adhyay-2 : shlok- 20

kathopanishadh mean[1] isi tarah ka ek shlok aya hai –

n jayate mriyate va vipashchinn babhoov kashchith.
ajo nityah shashvatoayan purano n hanyate hanyamane sharire॥

is shlok ka arth tatha tatpary bhagavadgita ke shlok jaisa hi hai, kintu is shlok mean ek vishisht shabd vipashchith ka prayog hua hai jisaka arth vidvan ya jnanamay.

atma jnan se ya chetana se sadaiv poorn rahata hai. atah chetana hi atma ka lakshan hai. yadi koee hridayasth atma ko nahian khoj pata tab bhi vah atma upasthiti ko chetana ki upasthiti se jan sakata hai. kabhi-kabhi ham badaloan ya any karanoan se akash mean soory ko nahian dekh pate, kintu soory ka prakash sadaiv vidyaman rahata hai, atah hamean vishvas ho jata hai ki yah din ka samay hai. pratahkal jyoanhi akash mean tho da sa soory prakash dikhata hai to ham samajh jate haian ki soory akash mean hai. isi prakar chooanki shariroan mean, chahe pashu ke hoan ya purushoan ke, kuchh n kuchh chetana rahati hai, atah ham atma ki upasthiti ko jan lete haian. kintu jiv ki yah chetana parameshvar ki chetana se bhinn hai kyoanki param chetana to sarvajn hai – bhoot, vartaman tatha bhavishy ke jnan se poorn. vyashti jiv ki chetana vismaranashil hai. jab vah apane vastavik svaroop ko bhool jata hai, to use krishn ke upadeshoan se shiksha tatha prakash aur bodh prapt hota hai. kintu krishn vismaranashil jiv nahian haian. yadi ve aise hote to unake dvara diye gaye bhagavadgita ke upadesh vyarth hote.

atma ke do prakar hai – ek to anu-atma aur doosara vibhu-atma. kathopanishadh mean[2] isaki pushti is prakar huee hai –

anoraniyanmahato mahiyanatmasy jantornihito guhayamh.
tamakratuah pashyati vitashoko dhatuah prasadanmahimanamatmanah॥

“paramatma tatha anu-atma donoan sharir roopi usi vriksh mean jiv ke hriday mean vidyaman haian aur inamean se jo samast ichchhaoan tatha shokoan se mukt ho chooka hai vahi bhagavatkripa se atma ki mahima ko samajh sakata hai.” krishn paramatma ke bhi udgam haian jaisa ki agale adhyayoan mean bataya jayega aur arjun anu-atma ke saman hai jo apane vastavik svaroop ko bhool gaya hai. atah use krishn dvara ya unake pramanik pratinidhi guru dvara prabuddh kiye jane ki avashyakata hai.
