liang hi asuri nam ka pashchimi dvar hai, striprasang gramak nam ka desh hai aur liang mean rahane vala upasthendriy durmad nam ka mitr hai. guda nirhrriti nam ka pashchimi dvar hai. narak vaishas nam ka desh hai aur guda mean sthit payu-indriy lubdhak nam ka mitr hai. inake siva do purush aandhe bataye gaye the, unaka rahasy bhi suno. ve hath aur paanv haian; inhian ki sahayata se jiv kramashah sab kam karata aur jahaan-tahaan jata hai. hriday antahpur hai, usamean rahane vala man hi vishoochi (vishoochin) nam ka pradhan sevak hai. jiv us man ke sattvadi gunoan ke karan hi prasannata, harsharoop vikar athava moh ko prapt hota hai.

buddhi (rajamahishi puranjani) jis-jis prakar svapnavastha mean vikar ko prapt hoti hai aur jagrath avastha mean indriyadi ko vikrit karati hai, usake gunoan se lipt hokar atma (jiv) bhi usi-usi roop mean usaki vrittiyoan ka anukaran karane ko badhy hota hai-yadyapi vastutah vah unaka nirvikar sakshimatr hi hai. sharir hi rath hai. usamean jnanendriyaroop paanch gho de jute hue haian. dekhane mean sanvatsararoop kal ke saman hi usaka apratihat veg hai, vastav mean vah gatihin hai. puny aur pap-ye do prakar ke karm hi usake pahiye haian; tin gan dhvaja haian, paanch pran doriyaan haian. man bagador hai, buddhi sarathi hai, hriday baithane ka sthan hai, sukh-duahkhadi dvand jue haian, indriyoan ke paanch vishay usamean rakhe hue ayudh haian aur tvacha adi sat dhatuean usake avaran haian. paanch karmendriyaan usaki paanch prakar ki gati haian. is rath par chadhakar rathiroop yah jiv mrigatrishna ke saman mithya vishayoan ki or dau data hai. gyarah indriyaan usaki sena haian tatha paanch jnanendriyoan ke dvara un-un indriyoan ke vishayoan ko anyayapoorvak grahan karana hi usaka shikar khelana hai.

jisake dvara kal ka jnan hota hai, vah sanvatsar hi chandaveg namak gandharvaraj hai. usake adhin jo tin sau sath gandharv bataye gaye the, ve din haian aur tin-tin sau sath gandharviyaan ratri haian. ye bari-bari se chakkar lagate hue manushy ki ayu ko harate rahate haian. vriddhavastha hi sakshath kalakanya hai, use koee bhi purush pasand nahian karata. tab mrityuroop yavanaraj ne lok ka sanhar karane ke liye use bahin manakar svikar kar liya. adhi (manasik klesh) aur vyadhi (rogadi sharirik kasht) hi is yavanaraj ke paidal chalane vale sainik haian tatha praniyoan ko pi da pahuanchakar shighr hi mrityu ke mukh mean le jane vala shit aur ushn do prakar ka jvar hi prajvar nam ka usaka bhaee hai.

is prakar yah dehabhimani jiv ajnan se achchhadit hokar anek prakar ke adhibhautik, adhyatmik aur adhidaivik kasht bhogata hua sau varsh tak manushy sharir mean p da rahata hai. vastutah to vah nirgun hai, kintu pran, indriy aur man ke dharmoan ko apane mean aropit kar maian-merepan ke abhiman se bandhakar kshudr vishayoan ka chintan karata hua, tarah-tarah ke karm karata rahata hai. yah yadyapi svayanprakash hai, tathapi jab tak sabake paramaguru atmasvaroop shribhagavanh ke svaroop ko nahian janata, tab tak prakriti ke gunoan mean hi bandha rahata hai. un gunoan ka abhimani hone se vah vivash hokar sattvik, rajas aur tamas karm karata hai tatha un karmoan ke anusar bhinn-bhinn yoniyoan mean janm leta hai.
