yudhishthir ne poochha– pitamah! praniyoan ka virodh (ahit) n karate hue manushhyoan ko sham-damadi chhahoan gunoan ki prapti karane vala jo yog hai tatha jo bhog aur moksh donoan phaloan ko prapht karane vala dharm hai, vah mujhe batalaiye. dada ji! garhashthhyadharm aur yog dharm donoan ek doosare se door nahian haian, tathapi un donoan mean se shreshhth kaun hai? yah batane ki kripa karean. bhishhm ji ne kaha– rajan! garhashthhy aur yog dharm donoan mahan saubhaghy pradan karane vale haian, donoan athyanht dushhkar haian. donoan ke hi phal mahan haian aur donoan ka hi shreshhth purushoan ne acharan kiya hai. kunhtinanhdan! maian tumhhean in donoan dharmoan ki pramanikata ka pratipadan karooanga aur tumhhare dharm tatha arthavishayak sandeh ko mita dooanga. tum ekagrachitt hokar suno. yudhishthir! is vishay mean janakar log maharshi kapil aur gau ke bhitar avishht hue syoomarashmi ke sanvad roop ek prachin itihas ka udaharan diya karate haian, use suno. hamane suna hai ki poorvakal mean raja nahush ne ved ke anushasan ko prachin, sanatan evan nithy samajhakar apane ghar par aye hue atithi thvashhta ke liye ek gay ka alamhbh karane ka vichar kiya. us samay sattvagun mean sthit, sanyamaparayan, mitahari, udarachit aur jnanavan kapil muni ne thvashhta ke liye niyukht huee gay ko dekha. tab uttam, nirbhay, susthir, sathy, sadbhavayukht evan uthsahayukht buddhi ko prapht hue maharshi kapil ne keval ek bar itana hi kaha- 'ha ved! (jo tumhhare nam par log aisa anachar karate haian).' us samay syoomarashmi namak ek rrishi ne us gay ke bhitar pravesh karake kapilamuni se kaha- ‘aho! yadi vedoan ki pramanikata par apako sandeh hai to anhy dharm shashtroan ko kis adhar par pramanabhoot mana ja sakata hai? tapashvi, dhairyavan, ved evan vijnan roop drishti vale rrishimuni ved ko nithyajnanasamhpanhn parameshhvar ki ni:shhvasabhoot vani manate haian. jo trishhnarahit, udvegashoonhy, nishhkam tatha sab prakar ke aramhbhoan se rahit hai, us parameshhvar ke ni:shhvas se ni:srit vedoan ke vishay mean ap viparit vachan khyoan kah rahe haian?' kapil ne kaha- 'maian n to vedoan ki ninhda karata hooan aur n kabhi unhhean viparit bat batane vala batata hooan. prithak-prithak ashram valoan ke jo karm haian, un sabake uddeshy ek hi haian- aisa hamane sun rakha hai. sannhyasi paramapad ko prapht kar sakata hai, vanaprashth bhi vahian ja sakata hai. grihashth aur brahmachari– ye donoan bhi usi pad ko prapht ho sakate haian. charoan ashram hi devayan namak char sanatan marg mane gaye haian. inamean kaun b da hai kaun chhota; at: kaun prabal hai, kaun durbal– yah unake phaloan ko nimitt banakar bataya gaya hai. aisa janakar samasht karyoan ka aramhbh kare, yah vaidik mat hai. anhyatr yah siddhanhtabhoot shruti bhi suni jati hai ki karmoan ka aramhbh hi n kare. khyoanki yajn adi karyoan mean alamhbhan n karane par dosh ki prapti nahian hoti hai aur alamhbhan karane par mahanh dosh prapht hota hai. aisi sthiti mean ved vachanoan ke balabal ko janana athyanht kathin hai. |
