jaise ashvamegh yajn ke ant mean avabhrithasnan karane vale manushy paparahit evan pavitr ho jate haianan, usi prakar yuddh mean shastroan dvara mare gaye vir apane pap nasht ho jane ke karan pavitr ho jate haianan. desh-kal ki paristhiti ke karan kabhi adharm to dharm ho jata haian aur dharm adharmaroop mean parinat ho jata haian kyoanki vah vaisa hi desh kal haian. sabake prati maitri ka bhav rakhane vale manushy bhi( doosaroan ki raksha ke liye kisi dusht ke prati) krooratapoorn bartav karake uttam svargalok par adhikar prapt kar lete haian tatha dharmatma purush kisi ki raksha ke liye pap (hiansa adi) karate hue bhi param gati ko prapt ho jate haian. apani raksha ke liye, any varnoan mean yadi koee buraee a rahi ho to use rokane ke liye tatha durdant dushtoan ka daman karane ke liye- in tin avasaroan par brahman bhi shastr grahan kare to use dosh nahian lagata. yudhishthir ne poochha- pitamah! nripashreshth! yadi dakuoan ka dal uttarotar badh raha ho, samaj mean varnasankarata phail rahi ho aur kshatriy ke prajapalanaroopi kary ke liye samast varnoan ke log koee upay n dhooandh pate hoan, us avastha mean yadi koee balavan brahman, vaishy athava shoodr dharm ki raksha ke nimit dand dharan karake luteroan ke hath se praja ko bacha le to vah rajashasan ka kary kar sakata haian ya nahian. athava use is kary se rokana chahiye ya nahian?

mera to mat haian ki kshatriy se bhinn varn ke logoan ko bhi aise avasaroan par avashy shastr uthana chahiye. bhishmaji ne kaha- beta! jo apar sankat se par laga de, nauka ke abhav mean doobate hue ko jo nav banakar sahara de, vah shoodr ho ya koee any, sarvatha samman ke yogy hai. dakuo se pi dit hoekar kasht pate hue anath manushy gan jisaki sharan mean jakar sukhapoorvak rah sakean, usi ko apane bandhu-bandhav ke saman manakar badi़ prasannata ke sath usaka adar-satkar karana unake liye uchit hai; kyoanki kurunandan! jo nirbhay hokar baranbar doosaroan ka sakant nivaran kar sake, vahi rajochit samman pane ke yogy haian. jo bojh n dho sakean, aise bailoan se kya labh? jo doodh n de, aisi gay kis kam ki? jo baanjh ho, aisi stri kya prayojan haian? aur jo raksha n kar sake, aise raja se kya labh haian? kuntinandan! jaise kath ka hathi, chamade़ ka hiran, hij da manushy, oosar khet tatha varsha n karane vala badal-ye sab ke sab vyarth haianan ,usi prakar anapadh brahman tatha raksha n karane vala raja bhi sarvatha nirarthak haianan. jo sada satpurushoan ki raksha kare tatha dushtoan ko dand de kar dushkarm karane se roke, use hi raja banana chahiye; kyoanki usi ke dvara yah sampoorn jagat surakshit hota hai.
