netr adi indriyaan darshan adi karyoan ke liye haian. man sanshay karata hai aur buddhi us vishay ka thik-thik nishchay karane ke liye hai. kshetrajn (ath‍ma) ko sakshi bataya jata hai. bharatananh‍dan! sattv, raj, tam, kal aur karm– in paanch gunoan dvara buddhi bar-bar vibhinh‍n vishayoan ki or le jayi jati hai. buddhi manasahit samh‍poorn indriyoan ka sanchalan karati hai. yadi buddhi n ho to ye gun–indriy adi kaise koee kary kar sakata hai. buddhi jisake dvara dekhati hai, us indriy ka nam drishti ya netr hai. vahi apane vrittivishesh ke dvara jab sunane lagati hai, tab shrot kahalati hai. ganh‍dh ko grahan karate samay vah ghran ban jati hai. rasash‍vadan karate samay rasana kahalati hai aur sh‍parshoan ka anubhav karate samay vahi sh‍parshendriy (th‍vacha) nam dharan karati hai. is prakar buddhi bar-bar vikrit hoti hai. jab vah kuchh prarthana (yachana) karati hai, tab man ban jati hai.

buddhi ke ye jo prithak-prithak paanch adhishh‍than haian, inh‍hian ko indriy kahate haian. in indriyoan ke dooshit hone par buddhi bhi dooshit ho jati hai. sakshi ath‍ma ke ashrit rahane vali buddhi sattvik, rajas aur tamas tin bhavoan mean (jo sukh-du:kh aur moharoop haian) sthit hoti haian, isiliye kabhi (sattvagun ka udrek hone par) use ananh‍d praph‍t hota hai aur kabhi (rajogun ki adhikata hone par) vah du:kh-shok ka anubhav karati hai. kabhi (tamogun ki adhikata se mohachh‍chhann hone par) usaka n sukh se sanyog hota hai n du:kh se (vah nidra aur alash‍y adi mean magh‍n rahati hai). is prakar yah bhavatmika buddhi in tin bhavoan ka anusaran karati hai. jaise saritaoan ka sh‍vami samudr uttal tarangoan se yukh‍t hone par bhi apani tat-bhoomika ka ulh‍langhan nahian karata hai usi prakar sattvik adi bhavoan se yukh‍t buddhi tinoan gunoan ka ulh‍langhan nahian karati.

bhavanamay man mean hi chakh‍kar lagati rahati hai. rajogun ki pravriti hoti hai tab buddhi rajasik bhav ka anusaran karati hai. yadi purush mean kisi prakar adhik harsh, priti, ananh‍d, sukh aur chit mean shanti upalabh‍dhh‍a ho to ye sattvik gun hai. jab sharir ya man mean kisi karan se ya akaran hi dah, shok, santap, apoornata (lobh-liph‍sa) aur asahanashilata ke bhav dikhayi dete hoan to unh‍hean rajogun ke chihn samajhana chahiye. yadi kisi prakar avidya, rag, moh, pramad, sh‍tabh‍dhata, bhay, daridrata, dinata, pramoh (moorchh‍chha), sh‍vaph‍n, nidra aur alash‍y adi dosh a gherate hoan to unh‍hean tamogun ke hi vividh roop jane. aisi sthiti mean sharir athava man ke bhitar yadi koee prasanh‍nata ka bhav ho to vah sattvik bhav hai, aisa vichar karana chahiye. jab apane liye aprasanh‍nata ka hetu aur du:khayukh‍t bhav anubhav mean aye tab rajogun ki pravriti huee hai– aisa apane man mean vichar kare tatha vaise kisi kary ka aramh‍bh n karake usaki or se apana dhh‍yan hata lean. isi prakar sharir ya man mean jo mohayukh‍t bhav atarkit ya avijnat roop se upasthit ho gaya ho, usake vishay mean yahi nishh‍chay kare ki yah tamogun hai.
