arjun bole- apaka janh‍m to arvachin-abhi halaka hai aur soory ka janh‍m bahut purana hai arthat kalh‍p ke adi mean ho chuka tha; tab maian is bat ko kaise samajhooan ki ap hi ne kalh‍p ke adi mean soory se yah yog kaha tha? shribhagavan bole- he parantap arjun! mere aur tere bahut-se janh‍m ho chuke haian.[4] un sabako too nahian janata, kiantu maian janata hooan. sanbandh- bhagavan ke mukh se yah bat sunakar ki a‍b tak mere bahut-se janh‍m ho chuke haian, yah janane ki ichh‍chha hoti hai ki apaka janh‍m kis prakar hota hai or ap ke janh‍m mean tatha anh‍y logoan ke janh‍m mean kh‍ya bhed hai. atev is bat ko samajhane ke liye bhagavan apane janh‍m ka tatth‍v batalate haian- maian ajanh‍ma or avinashish‍varoop hote hue bhi tatha samash‍t praniyoan ka eeshvar hote hue bhi apani prakritti ko adhin karake apani yogamaya se prakat hota hooan.[5] sanbandh-is prakar bhagavan ke mukh se unake janh‍m ka tatth‍v sunane par yah jijnasa hoti hai ki ap kis-kis samay aur bhagavan do shlakoan mean apane avatar ke avasar, hetu aur uddeshh‍y batalate haian- he bharat! jab-jab dharm ki hani aur adharm ki vriddhi hoti hai[6] tab-tab hi maian apane roop ko rachata hooan arthat sakararoop se logoan ke samh‍mukh prakat hota hooan. sadhu purushoan ka uddhar karane ke liye, pap-karm karane-valoan ka vinash karane ke liye aur dharm ki achh‍chhi tarah se sh‍thapana karane ke liye[7] maian yug-yug mean prakat hua karata hooan.[8][1]

he arjun! mere janh‍m aur karm divh‍y arthat nirmal aur alaukik haian- is prakar jo manushh‍y tatth‍v se jan leta hai[9] vah sharir ko th‍yagakar phir janh‍m ko praph‍t nahian hota; kiantu mujhe hi praph‍t hota hai. pahale bhi jinake rag, bhay aur krodh sarvatha nashh‍t ho gaye the or jo mujhamean ananyapremapoorvak sthit rahate the, aise mere ashrit rahane vale bahut se bhakt uparyukt jnanaroop tap se pavitr hokar mere svaroop ko prapt ho chuke haian.[10] he arjun! jo bhakt mujhe jis prakar bhajate haian, maian bhi unako usi prakar bhajata haian;[11] kyoanki sabhi manushh‍y sab prakar se mere hi marg ka anusaran karate haian.[12] sambandh- yadi yah bat hai, to phir log bhagavan ko n bhajakar any devataoan ki upasana kyoan karate haian? is prakar kahate haian- is manushh‍yalok mean karmoan ke phal ko chahane vale log devataoan ka poojan kiya karate haian; kyoanki unako karmoan se utpann hone vali siddhi shighr mil jati haian. brahman, kshatriy, vaishh‍v aur shoodr- in char varnoan ka samooh gun aur karmoan ke vibhagapoorvak mere dvara racha gaya hai.[13] bhi mujh avinashi parameshh‍var ko too vastav mean akarta hi jan.[14]

karmoan ke phal mean meri spriha nahian hai, isaliye mujhe karm lipt nahian karate- is prakar jo mujhe tattv se jan leta hai, vah bhi karmoan se nahian bandhata.[15] poorvakal ke mumukshuoan ne bhi is prakar janakar hi karm kiye hai.[16] isaliye too bhi poorvajoan dvara sada se kiye jane vale karmoan ko hi kar. karm kya haian? aur akarm kya hai?