jaise kal ke prabhav se diye ki lau, nadiyoan ke pravah athava vriksh ke phaloan ki vishesh-vishesh avasthaean badalati rahati haian, vaise hi samast praniyoan ke shariroan ki ayu, avastha adi bhi badalati rahati hai. jaise yah unhian jyotiyoan ka vahi dipak hai, pravah ka yah vahi jal hai-aisa samajhana aur kahana mithya hai, vaise hi vishay-chintan mean vyarth ayu bitane vale aviveki purushoan ka aisa kahana aur samajhana ki yah vahi purush hai, sarvatha mithya hai. yadyapi vah bhrant purush bhi apane karmoan ke bij dvara n paida hota hai aur n to marata hi hai; vah bhi ajanma aur amar hi hai, phir bhi bhranti se vah utpann hota hai aur marata-sa bhi hai, jaise ki kashth se yukti agni paida hota aur nasht hota dikhayi p data hai.

uddhav ji! garbhadhan, garbhavriddhi, janm, balyavastha, kumaravastha, javani, adhe d avastha, budhapa aur mrityu-ye nau avasthaean sharir ki hi haian. yah sharir jiv se bhinn hai aur ye ooanchi-nichi avasthaean usake manorath ke anusar hi haian; parantu vah ajnanavash gunoan ke sang se inhean apani manakar bhatakane lagata hai aur kabhi-kabhi vivek ho jane par inhean chho d bhi deta hai. pita ko putr ke janm se aur putr ko pita ki mrityu se apane-apane janm-maran ka anuman kar lena chahiye. janm-mrityu se yukt dehoan ka drishta janm aur mrityu se yukt sharir nahian hai. jaise jau-geanhooan adi ki phasal bone par ug ati hai aur pak jane par kat di jati hai, kintu jo purush unake ugane aur katane ka janane vala sakshi hai, vah unase sarvatha prithakh hai; vaise hi jo sharir aur usaki avasthaoan ka sakshi hai, vah sharir se sarvatha prithakh hai. ajnani parush is prakar prakriti aur sharir se atma ka vivechan nahian karate. ve use unase tattvatah alag anubhav nahian karate aur vishay bhog mean sachcha sukh manane lagate haian tatha usi mean mohit ho jate haian. isi se unhean janm-mrityuroop sansar mean bhatakana p data hai.

jab aviveki jiv apane karmoan ke anusar janm-mrityu ke chakr mean bhatakane lagata hai, tab sattvik karmoan ki asakti se vah rrishilok aur devalok mean rajasik karmoan ki asakti se manushy aur asurayoniyoan mean tatha tamasi karmoan ki asakti se bhoot-pret evan pashu-pakshi adi yoniyoan mean jata hai. jab manushy kisi ko nachate-gate dekhata hai, tab vah svayan bhi usaka anukaran karane-tan to dane lagata hai. vaise hi jab jiv buddhi ke gunoan ko dekhata hai, tab svayan nishkriy hone par hi bhi usaka anukaran karane ke liye badhy ho jata hai. jaise nadi-talab adi ke jal ke hilane ya chanchal hone par usamean pratibimbit tat ke vriksh bhi usake sath hilate-dolate-se jan p date haian, jaise ghumaye jane vale netr ke sath-sath prithvi bhi ghumati huee-si dikhayi deti hai, jaise man ke dvara soche gaye tatha svapn mean dekhe gaye bhog padarth sarvatha alik hi hote haian, vaise hi he dashard! atma ka vishayanubhavaroop sansar bhi sarvatha asaty hai. atma to nity shuddh-buddh-muktasvabhav hi hai.
