yudhishthir ne kaha- bhagavan! apaki kripa se maianne sab dharmoan ke sangrah ka evan bhojan ke yoghy aur bhojan ke ayoghy anhn ka vishay bhi sun liya. ab kripa karake apaddharm ka varnan kijiye. shribhagavan bole- rajanh! jab desh mean akal p da ho, rashhtr ke oopar koee apatti ayi ho, janhm ya mrithyu ka sootak ho tatha k di dhoop mean rashta chalana p da ho aur in sab karanoan se niyam ka nirvah n ho sake tatha door ka marg tai karane ke karan vishesh thakavat a gayi ho, us avashtha mean brahman, kshatriy aur vaishhy ke n milane par shoodr se bhi jivan-nirvah ke liye tho da-sa kachhcha anhn liya ja sakata hai. rogi, dukhi, pi dit aur bhookha brahman yadi vidhi-vidhan ke bina bhojan kar le to bhi use prayashhchit nahian lagata. jal, mool, ghi, doodh, havi, brahman ki ichhchha poorn karana, guru ki ajna ka palan aur oshadhi- in athoan ke sevan se vrat ka bhang nahian hota. jo manushhy vidhipoorvak prayashhchit karane mean asamarth ho, vah vidvanoan ke vachan se tatha dan ke dvara bhi shuddh ho sakata hai. paradesh mean rahane vala purush yadi kuchh kal ke liye ghar ave to vah rritukal mean tatha usase bhinhn samay mean bhi, rat ya din mean bhi apani shtri ke sath samagam karane par prayashhchit ka bhagi nahian hota. yudhishthir ne poochha- uttam vrat ka palan karane vale deveshhvar! kaise brahman prashansa ke yoghy hote haian aur kaise ninhda ke yoghy? tatha ashhtaka-shraddh ka kaun-sa samay hai? yah mujhe bataiye. shribhagavan ne kaha- rajan! uttam kul mean uthpanhn, shashtrokht karmoan ka anushhthan karane vale, vidvan, dayalu, shrisamhpanhn, saral aur sathyavadi- ye sabhi brahman supatr (prashansa ke yoghy) mane jate haian. ye age ke asan par baithakar sabase pahale bhojan karane ke adhikari haian tatha us pankhti mean jitane log baithe hote haian, un sabako ye apane darshan matr se pavitr kar dete haian. jo shreshhth brahman mujhamean man lagane vale aur mere sharanagat bhakht hoan, unhhean padktipavan samajho. ve vishesharoop se pooja karane ke yoghy haian. rajan! ab ninhda ke yoghy brahmanoan ka varnan suno. jo brahman sansar mean kapatapoorn bartav karate haian, ve vedoan ke paragami vidvan hone par bhi papachari hi mane jate haian. jo aghnihotr aur shvadhhyay n karata ho, sada dan lene ki hi ruchi rakhata ho aur jahaan kahian bhi bhojan kar leta ho, usako brahmanajati ka kalank samajhana chahie. jo agnihotr aur svadhyay n karata ho, sada dan lene ki ruchi rakhata ho aur jahaan kahian bhi bhojan kar leta hai, usako brahman jati ka kalank samajhana chahiye. nareshhvar! jisaka sharir maranashauch ka anhn khakar mota hua ho, jo shoodr ka anhn bhojan karata ho aur shoodr ke hi anhn ke ras se pushht hua ho, us brahman ki kis prakar gati hoti hai, maian nahian janata; khyoanki pratidin shvadhhyay, jap aur hom karane par bhi usaki uttam gati nahian hoti. jo brahman pratidin aghnihotr karane par bhi shoodr ke anhn se bacha n rahata ho, usake athma, vedadhhyan aur tinoan aghni- in paanchoan ka nash ho jata hai. |