- is prakar isaka nirnay karane mean buddhiman purush bhi mohit ho jate haian. isaliye vah karm tattv maian tujhe bhalibhaanti samajhakar kahooanga, jise janakar too ashubh se arthat karmabandhan se mukt ho jayaga. karm ka svaroop bhi janana chahiye[17] svaroop bhi janana chahiye[18] tatha vikarm ka svaroop bhi janana chahiye;[19] kyoanki karm ki gati gahan hai. sambandh- is prakar shrota ke ant:karan mean ruchi aur shraddha utpann karane ke liye karmatattv ko gahan evan usaka janana avashh‍yak batala‍kar ab apani pratijna ke anusar bhagavan karm ka tattv samajhate haian- jo manushh‍y karm mean akarm dekhata hai aur jo akarm mean karm dekhata hai, vah manushh‍yoan mean buddhiman hai aur vah yogi samast karmoan ko karane vala hai. [20] sambandh- is prakar karm mean akarm aur akarm mean karmadarshan ka mahattv batalakar ab paanch shlokoan mean bhinn-bhinn shaili se uparyukt karm mean akarm aur akarm mean karm-darshanapoorvak karm karane vale siddh or sadhak purushoan ki asangata ka varnan karake us vishay ko spashh‍t karate haian[21]-

jisake sampoorn shastrasammat karm bina kamana aur sankalp ke hote haian[22] tatha jisake samast karm jnanaroop aur akarm ka agni ke dvara bhasm ho gaye haian,[23] us mahapurush ko jnanijan bhi pandit kahate haian. jo purush samast karmoan mean aur unake phal mean asakti ka sarvatha tyag karake sansar ke ashray se rahit ho gaya hai aur paramatma mean nityatript haian,[24] vah karm mean bhalibhaanti bartata hua bhi vastav mean kuchh bhi nahian karata. jisaka ant:karan aur indriyoan ke sahit sharir jita hua hai aur jisane samast bhogoan ki samagri ka parityag kar diya hai, aisa asharahit purush keval sharirasambandhi karm karata hua bhi pap ko nahian prapt hoga.[25] jo bina ichchha ke apane ap prapt hue padarth mean sada santushh‍t rahata hai, jisamean eershh‍ya ka sarvatha abhav ho gaya hai, jo harsh shok adi dvandvoan se sarvatha atit ho gaya hai- aisa siddhi aur asiddhi mean sam rahane vala[26] karmayogi karm karata hua bhi unase nahian bandhata.[27]

jisaki asakti nashh‍t ho gayi hai, jo dehabhiman aur mamata se rahit ho gaya hai, jisaka chitt nirantar paramatma ke jnan mean sthit rahata hai- aise keval yajn samh‍padan ke liye karm karane vale manushh‍y ke samh‍poorn karm bhalibhaanti vilin ho jate haian.[28][29]

  2. paramath‍ma ki prapti ke sadhanaroop karmayog, jnanayog, bhaktiyog adi jitane bhi sadhan haian- sabhi nith‍y haian; inaka kabhi abhav nahian hota. jab parameshvaranith‍y haian, tab unaki prapti ke liye unh‍hian ke dvara nishchit kiye hue anadi niyam anith‍y nahian ho sakate. jab-jab jagat ka pradurbhav hota hai, tab-tab bhagavan ke samash‍t niyam bhi sath-hi-sath prakat ho jate haian aur jab jagat ka pralay hota hai, us samay niyamoan ka bhi tirobhav ho jata hai; parantu unaka abhav kabhi nahian hota. is prakar is karmayog ki anadita siddh karane ke liye poorvashlok mean use avinashi kaha gaya hai. atev is shlok mean jo yah bat kahi gayi ki vah yog bahut kal se nashh‍t ho gaya hai- isaka yahi abhipray samajhana cha‍hiye ki bahut samay se is prithh‍vi lok mean usaka tatth‍v samajhane vale shreshh‍th purushoan ka abhav-sa ho gaya hai, is karan vah aprakashit ho gaya hai, usaka is lok mean tirobhav ho gaya hai; yah nahian ki usaka abhav ho gaya hai.
