tattvoan ki sankhya aur purush-prakriti-vivek

uddhav ji ne kaha- 'prabho! vishveshvar! rrishiyoan ne tattvoan ki sankhya kitani batalayi hai? apane to abhi (unnisavean adhyay mean) nau, gyarah, paanch aur tin arthath kul atthaees tattv ginaye haian. yah to ham sun chuke haian. kintu kuchh log chhabbis tattv batalate haian to kuchh pachis; koee sat, nau athava chhah svikar karate haian, koee char batalate haian to koee gyarah. isi prakar kinhian-kinhian rrishi-muniyoan ke mat mean unaki sankhya satrah hai, koee solah aur koee terah batalate haian. sanatan shrikrishn! rrishi-muni itani bhinn sankhyaean kis abhipray se batalate haian? ap kripa karake hamean batalaiye.'

bhagavan shrikrishn ne kaha- uddhav ji! vedajn brahman is vishay mean jo kuchh kahate haian, vah sabhi thik hai; kyoanki sabhi tattv sab mean antarbhoot haian. meri maya ko svikar karake kya kahana asambhav hai? ‘jaisa tum kahate ho, vah thik nahian hai, jo maian kahata hooan, vahi yatharth hai’-is prakar jagath ke karan ke sambandh mean vivad isaliye hota hai ki meri shaktiyoan-sattv, raj adi gunoan aur unaki vrittiyoan ka rahasy log samajh nahian pate; isaliye ve apani-apani manovritti par hi agrah kar baithate haian. sattv adi gunoan ke kshobh se hi yah vividh kalpanaroop prapanch-jo vastu nahian keval nam-uth kh da hua hai. yahi vad-vivad karane valoan ke vivad ka vishay hai. jab indriyaan apane vash mean ho jati haian tatha chitt shant ho jata hai, tab yah prapanch bhi nivritt ho jata hai aur isaki nivritti ke sath hi sare vad-vivad bhi mit jate haian.

purush-shiromane! tattvoan ka ek-doosare mean anupravesh hai, isaliye vakta tattvoan ki jitani sankhya batalana chahata hai, usake anusar karan ko kary mean athava kary ko karan mean milakar apani ichchhit sankhya siddh kar leta hai. aisa dekha jata hai ki ek hi tattv mean bahut-se doosare tattvoan ka antarbhav ho gaya hai. isaka koee bandhan nahian hai ki kisaka kisamean antarbhav ho. kabhi ghat-pat adi kary vastuoan ka unake karan mitti-soot adi mean, to kabhi mitti-soot adi ka ghat-pat adi karyoan mean antarbhav ho jata hai. isaliye vadi-prativadiyoan mean se jisaki vani ne jis kary ko jis karan mean athava jis karan ko jis kary mean antarbhoot karake tattvoan ki jitani sankhya svikar ki hai, vah ham nishchay hi svikar karate haian; kyoanki unaka vah upapadan yuktisangat hi hai.

uddhav ji! jin logoan ne chhabbis sankhya svikar ki hai, ve aisa kahate haian ki jiv anadi kal se avidya se grast ho raha hai. vah svayan apane-apako nahian jan sakata. use atmajnan karane ke liye kisi any sarvajn ki avashyakata hai. (isaliye prakriti ke karyakaranaroop chaubis tattv, pachisavaan purush aur chhabbisavaan eeshvar-is prakar kul chhabbis tattv svikar karane chahiye). pachis tattv manane vale kahate haian ki is sharir mean jiv aur eeshvar ka anumatr bhi antar ya bhed nahian hai, isaliye use bhed ki kalpana vyarth hai. rahi jnan ki bat, so to sattvatmika prakriti ka gun hai.
