he arjun! too aisa sajh ki sampoorn bhoot in donoan prakritiyoan se hi utpann hone vale haian[1] aur maian sampoorn jagath ka prabhav tatha pralay huan arthat sampoorn jagath ka mool karan hooan.[2] he dhananjay! mujhase mitr doosara koee bhi param karan nahian hai. yah sampoorn jagath sootr ke muniyoan ke sahash mujhamean guantha hua hai.[3] he arjun! maian jal mean ras hooan, chandrama aur soory me prakash hooan, sampoorn vedoan mean oankar hooan, akash mean shabd aur purush mean purushatv hooan. maian prithvi mean pavitr[4] gandh aur agni mean tej hooan tatha sampoorn bhootoan mean unaka jivan hooan aur tapasviyoan mean tap hooan. he arjun! too sampoorn bhootoan ko sanatan bij mujhako hi jan.[5] maian buddhimanoan ki buddhi aur tapasviyoan ka tej hooan.[6]

he bharatashreshth! maian balavanoan ka asakti aur kamanaoan se rahit bal arthat samarthy hooan aur sab bhootoan mean dharm ke anukool arthat shastr ke alukool kam hooan.[7]

sambandh-is prakar pradhan-pradhan vastuoan mean sararoop se apani vyapakata batalate hue bhagavanh ne prakarantar se samast jagath mean apani sarvavyapakata aur sarvasvaroopata siddh kar di, ab apane-ko hi trigunamay jagat ka mool karan batalakar is prasang ka upansahar karate haian- aur bhi jo sattvagun se utpann hone vale bhav haian aur jo rajogun se tatha tamogun se hone vale bhav haian, un sabako too 'mujhase hi hone vale haian'[8] aisa jan. parantu vastav mean unamean maian aur ve mujhamean nahian haian.[9]

sambandh- bhagavanh ne yah dikhalaya ki samast jagath mera hi svarooph hai aur mujhase hi vyapt hai. yahaan yah jijnasa hoti hai ki is prakar sarvatr paripoorn aur atyant samip hone par bhi log bhagavan ko kyoan nahian pahachanate; is par bhagavan kahate haian- gunoan ke karyaroop sattvik, rajas aur tamas-in tinoan prakar ke bhavoan se yah sab sansar- pranisamuday mohit ho raha hai., isiliye in tinoan gunoan se pare mujh avinashi ko nahian janata[10]