  3. is kathan se bhagavan ne yah bhav dikhalaya hai ki yah yog sab prakar ke du:khoan se aur bandhanoan se chhu dakar paramanandash‍varoop mujh parameshvar ko sugamatapoorvak praph‍t kara dene vala hai, isaliye ath‍yant hi uttam or bahut hi gopaniy hai; isake siva isaka yah bhav bhi hai ki apane ko sooryadi ke prati is yog ka upadesh karane vala batalakar aur vahi yog maianne tujhase kaha hai, too mera bhakh‍t hai- yah kahakar maianne jo apana eeshvar bhav prakat kiya hai, yah b de rahash‍y ki bat hai.
  4. yahaan bhagavan ne yah bhav dikhalaya hai ki maian aur tum abhi hue haian, pahale nahian the- aisi bat nahian hai. ham log anadi aur nith‍y haian. mera nith‍y sh‍varoop to hai hi; usake atirikh‍t maian anek roopoan mean pahale prakat ho chuka hooan. isaliye maianne jo yah bat kahi hai ki yah yog pahale soory se maianne hi kaha tha, isaka yahi abhipray samajhana chahiye ki kalh‍p ke adi mean maianne narayan roop se soory ko yah yog kaha tha.
  5. isase bhagavan ne yah dikhalaya hai ki yadyapi maian ajanh‍ma aur avinashi hooan- vash‍tav mean mera janh‍m aur vinash kabhi nahian hota hai, to bhi maian sadharan vh‍yakti ki bhaanti janh‍mata aur vinashh‍t hota-sa pr‍tit hota hooan; isi tarah samash‍t praniyoan ka eeshvar hote hue bhi ek sadharan vh‍yakti-sa hi pratit hota hooan. abhipray yah hai ki mere avatar-tattv ko n samajhane vale log jab maian math‍sh‍y, kachh‍chhap, varah aur manushh‍yadi roop mean prakat hota hooan, tab mera janh‍m hua manate haian aur jab maian aantardhan ho jata hooan, us samay mera vinash samajh lete haian tatha jab maian us roop mean divh‍y lila karata hooan, tab mujhe apane jaisa hi sadharan vh‍yakti samajhakar mera tirash‍kar karate haian. (gita 1:11) ve bechare is bat ko nahian samajh pate ki ye sarvashaktimanh, sarveshvar, nith‍y-shuddh-buddh-mukh‍t–sh‍vabhav sakshat poornabrahm paramath‍ma hi jagat ka kalh‍yan karane ke liye is roop mean prakat hokar divh‍y lila kar rahe haian; kh‍yoanki maian us samay apani yogamaya ke parade mean chhipa rahata hooan.   6. rrishikalp, dharmik, eeshvarapremi, sadachari purushoan tatha niraparadhi, nirbal praniyoan par balavan aur durachari manushh‍yoan ka ath‍yachar badh jana tatha usake karan logoan mean sadgunoan aur sadachar ka ath‍yant hrias hokar durgun aur durachar ka adhik phail jana hi dharm ki hani aur adharm ki vriddhi ka sh‍varoop hai.
  7. sh‍vayan shastranukool acharan kar, vibhinh‍n prakar se dharm ka mahatth‍v dikhalakar aur logoan ke hriday mean pravesh karane vali apritim prabhavashalini vani ke dvara upadesh-adesh dekar sabake aantakaran mean ved, shastr, paralok, mahapurush aur bhagavan par shraddha uth‍panh‍n kar dena tatha sadgunoan mean aur sadacharoan mean vishvas tatha prem uth‍panh‍n karavakar logoan mean in sabako dridhatapoorvak bhalibhaanti dharan kara dena adi sabhi batean dharm ki sh‍thapana ke aantargat haian.
