batachit poori hone par shiloanchhavritti vale buddhiman grihasth brahman ne siddh ko sambodhit karake yatnapoorvak vahi prashn poochha, jo tum mujhase poochh rahe ho. shilavritti vale brahman ne poochha- brahman! kaun-se desh, kaun-se janapad, kaun-kaun ashram, kaun-se parvat aur kaun-kaun-si nadiyaan puny ki drishti se sarvashreshth samajhane yogy haian? yah batane ki kripa karean.

siddh ne kaha- brahman! ve hi desh, janapad, ashram aur parvat puny ki drishti se sarvashreshth haian, jinake bich se hokar saritaoan mean uth‍tam bhagirathi ganga bahati hai. ganga ji ka sevan karane se jiv jis uth‍tam gati ko prapt karata hai, use vah tapasya, brahmachary, yajn athava tyag se bhi nahian pa sakata. jin dehadhariyoan ke sharir ganga ji ke jal se bhigate haian athava marane par jinaki haddiyaan ganga ji mean dali jati haian, ve kabhi svarg se niche nahian girate. vipravar! jin dehadhariyoan ke sampoorn kary gangajal se hi sampann hote haian, ve manav marane ke bad prithvi ka nivas chho dakar svarg mean virajaman hote haian. jo manushy jivan ki pahali avastha mean papakarm karake bhi pichhe ganga ji ka sevan karane lagate haian, ve bhi uth‍tam gati ko hi prapt hote haian. ganga ji ke pavitr jal se snan karake jinaka antahkaran shuddh ho gaya hai, un purushoan ke puny ki jaisi vriddhi hoti hai; vaisi saik doan yajn karane se bhi nahian ho sakati. manushy ki haddi jitane samay tak ganga ji ke jal mean p di rahati hai, utane hazar varshoan tak vah svargalok mean pratishthit hota hai. jaise soory udayakal mean ghane andhakar ko vidirn karake prakashit hote haian, usi prakar gangajal mean snan karane vala purush apane papoan ko nasht karake sushobhit hota hai.

jaise bina chaandani ki rat aur bina phooloan ke vriksh shobha nahian pate, usi prakar ganga ji ke kalyanamay jal se vanchit hue desh aur dishaean bhi shobha evan saubhagy hin haian. jaise dharm aur jnan se rahit hone par sampoorn varnoan aur ashramoan ki shobha nahian hoti hai tatha jaise somaras ke bina yajn sushobhit nahian hote, usi prakar ganga ke bina jagat ki shobha nahian hai. jaise soory ke bina akash, parvatoan ke bina prithvi aur vayu ke bina antariksh ki shobha nahian hoti, usi prakar jo desh aur dishaean ganga ji se rahit haian, unaki bhi shobha nahian hoti- isamean sanshay nahian hai. tinoan lokoan mean jo koee bhi prani haian, un sabako ganga ji ke shubh jal se tarpan karane par ve sab param tripti labh karate haian. jo manushy soory ki kiranoan se tape hue gangajal ka pan karata hai, usaka vah jalapan gay ke gobar se nikale hue jau ki lapsi khane se adhik pavitrakarak hai. jo sharir ko shuddh karane vale ek sahasr chandrayan vratoan ka anushthan karata hai aur jo keval gangajal pita hai, ve donoan saman hi haian athava yah bhi ho sakata hai ki donoan saman n hoan (gangajal pine vala badh jaye). jo purush ek hazar yugoan tak ek pair se kh da hokar tapasya karata hai aur jo ek mas tak ganga tat par nivas karata hai, ve donoan saman ho sakate haian athava yah bhi sambhav hai ki saman n hoan.