  1. achar aur char jitane bhi chhote-b de sajiv prani haian, un sabhi sajiv praniyoan ki utpatti, sthiti aur vriddhi in apara j d aur para chetan prakritiyoan ke sanyog se hi hoti hai. isaliye unaki utpatti ke ye hi donoan karan hai. yahi bat gita ke terahavean adhyay chhabbisavean shlok mean kshetr-kshetrajn ke nam se kahi gayi hai.
  2. jaise badal akash se utpann hote haian. akash mean rahate haian aur akash mean hi vilin ho jate haian tatha akash hi unaka ekamatr karan aur adhar hai, vaise hi yah sara vishv bhagavan se hi utpann hota hai., bhagavan mean hi sthit hai aur bhagavanh mean hi vilin ho jata hai. bhagavanh hi isake ekamatr mahan karan aur param adhar haian.
  3. jaise soot ki dori mean usi soot ki gathean lagakar unhean maniye manakar mala bana letean haian. aur jaise us dori mean aur gaanthoan ke maniyoan mean sarvatr keval soot hi vyapt rahata hai, usi prakar yah samast sansar bhagavanh mean guntha hua hai. bhagavanh hi sab mean otaprot haian.
  4. shabd, sparsh roop, ras evan gandh se is prasang mean inake karan roop tanmatraoan ko grahan hai. is bat ko spasht karane ke liye unake sath pavitr shabd jo da gaya hai.
  5. jo sada se ho tatha kabhi nasht n ho, use sanatan kahate haian. bhagavanh hi samast charachar bhoot-praniyoan ke param adhar haian. aur unhian se sabaki utpapti hoti hai. atev ve hi sabake sanatan bij haian.
  6. sampoorn padarthoan ka nishchay karane vali aur man-indriyoan ko apane shasan mean rakhakar unaka sanchalan karane vali antahkaran ki jo parishuddh bodhamayi shakti hai., use buddhi kahate hai; jisamean vah buddhi adhik hoti hai., use buddhiman kahate haian; yah buddhishakti bhagavanh ki apara prakriti ka hi aandh hai. isi prakar sab logoan par prabhav dalane vali shakti vishesh ka nam tejash hai; yah tejastattv jisamean vishesh hota hai. use log tejasvi kahate haian. yah tej bhi bhagavanh ki apara prakriti ka hi ek aansh hai, isaliye bhagavanh ne in donoan ko apana svaroop batalaya hai.
  7. jis bal mean kamana, rag, aanhakar tatha krodhadi ka sanyog hai, us bal ka varnan asuri sampada mean kiya gaya hai. (gita 16.18), atah vah to asur bal hai aur usake tyagane ki bat kahi hai (gita 18.53). isi prakar dharm-viruddh kam bhi asuri sampada ka pradhan gun hone se samast anarthoan ka mool (gita 3.37), narak ka dvar aur tyajy hai (gita 16.21). kam-ragayukt bal se aur dharmaviruddh kam se vilakshan, viruddh, bal aur vishuddh kam hi bhagavanh ka svaroop hai.
  8. man, buddhi, aanhakar, inidray, indriyoan ke vishay, tanmatraean, mahabhoot aur samast gun-avagun tatha karm adi jitane bhi bhav haian, sabhi sattvik, rajas aur tamas bhavoan ke antargat haian. in samast padarthoan ka vikas aur vistar bhagavanh ki apara prakriti se hota hai aur vah prakriti bhagavanh ki hai, atah bhagavanh se bhinn nahian hai, unhian ke lila-sanket se prakriti dvara sabaka srijan, vistar aur upasanhar hota rahata hai- is prakar jan lena hi un sabako bhagavanh se hone vale samajhana hai.
  9. jaise akash mean utpann hone vale badaloan ka karan aur adhar akash hai, parantu akash unase sarvatha nirlipt hai. badal akash mean sada nahian rahate aur anity hone se vastutah unaki sthir satta bhi nahian hai; par akash badaloan ke n rahane par bhi sada rahata hai. jahaan badal nahian hai, vahaan bhi akash to hai hi; vah badaloan ke ashrit nahian hai. vastutah badal bhi akash se bhinn nahian hai, usi mean usase utpann hote haian. atev yatharth mean badaloan ki bhinn satta n hone se akash kisi samay bhi badaloan mean nahian hai. vah to sada apane ap mean hi sthit hai. isi prakar yadyapi bhagavanh bhi samast trigunamay bhavoan ke karan aur adhar hai, tathapi vastav mean ve gun bhagavanh mean nahian hai aur bhagavanh unamean nahian hai. bhagavanh to sarvatha aur sarvada gunatit haian tatha nity apane-ap mean hi sthit haian.
  10. jagat ke samast dehabhimani prani-yahaan tak ki manushy bhi apane-apane svabhav, prakriti aur vichar ke anusar, anity aur duahkhapoorn in trigunamay bhavoan ki nity aur sukh ke hetu samajhakar inaki kalpit ramaniyama aur sukh-roopata ki keval oopar se hi dikhane vali chamar-damar mean jivan ke param karan unaki vivekadrishti itani sthool ho gayi hai ki ve vishayoan ke sangrah karane aur bhogane ke siva jivan ka any koee kartavy ya lakshy hi nahian samajhate. isaliye ve in sabase sarvatha atit, avinashi paramatma ko nahian jan sakate.