  8. yadyapi bhavagan bina hi avatar liye anayas hi sab kuchh kar sakate haian aur karate bhi hai hi; kiantu logoan par vishesh daya karake apane darshan, sh‍parsh aur bhashanadi ke dvara sugamata se logoan ko uddhar ka suavasar dene ke liye evan apane premi bhaktoan ka apani divh‍y liladi ka ash‍vadan karane ke liye bhagavan sakararoop se prakat hote haian. un avataroan mean dharan kiye hue roop ka tatha unake gun, prabhav, nam, mahath‍mh‍y aur divh‍yakarmoan ka shravan, kirtan aur sh‍maran karake log sahaj hi sansar-samudr se par ho sakate haian. yah kam bina avatar ke nahian ho sakata.
  9. sarvashaktimanh poornabrahm parameshvar vash‍tav mean janh‍m aur mrith‍yu se sarvatha atit hai. unaka janh‍m jivoan ki bhaanti nahian hai. ve apane bhakh‍toan par anugrah karake apani divh‍y lilaoan ke dvara unake man ko apani or akarshit karane ke liye, darshan, sh‍parsh aur bhashanadi ke dvara unako sukh pahuanchane ke liye, sansar mean apani divh‍y kirti phailakar usake shravan, kirtan aur sh‍maran dvara logoan ke papoan ka nash karane ke liye tatha jagat mean papachariyoan ka vinash karake dharm ki sh‍thapana karane ke liye janh‍m-dharan ki keval lilabhav karate haian. unaka vah janh‍m nirdosh aur alaukik hai. jagat ka kalh‍yan karane ke liye hi bhagavan is prakar manushh‍yadi ke roop mean logoan ke samane prakat hote hai; unaka vah vigrah prakrit upadanoan se bana hua nahian bhagavan is prakar manushh‍yadi ke roop mean logoan ke samane prakat hote hai; unake janh‍m mean gun aur karm-sansh‍kar hetu nahian hote; ve maya ke vash mean hokar janh‍m dharan nahian karate, kiantu apani prakriti ke adhishh‍thata hokar yogashakti se manushh‍yadi ke roop mean keval logoan par daya karake hi prakat hote haian- is bat ko bhalibhaanti samajh lena hi bhagavan ke janh‍m ko tatth‍v se divh‍y samajhana hai. bhagavan ke srishti rachana aur avatar liladi jitane bhi karm karate haian, unamean unaka kianchinh‍matr bhi sh‍varth ka sanbandh nahian hai; keval logoan par anugrah karaneke liye hi ve manushh‍yadi avataroan mean nana prakar ke karm karate haian (gita 3.22-23). bhagavan apani prakriti dvara samash‍t karm karate hue bhi un karmo ke prati kartrith‍vabhav n rahane ke karan vash‍tav mean n to kuchh bhi karate haian aur n unake bandhan mean p date hai; bhagavan ki un karmoan ke phal mean kianchinh‍matr bhi sh‍priha nahian hoti (gita 4.23-24). bhagavan ke dvara jo kuchh bhi cheshh‍ta hoti hai, lo‍kahitarth hi hoti hai (gita 4:8); unake prath‍yek karm mean logoan ka hit bhara rahata hai. ve anant koti brahmanh‍doan ke sh‍vami hote hue bhi sarvasadharan ke sath abhiman rahit daya aur premapoorn samata ka vh‍yavahar karate haian (gita 9:29); jo koee manushh‍y jis prakar unako bhajata hai, ve sh‍vayan use usi prakar bhajate haian (gita 4:11); apane ananh‍yabhakh‍toan ka yogakshem bhagavan sh‍vayan chalate haian (gita 9:22), unako divh‍y jnan prada karate haian (gita 10:10-11) aur bhaktiroopi nauka par baithai hue bhaktoan ka sansar samudr se shighr hi uddhar karane ke liye svayan unake karnadhar ban jate haian (gita 12:7). is prakar bhagavan ke samast karm asakti, ahankar aur kamanadi doshoan se sarvatha rahit nirmal aur shuddh tatha keval logoan ka kalyan karane evan niti, dharm shuddh prem adi bhakti adi ka jagat mean prachar karane ke liye hi hote haian; in sab karmoan ko karate hue bhi bhagavan ka vastav mean un karmoan se kuchh bhi sambandh nahian hai, ve unase sarvatha atit aur akarta haian- is bat ko bhali-bhaanti samajh lena, isamean kichinmatr bhi asambhavana ya‍ viparit bhavana n rahakar poorn vishvas ho jana hi bhagavan ke karmoan ki tattv se divy samajhana haian.
