ashtaangayog ki vidhi

kapil bhagavanh kahate haian- mataji! ab maian tumhean sabij (dhayeyasvaroop ke alamban se yukt) yog ka lakshan batata hooan, jisake dvara chitt shuddh evan prasann hokar paramatma ke marg mean pravritt ho jata hai. yashashakti shastravihit svadharm ka palan karana tatha shastraviruddh acharan ka parityag karana, prarabdh ke anusar jo kuchh mil jaye, usi mean santusht rahana atmajnaniyoan ke charanoan ki pooja karana, vishay-vasanaoan ko badhane vale karmoan se door rahana, sansarabandhan se chhu dane vale dharmoan mean prem karana, pavitr aur parimit bhojan karana, nirantar ekant aur nirbhay sthan mean rahana, man, vani aur sharir se kisi jiv ko n satana, saty bolana, chori n karana, avashyakata se adhik vastuoan ka sangrah n karana, brahmachary ka palan karana, tapasya karana (dharmapalan ke liye kasht sahana), bahar-bhitar se pavitr rahana, shastroan ka adhyayan karana, bhagavanh ki pooja karana, vani ka sanyam karana, uttam asanoan ka abhyas karake sthiratapoorvak baithana, dhire-dhire pranayam ke dvara shvas ko jitana, indriyoan ko man ke dvara vishayoan se hatakar apane hriday mean le jana. mooladhar adi kisi ek kendr mean man ke sahit pranoan ko sthir karana, nirantar bhagavanh ki lilaoan ka chintan aur chitt ko samahit karana. unase tatha vrat-danadi doosare sadhanoan se bhi savadhani ke sath pranoan ko jitakar buddhi ke dvara apane kumargagami dushtachitt ko dhire-dhire ekagr kare, paramatma ke dhyan mean lagave.

pahale asan ko jite, phir pranayam ke abhyas ke liye pavitr desh mean kush-mrigacharmadi yukt asan bichhave. us par sharir ko sidha aur sthir rakhate hue sukhapoorvak baithakar abhyas kare. arambh mean bayean nasika se poorak, kumbhak aur rechak kare, phir isake viparit dahini nasika se pranayam karake pran ke marg ka shodhan kare-jisase chitt sthir aur nishchal ho jaye. jis prakar vayu aur agni se tapaya hua sona apane mal ko tyag deta hai, usi prakar jo yogi pran vayu ko jit leta hai, usaka man bahut shighr shuddh ho jata hai. atah yogi ko uchit hai ki pranayam se vat-pittadijanit doshoan ko, dharana se papoan ko, pratyahar se vishayoan ke sambandh ko aur dhyan se bhagavadvimukh karane vale rag-dveshadi durgunoan ko door kare. jab yog ka abhyas karate-karate chitt nirmal aur ekagr ho jaye, tab nasika ke agrabhag mean drishti jamakar is prakar bhagavanh ki moorti ka dhyan kare.

bhagavanh ka mukhakamal anand se praphull hai, netr kamalakosh ke saman ratanare haian, sharir nilakamaladal ke saman shyam haian; hathoan mean shankh, chakr aur gada dharan kiye haian. kamal ki kesar ke saman pila reshami vastr lahara raha hai, vakshahsthal mean shrivats chihn hai aur gale mean kaustubh mani jhilamila rahi hai. vanamala charanoan tak lataki huee hai, jisake charoan or bhauanre sugandh se matavale hokar madhur guanjar kar rahe haian; aang-pratyang mean mahamooly har, kankan, kirit, bhujabandh aur noopur adi abhooshan virajaman haian. kamar mean karadhani ki l diyaan usaki shobha badha rahi haian; bhaktoan ke hridayakamal hi unake asan haian, unak darshaniy shyamasundarasvaroop atyant shant evan man aur nayanoan ko anandit karane vala hai.
