raja ven ki katha

shrimaitrey ji kahate haian- viravar vidur ji! sabhi lokoan ki kushal chahane vale bhrigu adi muniyoan ne dekha ki aang ke chale jane se ab prithvi ki raksha karane vala koee nahian rah gaya hai, sab log pashuoan ke saman uchchhrankhal hote ja rahe haian. tab unhoanne mata sunitha ki sammati se, mantriyoan ke sahamat n hone par bhi ven ko bhoomandal ke rajapad par abhishikt kar diya. ven b da kathor shasak tha. jab chor-dakuoan ne suna ki vahi rajasianhasan par baitha hai, tab sarp se dare hue choohoan ke saman ve sab turant hi jahaan-tahaan chhip gaye.

rajyasan pane par ven athoan lokapaloan ki aishvaryakala ke karan unmatt ho gaya aur abhimanavash apane ko hi sabase b da manakar mahapurushoan ka apaman karane laga. vah aishvaryamad se aandha ho rath par chadhakar nirankush gajaraj ke saman prithvi aur akash ko kanpata hua sarvatr vicharane laga. ‘koee bhi dvijatiy varn ka purush kabhi prakar ka yajn, dan aur havan n kare’ apane rajy mean yah dhiandhora pitavakar usane sare dharm-karm band karava diye. dusht ven ka aisa atyachar dekh sare rrishi-muni ekatr hue aur sansar par sankat aya samajhakar karunavash apas mean kahane lage- ‘aho! jaise donoan or jalati huee lak di ke bich mean rahane vale chiti adi jiv mahanh sankat mean p d jate haian, vaise hi is samay sari praja ek or raja ke aur doosari or chor-dakuoan ke atyachar se mahanh sankat mean p d rahi hai. hamane arajakata ke bhay se hi ayogy hone par bhi ven ko raja banaya tha; kintu ab usase bhi praja ko bhay ho gaya. aisi avastha mean praja ko kis prakar sukh-shanti mil sakati hai? sunitha ki kokh se utpann hua yah ven svabhav se hi dusht hai. parantu saanp ko doodh pilane ke saman isako palana, palane valoan ke liye anarth ka karan ho gaya. hamane ise praja ki raksha karane ke liye niyukt kiya tha, yah aj usi ko nasht karane par tula hua hai. itana sab hone par bhi hamean ise samajhana avashy chahiye; aisa karane se isake kiye hue pap hamean sparsh nahian kareange. hamane jan-boojhakar durachari ven ko raja banaya tha. kintu yadi samajhane par bhi yah hamari bat nahian manega, to lok ke dhikkar se dagdh hue is dusht ko ham apane tej se bhasm kar deange.’ aisa vichar karake muni log ven ke pas gaye aur apane krodh ko chhipakar use priy vachanoan se samajhate hue is prakar kahane lage.

muniyoan ne kaha- rajanh! ham apase jo bat kahate haian, us par dhyan dijiy. isase apaki ayu, shri, bal aur kirti ki vriddhi hogi. tat! yadi manushy man, vani, sharir aur buddhi se dharm ka acharan kare, to use svargadi shokarahit lokoan ki prapti hoti hai. yadi usaka nishkamabhav ho, tab to vahi dharm use anant mokshapad par pahuancha deta hai. isaliye viravar! praja ka kalyanaroop vah dharm apake karan nasht nahian hona chahiye. dharm ke nasht hone se raja bhi aishvary se chyut ho jata hai. jo raja dusht mantri aur chor adi se apani praja ki raksha karate hue nyayakool rahata hai, vah is lok mean aur paralok mean donoan jagah sukh pata hai.