  10. yahaan saankhh‍yayog ka prasang nahian haian bhakti ka prakaran hai tatha poorvashlok mean bhagavan ke janm-karmoan ko divy samajhane ka phal bhagavan ki prapti batalaya gaya hai; usi ke praman mean yah shlok hai. is karan yahaan ‘jnanatapasa’ pad mean jnan ka arth atmajnan n manakar bhagavan ke janm-karmoan ko divy samajh lena roop jnan hi mana gaya haian. is jnan roop tap ke prabhav se manushh‍y ka bhagavan mean anany prem ho jata haian, usake samajh pap-tap nashh‍t ho jate haian, ant:karan mean sab prakar ke dugurnoan ka sarvatha abhav ho jata haian aur samast karm bhagavan ke karmoan ki bhaanti divy ho jate haian tatha vah kabhi bhagavan se alag nahian hota, usako bhagavan sada hi pratyaksh rahate haian- yahi un bh‍ktoan ka jnanaroop tap se pavitr hokar bhagavan ke svaroop ko prapt ho jana hai.
  11. isase bhagavan ne yah bhav dikhalaya hai ki mere bhaktoan ke bhajan ke prakar bhinn-bhinn hote haian. apani-apani bhavana ke anusar bhakt mere prithakh-pri‍thakh roop manate haian aur apani-apani manyata ke anusar mera bhajan-smaran karate haian, atev maian bhi unako unaki bhavana ke anusar un un roopoan mean hi darshan deta huan tatha ve jis prakar jis-jis bhav se meri upasana karate haian, maian unake us-us prakar or us-us bhavana ka hi anusaran karata hooan. jo mera chintan karata hai usaka mean chintan karata hooan, jo mere liye vyakul hota hai usake liye maian bhi vyakul ho jata hooan, jo mera viyog sahan nahian kar sakata maian bhi usaka viyog nahian sahan kar sakata. jo mujhe apana sarvasv arpan kar deta haian, maian bhi use apana sarvasv arpan kar deta hooan. jo gval-baloan ki bhaanti mujhe apana sakha manakar mera bhajan karate haian, unake sath maian mitr-ke-jaisa vyavahar karata hooan. jo nand-yashoda ki bhaanti putr manakar mera bhajan karate haian, unake sath putroan ke jaisa bartav karake unaka kalyan karata hooan. isi prakar rukmini ki tarah pati samajhakar bhajane valoan ke sath pati-jaisa, hanuman ki bhaanti svami samajhakar bhajane valoan ke sath svami jaisa aur gopiyoan ki bhaanti madhuryabhav se bhajane valoan ke sath priyatam-jaisa bartav karake maian unaka kalyan karata hooan aur unako divy lila-ras ka anubhav karata hooan.
  12. isase bhagavan ne yah dikhalaya hai ki log mera anusaran karate haian, isaliye yadi maian is prakar prem aur sauhard ka bartav karooanga to doosare log bhi meri dekha-dekhi aise hi ni:svarthabhav se ek doosaroan ke sath yathayogy prem or suhridata ka bartav kareange. atev is niti ka jagat mean prachar karane ke liye bhi aisa karana mera kartavy hai.
