vaishamhpayan ji kahate hai- janamejay! raja drupad us brahman ko kanhya dena chahate haian, yah janakar us samay rajaoan ko b da krodh hua aur ve ek doosare ko dekhakar tatha samip akar is prakar kahane lage- ‘(aho! dekho to sahi,) yah raja drupad (yahaan) ekatr hue ham logoan ko tinake ki tarah tuchhchh samajhakar aur hamara ulhlanghan karake yuvatiyoan mean shreshhth apani kanhya ka vivah ek brahman ke sath karana chahata hai. yah vriksh lagakar ab phal lagane ke samay use katakar gira raha hai. at: ham log is durathma ko mar dalean; khyoanki yah hamean kuchh nahian samajh raha hai. yah raja drupad gunoan ke karan hamase vriddhochit samhman pane ka adhikari bhi nahian hai, rajaoan se dvesh karane vale is durachari ko putrasahit mar dalean. pahale to isane ham sab rajaoan ko bulakar sathkar kiya, uthtam gunayukht bhojan karaya aur aisa karane ke bad yah hamara apaman kar raha hai. devataoan ke samooh ki bhaanti uthtam niti se sushobhit rajaoan ke is samuday mean khya isane kisi bhi naresh ko apani putri ke yoghy nahian dekha hai? shvayanvar mean kanhya dvara varan prapht karane ka adhikar hi brahmanoan ko nahian hai.
