhi karate haian unamean se kuchh tumhare saman hi buddhi aur pauroosh se sampann hai tatha kuchh tumase badhakar bhi ho sakate haian; parantu ve bhi tumhari tarah shok nahianan karate. atah tum bhi shok n karo. kya tum buddhi aur purusharth mean un manushyoan se shreshth ya unake saman nahianan ho?

raja ne kaha- brahman! maian to yahi samajhata hooan ki vah sara rajy mujhe svatah anayas hi prapt ho gaya tha aur ab mahan shaktishali kal ne yah sab kuchh chhin liya hai. tapodhan! jaise jal ka pravah kisi vastu ko baha le jata hai, usi prakar kal ke veg se mere rajy ka apaharan ho gaya. usi ke phalasvaroop maian is shok ka anubhav karata hooan, aur jaise taise jo kuchh mil jata hai, usi se jivan nirvah karata hooan.

muni ne kaha- kosalarajakumar! yatharth tattv ka nishchay ho jane par manushy bhavishy aur bhootakal ki kisi bhi vastu ke liye shok nahianan karata. isaliye tum bhi sabhi padarthoan ke vishay mean usi tarah shokarahit ho jao. manushy pane yogy padarthoan ki hi kamana karata hai aprapy vastuoan ki kadapi nahianan. atah tumhean bhi jo kuchh prapt hai, usi ka upabhog karate hue aprapt vastu ke liye kabhi chintan nahianan karana chahiye. kosalanaresh! kya tum daivavash jo kuchh mil jay, usi se utane hi anand ke sath rah sakoge, jaise pahale rahate the. aj rajalakshmi se vanchit hone par bhi kya tum shuddh hriday se shok ko chho d chuke ho?