  13. anadi kal se jivoan ke jo janm-janmantaroan mean kiye hue karm haian, jinaka phalayog nahian ho gaya haian, unhian ke anusar unamean yathayogy tattv, raj aur tamogun ki nyoonadhikata hoti hai. bhagavan jab srishti-rachana ke samay manushh‍yoan ka nirman karate haian, tab un-un gun aur karmoan ke anusar unhean brahmanadi varnoan mean utpann karate haian. sath hi yah bhi samajh lena chahiye ki dev, pitar aur tiryak adi doosari-doosari yoniyoan ki rachana bhi bhagavan jivoan ke gun aur karmoan ke anusar hi karate haian. isaliye in srishti-rachanadi karmoan mean bhagavan ki kianchinmatr bhi vishamata nahian haian, yahi bhav dikhalane ke liye yahaan yah bat kahi gayi hai ki mere dvara charoan varnoan ki rachana unake gun aur karmoan ke vibhagapoorvak ki gayi hai. ajakal log yah poochha karate haian ki brahmanadi varnoan ka vibhag janm se manana chahiye ya karm se? to usaka is prakar us srishti-rachanadi karm ka karta hone par uttar yah ho sakata hai ki yadyapi janm aur karm donoan hi varn ke aang hone ke karan varn ki poornata to donoan se hi hoti haian parantu in donoan mean pradhanata janm ki haian, isaliye janm se hi brahmanadi varnoan ka vibhag manana chahiye; kyoanki yadi mata-pita ek varg ke hoan aur kisi prakar se bhi janm mean sankarata n aye to sahaj hi karm mean bhi pray: sankarata nahian ati; parantu sangadosh, aharadosh or dooshit shiksha-dikshadi karanoan se karm mean kahian kuchh vyatikram bhi ho jay to janm se varn manane par varnaraksha ho sakati hai, tathapi karmashuddhi ki kam avashh‍yakata nahian hai. karm ke sarvatha nashh‍t ho jane par varn ki raksha bahut hi kathin ho jati hai. at: jivika aur vivahadi vyavahar ke liye to janm ki pradhanata tatha kalyan ki prapti mean karm ki pradhanata manani chahiye; kyoanki jati se brahman hone par yadi usake karm brahmanochitt nahian hai to usaka kalyan nahian ho sakata tatha samany dharm ke anusar sham-damadi ka palan karane vala aur achchhe acharan vala shudr bhi adi brahmanachitt yajnadi karm karata hai aur usase apani jivika chalata hai to pap ka bhagi hota hai.
  14. isase bhagavan ke karmoan ki divyata ka bhav prakat kiya gaya hai. abhipray yah hai ki bhagavan ka kisi bhi karm mean rag-dvesh ya kartapan nahian hota. ve sada hi un karmoan se sarvatha atit haian, unake sakash se unaki prakritti hi samast karm karati hai. is karan lokavyavahar mean bhagavan un karmoan ke karta mane jate haian; vastav mean bhagavan sarvatha udasin haian, karmoan se unaka kuchh bhi sambandh nahian haian (gita 9.9-10).
  15. uparyukt varnan ke anusar jo yah samajh lena hai ki vishv-rachanadi samast karm karate hue bhi bhagavan vastav mean akarta hi haian- un karmoan se unaka kuchh bhi sambandh nahian hai, unake karmoan mean vishamata leshamatr bhi nahian haian, karmaphal mean unaki kianchinmatr bhi a‍sakti, mamata ya kamana nahian haian, atev unako ve karm bandhan mean nahian dal sakate- yahi bhagavan ko uparyukt prakar se tattvat: janana hai aur is prakar bhagavan ke karmoan ka rahasy yathartharoop se samajh lene vale mahatma ke karm bhi bhagavan ki hi bhaanti mamata, asakti, phalechchha aur aanhakar ke bina keval lokasangrah ke liye hi hote haian; isaliye vah bhi karmoan se nahian bandhata.
