narad-yudhishthir-sanvad aur jay-vijay ki katha

raja parikshit ne poochha- bhagavanh! bhagavanh to svabhav se hi bhedabhav se rahit haian-sam haian, samast praniyoan ke priy aur suhridh haian; phir unhoanne, jaise koee sadharan manushy bhedabhav se apane mitr ka paksh le aur shatruoan ka anisht are, usi prakar indr ke liye daityoan ka vadh kyoan kiya? ve svayan paripoorn kalyanasvaroop haian, isiliye unhean devataoan se kuchh lena-dena nahian hai tatha nirgun hone ke karan daityoan se kuchh vair-virodh aur udveg bhi nahian hai. bhagavatprem ke saubhagy se sampann mahatamanh! hamare chitt mean bhagavanh ke samatv adi gunoan ke sambandh mean b da bhari sandeh ho raha hai. ap kripa karake use mitaiye.

shrishukadev ji kahate haian- maharaj! bhagavanh ke adbhut charitr ke sambandh mean tumane b da sundar prashn kiya; kyoanki aise prasang prahlad adi bhaktoan ki mahima se paripoorn hote haian, jisake shravan se bhagavanh ki bhakti badhati hai. is param punyamay prasang ko naradadi mahatmagan b de prem se gate rahate haian. ab maian apane pita shrikrishn-dvaipayan muni ko namaskar karake bhagavanh ki lila-katha ka varnan karata hooan. vastav mean bhagavanh nirgun, ajanma, avyakt aur prakriti se pare haian. aise hone par bhi apani maya ke gunoan ko svikar karake ve badhy-badhak bhav ko arthath marane aur marane vale donoan ke paraspar-virodhi roopoan ko grahan karate haian. sattvagun, rajogun aur tamogun- ye prakriti ke gun haian, paramatma ke nahian.

parikshit! in tinoan gunoan ki bhi ek sath hi ghatati-badhati nahian hoti. bhagavanh samay-samay ke anusar gunoan ko svikar karate haian. sattvagun ki vriddhi ke samay devata aur rrishiyoan ka, rajogun ki vriddhi ke samay daityoan ka aur tamogun ki vriddhi ke samay ve yaksh evan rakshasoan ko apanate aur unaka abhyuday karate haian. jaise vyapak agni kashth adi bhinn-bhinn ashrayoan mean rahane par bhi unase alag nahian jan p dati, parantu manthan karane par vah prakat ho jati hai-vaise hi paramatma sabhi shariroan mean rahate haian, alag nahian jan p date. parantu vicharashil purush hriday manthan karake-unake atirikt sabhi vastuoan ka bodh karake antatah apane hriday mean hi antaryamiroop se unhean prapt kar lete haian. jab parameshvar apane liye shariroan ka nirman karana chahate haian, tab apani maya se rajogun ki alag srishti karate haian. jab ve vichitr yoniyoan mean raman karana chahate haian, tab sattvagun ki srishti karate haian aur jab ve shayan karana chahate haian, tab tamogun ko badha dete haian. parikshit! bhagavanh saty sankalp haian. ve hi jagath ki utpatti ke nimitt bhoot, prakriti aur purush ke sahakari evan ashrayakal ki srishti karate haian. isaliye ve kal ke adhin nahian, kal hi unake adhin hai.

rajanh! ve kal svaroop eeshvar jab sattvagun ki vriddhi karate haian, tab sattvamay devataoan ka bal badhate haian aur tabhi ve paramayashasvi devapriy paramatma devavirodhi, rajoguni evan tamoguni daityoan ka sanhar karate haian. vastutah ve sam hi haian. rajanh! isi vishay mean devarshi narad ne b de prem se ek itihas kaha tha. yah us samay ki bat hai, jab rajasooy yajn mean tumhare dada yudhishthir ne unase is sambandh mean ek prashn kiya tha.
