hansaroop se sanakadi ko diye hue upadesh ka varnan

bhagavan shrikrishn kahate haian- priy uddhav! sattv, raj aur tam-ye tinoan buddhi (prakriti) ke gun haian, atma ke nahian. sattv ke dvara raj aur tam-in do gunoan par vijay prapt kar leni chahiye. tadanantar sattvagun ki shantavritti ke dvara usaki daya adi vrittiyoan ko bhi shant kar dena chahiye. jab sattvagun ki vriddhi hoti hai, tabhi jiv ko mere bhaktiroop svadharm ki prapti hoti hai. nirantar sattvik vastuoan ka sevan karane se sattvagun ki vriddhi hoti hai aur tab mere bhaktiroop svadharm mean pravritti hone lagati hai. jis dharm ke palan se sattvagun ki vriddhi ho, vahi sabase shreshth hai. vah dharm rajogun aur tamogun ko nasht kar deta hai. jab ve donoan nasht ho jate haian, tab unhian ke karan hone vala adharm bhi shighr hi mit jata hai. shastr, jal, prajajan, desh, samay, karm, janm, dhyan, mantr aur sanskar-ye das vastuean yadi sattvik hoan to sattvagun ki, rajasik hoan to rajogun ki aur tamasik hoan to tamoguni vriddhi karati hai. isamean se shastrajn mahatma jinaki prashansa karate haian, ve sattvik haian, jinaki ninda karate haian, ve tamasik haian aur jinaki upeksha karate haian, ve vastuean rajasik haian.

jab tak apane atma ka sakshatkar tatha sthool-sookshm sharir aur unake karan tinoan gunoan ki nivritti n ho, tab tak manushy ko chahiye ki sattvagun ki vriddhi ke liye sattvik shastr adi ka hi sevan kare; kyoanki usase dharm ki vriddhi hoti hai aur dharm ki vriddhi se antahkaran shuddh hokar atmatattv ka jnan hota hai. baansoan ki rag d se ag paida hoti hai aur vah unake sare van ko jalakar shant ho jati hai. vaise hi yah sharir gunoan ke vaishamy se utpann hua hai. vichar dvara manthan karane par isase jnanagni prajvalit hoti hai aur vah samast shariroan evan gunoan ko bhasm karake svayan bhi shant ho jati hai.

uddhav ji ne poochha- 'bhagavanh! prayah sabhi manushy is bat ko janate haian ki vishay vipattiyoan ke ghar haian; phir bhi kutte, gadhe aur bakare ke saman duahkh sahan karake bhi unhian ko bhogate rahate haian. isaka kya karan hai?'

bhagavan shrikrishn ne kaha- priy uddhav! jiv jab ajnanavash apane svaroop ko bhoolakar hriday se sookshm-sthooladi sharir mean ahan buddhi kar baithata hai-jo ki sarvatha bhram hi hai-tab usaka sattvapradhan man ghor rajogun ki or jhuk jata hai; usase vyapt ho jata hai. bas, jahaan man mean rajogun ki pradhanata huee ki usamean sankalp-vikalpoan ka taanta bandh jata hai. ab vah vishayoan ka chintan karane lagata hai aur apani durbuddhi ke karan kam ke phande mean phans jata hai, jisase phir chhutakara hona bahut hi kathin hai. ab vah ajnani kamavash anekoan prakar ke karm karane lagata hai aur indriyoan ke vash hokar, yah janakar bhi ki in karmoan ka antim phal duahkh hi hai, unhian ko karata hai, us samay vah rajogun ke tivr veg se atyant mohit rahata hai.
