kyoanki poorvakrit prarabdh karm prabhav dalane vala n hota to manushy jis-jis prayojan ke abhipray se karm karata, vah sab saphal hi ho jata. atah jo log arthasiddhi tatha anarth ki prapti mean daiv, hath aur svabhav-in tinoan ko karan nahian samajhate, ve vaise hi haian, jaise ki sadharan ajn log hote haian. kiantu manushy ka sianddhant hai ki karm karana hi chahiye, jo bilkul karm chho dakar nishchesht ho baithe rahata hai, vah purush parabhav ko prapt hota hai. (isaliye mera to kahana yah hai ki) maharaj yudhishthir! karm karane vale purush ko yahaan prayah phal ki siddhi prapt hoti hi hai. parantu jo alasi hai, jisake thik-thik kartavy ka palan nahian ho pata, use kabhi phal ki siddhi nahian prapt hoti. yadi karm karane par bhi phal ki utpatti n ho to koee-n-koee karan hai, aisa manakar prayashchit (usake dosh ke samadhan) par drishti dale.

rajendr! karm ki saangopaang kar lene par karta urrin (nirdosh) ho jata hai. jo manushy alasy ke vash mean p dakar sota rahata hai, use daridrata prapt hoti hai aur karyakushal manav nishchay hi abhisht phal pakar aishvary ka upabhog karata hai. karm ka phal hoga ya nahian, is sanshay mean p de hue manushy arthasiddhi se vanchit rah jate haian aur jo sanshayarahit haian, unhean siddhi prapt hoti hai. karmaparayan aur sanshayarahit dhir manushy nishchay hi kahian birale dekhe jate haian. is samay ham logoan par rajyapaharanaroop bhari vipadh a p di hai, yadi ap karm (purusharth) mean tatparata se lag jayean to nishchay hi yah apatti tal sakati hai athava yadi kary ki siddhi hi ho jaye, to vah apake, bhimasen aur arjun ke sath nakul-sahadev ke liye bhi vishesh gaurav ki bat hogi.

karmo ke kar lene par ant mean karta ko jaisa phal milata hai, usake anusar hi yah jana ja sakata hai ki doosaroan ka karm saphal hua hai ya hamara. kisan hal se prithvi ko chirakar usamean bij bota hai aur phir chupachap baitha rahata hai; kyoanki use saphal banane mean megh karan haian. yadi vrishti ne anugrah nahian kiya to usamean kisan ka koee dosh nahian hai. vah kisan man-hi-man yah sochata hai ki doosare log jotane-bone ka jo saphal kary jaise karate haian, vah sab maianne bhi kiya hai. us dasha mean yadi mujhe aisa pratikool phal mila to isamean mera koee aparadh nahian hai-aisa vichar karake us asaphalata ke liye vah buddhimanh kisan apani nianda nahian karata.

bharat! purusharth karane par yadi apane ko siddhi n prapt ho to is bat ko lekar man-hi-man khinn nahian hona chahiye; kyoanki phal ki siddhi mean purusharth ke siva do aur bhi karan haian-prarabdh aur eeshvar kripa. maharaj! kary mean siddhi prapt hogi ya asiddhi, aisa sandeh man mean lekar ap karm mean pravritt hi n hoan, yah uchit nahian haian; kyoanki bahut-se karan ekatr hone par hi karm mean saphalata milati hai. karmoan mean kisi aang ki kami rah jane par tho da phal ho sakata hai. yah bhi sambhav hai ki phal ho hi nahian. parantu karm ka arambh hi n kiya jaye, tab to n kahian phal dikhayi dega aur n karta ka koee gun (shaury adi) hi drishtigochar hoga.
