sharir ke bhitar jatharanal tatha pran–apan adi vayuoan ki sthiti adi ke varnan bharadvaj ne poochha- prabhoan! sharir ke bhitar rahane vali agni parthiv dhatu (paanchabhautik deh) ka ashray lekar kaise rahati hai aur vayu bhi usi parthiv dhatu ka ashray lekar avakash–vishesh ke dvara deh ko kaise cheshhtashil banati hai? bhrigu ne kaha- brahman! nishhpap maharshe! maian tumase vayu ki gati ka varnan karata hooan. prabal vayu praniyoan ke shariroan ko kis prakar cheshhtashil banati hai? yah batata hooan. atma mastak ke randhrasthan mean sthit hokar sampoorn sharir ki raksha karata hai aur pran mastak tatha agni donoan mean sthit hokar sharir ko cheshhtashil banata hai. vah pran se sanyukht atma hi jiv hai, vahi sampoorn bhootoan ka atma sanatan purush hai. vahi man, buddhi, aanhakar, paanchoan bhoot aur vishayaroop ho raha hai. is prakar (jivatma se sanyukht hue) pran ke dvara sharir ke bhitar ke samast vibhag tatha indriy adi sare bahm aang parichalit hote haian. tatpashhchat saman vayu ke roop se parinat ho pran hi apani–apani gati ke ashrit sharir ka sanchalak hota hai. apan vayu jatharanal, mootrashay aur guda ka ashray le mal evan mootr ko nikalata hua oopar se niche ko ghoomata rahata hai. jis ek hi vayu ki prasatn, karm aur bal tinoan mean pravriti hoti hai, use adhhyatmatattv ke janane vale purushoan ne udan kaha hai. jo manushhyoan ke shariroan mean aur unaki samast sandhiyoan mean bhi vyapht hai, us vayu ko ‘vyan’ kahate haian. sharir ke samast dhatuoan mean vyapht jo agni hai, vah saman vayu dvara sanchalit hoti hai. vah saman vayu hi sharir gat rasoan, dhatuoan (indriyoan) aur doshoan (kaph adi) ka sanchalan karati huee sampoorn sharir mean sthit hai. apan aur pran ke madhhyabhag (nabhi) mean pran aur apan donoan ka ashray lekar sthit hua jataranal khaye hue ann ko bhalibhaanti pachata hai. mukh se lekar payu (guda) tak jo mahan strot (pran ke pravahit hone ka marg) hai, vahi antim chhor mean guda ke nam se prasiddh hai. usi mahan strot se dehadhariyoan ke anhy sabhi chhote–chhote strot (pranoan ke sancharan ke marg athava nadi samuday) prakat hote haian. un strotoan dvara sare aangoan mean pranoan ka sambandh ya prasar hone se usake sath rahane vale jatharanal ka bhi sambandh ya prasar ho jata hai. praniyoan ke sharir mean jo garmi ka anubhav hota hai, use us jatharanal ka hi tap samajhana chahiye. vahi dehadhariyoan ke khaye hue ann ko pachata hai. agni ke veg se bahata hua pran guda ke nikat jakar pratihat ho jata hai; phir oopar ki or lautakar samipavarti agni ko bhi oopar utha deta hai. nabhi se niche pakhvashay aur oopar amashay sthit hai tatha nabhike madhhyabhag mean sharirasambandhi sabhi pran sthit haian. ve samast pran hriday se idhar–udhar aur oopar–niche prasthan karate haian; isaliye das[1] pranoan ke parichalit hokar sari na diyaan ann ka ras vahan karati haian. yah mukh se lekar gudatak ka jo mahan strot hai, vah yogiyoan ka marg hai. usase ve yogi paramapad ko prapht hote haian, jinhoanne sare kleshoan ko jit liya hai, jo sarvatr samadarshi aur dhir haian tatha jin mahatmaoan ne sushumhna na di ke dvara mastak mean phuanchakar vahian apane–apako sthit kar diya hai. praniyoan ke pran, apana adi sabhi vayuoan mean sthapit huee jatharagni sharir mean hi rahakar sada agni–kunhd mean rakhi huee agni ki bhaanti prajhvalit hoti rahati hai. is prakar shrimahabharat shantiparv ke antargat mokshadharmaparv mean ek sau pachasivaan adhhyay poora hua.
